Hyperburner: One of the greatest mobile games
I may have purchased this game 4-5 years ago but I still come back to it every now and then. The levels are sometimes easy sometimes challenging and with wonderful controls and a lovely aesthetic the game is fun to play front to back. I wish the devs had a discord or way to contact them because I want to personally tell them this game is a masterpiece. I’ve unlocked every spacecraft and beaten every level and still play. Do yourself a favor and give this game a try
Very Underwhelming
After playing both Thumper (5 Stars) and Race the Sky (4 Stars), this was definitely the most underwhelming. This game tries to replicate the same l “WooOOOOAAAHHH!!!” feeling as the others, but the combination of a lackluster soundtrack and sound effects that can barely be heard over it, you can tell right away that it definitely isn’t the same. What does game does right is found in the more latter levels, but even then it still doesn’t compare to the excitement as the beginning/earlier levels of the other 2. The controls are responsive, and I haven’t had that many complaints about hit boxes. I also appreciate that there is a landscape option. I would honestly say this is a $.99 game at best. But, would probably be better off being free with the typical “energy“ system.
Good, but needs more content
The game itself is great, with beautifully designed levels (although some are a bit too similar) but there are almost no levels and I completed them all within a day. Please add many more levels and ships!

Needs to be updated because stutters and performance problems are happening such as stutters in really complex levels.

I would love the game so much more if the game suppported the newer devices, such as the iPhone X or 11 and if frames were raised to reduce laggy gameplay

i really like this game, i just refuse to play it on my new phone because it’s an iphone Xs max and it simulates massive annoying black bezels, making the game feel rubbish

I am just wondering if this game is still being updated because otherwise it’s kind of a waste of 3 dollars, only six world and 4-5 ships.
A triumph in simplicity and reward
**** please give us a 2024 version*** The controls are perfect. Just slight movement of my thumb on my iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPad Pro or iPad Mini. Love that I don’t have to control from the center. I can do it in landscape using my right thumb. Music and sfx are perfect. Many games have come and gone but even in 2024 I keep coming back to Hyperburner where I know I’ll get a consistent good time.

Great gameplay and graphics. No updates.
It’s tremendous fun to play and very addictive to cruise around in the ship but the app itself has not received any substantial updates in a long time. It doesn’t even support iPhone X yet.
Best Game
I’ve been playing app games since 2009. Flash games even before that. I recently went through all the games I’ve EVER played (maybe 2000 idk) and have decided that this is the absolutely best one still available. Congrats on the masterpiece I’m swimming in nostalgia over here.

Swipe, not steer
I’ll be honest, I was excited about this game and happy to pay money for it based on the graphics and everything, but I’m pretty disappointed that the flight controls are based on swiping and not actually steering. Personally, I like the flight games that utilize the gyroscopic mechanisms, whereas this game is based on fairly minuscule movements of your thumb.
IPhone X screen size - NOT!
Frustrating that nearly a year after the iPhone X is released this is still a rectangle iPhone 8-esque screen size. Seeking a refund.
Great game, fun for hours.
This fast paced game is great! Lots of challenges that get increasingly difficult the further you progress. With achievements you unlock ships that are with better shields and handling. You can also change views in the settings. The cockpit view is my favorite as I have bern able to complete every achievement. Overall this game provides hours of addicting entertainment. It’s equally fun for my 9-year-old and myself (over 40 years old).

Invisible walls
All you do is move to avoid stuff in your path, but some areas that look safe are blocked by invisible walls that force you into an obect. Could probably learn where the game wants you to go... but screw it, not good enough to be worth it. Wasted $3.

This game is not as you think. It's even better! The game have taught me how to be spontaneous with choices. It's actually the more quick you are the better you are. Thank you for this fantastic experience.

Decrease saturation
The graphics look really wonderful, but I would suggest a decrease in saturation in colours, as focusing on this game for longer time makes my eyes uncomfortable. Also a landscape version may be better for this game :D
Not worth 3 quid
Pretty basic game for the money. No story, no real depth or variety.
Highspeed Hitbox
While the graphics are amazing to look at, the mechanics are an issue. Even in some of the early stages, you must make split-second calculations in order to dodge the oncoming obstacles; level five of the first world in particular. Towards the end of this level you have less than a second to maneuver your craft into a hole barely big enough for it. Not to mention the rapidly shifting camera angles. The camera constantly rotates and, due to the quick finger movements required, rapidly zooms around, as well. The biggest issue I found, and the one that inspired the title of this review, is the hit box. If you are within what I'd say is a virtual foot, your ship will blow up. Clipped a pixel of ship's wing? Boom. Flew by too fast? Boom. In the end, it's a good game with flawed mechanics, like many other games. Don't just take my word for this, though. Take it as a suggestion, but try the game yourself. Who knows? You might find it amazing regardless of the issues. You might not even see any issues! Anyways, have fun and happy spacefaring!

Don’t sleep on this game, the sound track alone is worth it, you will have sweat dripping from your forehead trying to beat each level!

Crass music, horrible flickery graphics and the worst control system ever on the IPad. Less fun than poking yourself in the eye with a sharp stick. Deleted !!
Challenging
It’s a really fun game that has a gradual increase in challenge, and once you beat all the levels you can up the difficulty by increasing the speed. The physics are really easy to get used to and the ship is very responsive. It’s fun.

Great, but a couple of glitches
A great game, but some problems - the background of the holosim facility flickers a lot and is very irritating for the eyes, shields don't always activate when they're supposed to, and the holoconduit or whatever is very laggy and the ship glitches through obstacles and randomly crashed, preventing you to go further.

Bad game, bad controls
Nothing innovative, you just move your finger left and right to avoid obstacles that become so tight you can barely pass the levels - that's what difficulty means for them. The slightest movement of the finger sends the ship flying to the ends of the world due to bad sensitivity. Overall a mediocre game.
Add a tilt/barrel roll control
The wings of the ship make it a lot wider than it is tall. It would be fun to be able to rotate the ship so that we can fly through PAPER THIN slots by orientating our wings at certain angles. Do you catch my drift? This would take the game from cool, to THE GAME.

This games sounds like an awesome game and it is just there Is one major problem. It doesn't tell you the controls and this really annoyed me because it took ten minutes ti find this out.

Favorite game for the past 3 years
While I’m probably quite average in my skills, this is the game that I always go back to. The realism and strange vistas, have tormented me for hours. That you for the update, sir.
Rather poor
Feels like an unimaginative knock off of so many other games and belongs on a PC circa 2002. Dodgy UI and intro graphics, poor controls and no idea what the game is about or why I'm trying to get yet another spaceship through yet more space-gate-type-things. Glad I got it for free because I would not have paid for this!
Not for me; maybe for you
Got this for free. It would be one star, because it just doesn’t appeal. However, I appreciate the quality and work that went into it. It may not be for me, but I’m not much of an infinite runner fan in the first place (I gravitate toward games because of aesthetics); and it has a very unique style. Don’t be deterred by my rating; if you like infinite runners, give it a go. If not, the beautiful visuals will probably do little to make up for your lack of interest, and I would pass. Plus two stars for quality (and lack of IAP or ads, I always respect that) and plus one star that I was able to get it for free.

Its completely laggy on my device. The ship wouldn't even move, let alone handling and stuff. Settings menu comes up whenever i touch the screen anywhere.

Fun, but easy
Completed all the achievements in about three days of casual playing. It's pretty fun but really doesn't take too much effort to beat, and after a few minutes it'll either get really boring or really frustrating.
Game is nice . But overcharged
It showed ₹190 ..but charged ₹220 . That's not an issue though for small amount . But should show correct pricing . However , game is cool and engaging
