Lost years of notes
I had stupidly save precious notes from my grandmothers funeral and had diligently backed everything from this app up to my iCloud so that I had two places the data was saved. Now I can’t access my notes. I’ve contacted the developer over and over with no answer and I’ve tried Apple but they say the only way to get the back up is from better notes app. Definitely not worth the pain and suffering.

No undo or redo feature
Unfortunately, the lack of an undo or redo feature means this app is unusable for me as a note taking app. This may not be an issue on desktop or if Cntrl+Z is available, however this unfortunately is not the case on Ipad. If there is such a feature on Better Notes that I have somehow missed then please inform me & I shall update my review accordingly.
I never review anything
I’ve been using this app for about 5 years instead of the normal notes app. It’s been absolutely game changer. It’s quick. Simple and doesn’t take up a crazy amount of storage. It’s made my life a lot easier and I like being able to open a new section so easily. Thank you guys for making this app!
Too much clutter from their instructions
There are at least 5 notes with pictures and instructions that make this note app impossible. There should be an EASY way to delete them but they can’t be deleted. If I want a note app where the developer has a bunch of notes on how to use it and ugly photos, it’s absolutely useless. I’m dumping this app. Why should I be sick written 5 boxes with pictures of things like tennis shoes if it’s my app. If there’s a way to get rid of them, I’ve tried darn near everything. Is this the developer’s ad that never goes away. It’s hideous!!!!

Update to iPhone x was awesome. Archive feature is neat! I hope the developers keep updating the app

It’s good but needs passcode lock. Someone requested it 6 years ago and they haven’t implemented it yet, but one can hope.

Awesome simple little app. With iOS 11 update however it crashes when I delete a note. This can be fixed.
Deletes notes
This would be a great app except that it keeps losing my notes. If I do not exit a note, the note ends up gone. I’ve unfortunately lost a few important notes over the last month.
Used to love this
I used to love this app, but now that there is apparently no support, of course I have a major problem with nowhere to turn. All I can say, is save a copy of your notes somewhere else in case you inadvertently delete a note or the whole app.
Very handy
Very handy notebook. Adding pictures in the notes is great if you specifically need this. I like this app a lot. Great for business and study.

The only thing missing from this excellent app is syncing via iCloud. Would be 5 stars if it did that.
Abandonware
Sadly, this appears to be abandonware. (Software the developer has stopped working on.) There is still no update to fit the iPhone X display, and the twitter account has been silent for over a year. Thankfully, there is free PDF export, but it’s a less-than-ideal “everything together” option that makes it laborious to import anywhere else.
Buggy
Initially I like the concept. No app support/contact info available. User guide gives only some brief info. Spot for archived notes, but no way to archive. Save to pdf shuts down app/ a bug.

I’ve been looking for this exact app for years!!!! I love making notes on the fly for just random thoughts as I listen to podcasts and books while driving. This is perfect, just give me a quick and easy window to enter my thought and then throw it on a list I can scroll through later and make connections between thoughts. One request, PLEASE make a widget so I can start a not with a single click (I know it’s only 2 clicks now, but 1 right on the app screen would be perfect!)

Most efficient notetaking App in the world- Just needs companion web app
The search function is incredibly powerful the interface is simple and the functionality is unbeatable. Awesome app! All this app needs is a companion web app- even just an iPhone app emulator on a webpage with a login- and it would be absolutely perfect
without Apple Pencil support why bother?
When it comes to taking notes, the whole thing is about being quick and easy (convenient). Otherwise, why not use one of the many word processing or text editing apps? There are plenty that allow hashtags, searching and more. Problem is, they’re not fast and convenient. Then there’s the brilliance of Apple Pencil and it’s handwriting features. There are apps like GoodNotes, Notability, Note Shelf and more that utilize Apple Pencil and hand writing but again, these are major apps that must be launched and navigated. Good for serious writing but not for jotting quick notes. I hoped this would be the missing link. It’s not. Hashtags and searching are a nice addition but without Apple Pencil integration, it’s not convenient to me. If you don’t care about that, you will probably like this app. The description is accurate.
Great, but needs more
The app is great on iPhone, it's like having sticky notes in your pocket. But for those who need quick note taking options on iPad, the app needs to be optimized for iPad, and Apple Pencil support is needed. Otherwise, great little app for quick notes and thoughts that you wouldn't use your regular notes app for.

Good
So simple and easy to use, i love it. One problem I encountered was how the notes don't remember what i've checked off when I leave the app and so when I enter it, my todo lists that I initially ticked aren't checked. Aside from that, a neat notetaking app, I use it daily.
Great, but....
This app is so great and simple I love it. However, I had a year worth of poems that I had on there that I was going to write down in a physical journal since they’re so important to me, but they’re gone. No where to be found, not even in my archives. I cried so hard, those poems were written out of passion in my hardest of times and the fact that they just disappeared and I don’t know how to get them back makes me so sad.
Amazing Note Taking App.
The UI is very simple, if I come up with an idea, 2.3 seconds later it’s down on my phone. It’s that simple to turn on my phone, open the app, and write it that quick. No unnecessary tapping, straight to the note taking. Brilliant UI. So simple. I seriously recommend writing down all your ideas on here it’s so simple.

Straight forward and natural. Fast too! Would just love iCloud auto sync (iCloud manual backup is possible now.) and maybe and easier way to delete notes.

Hello, I absolutely love this app. I’ve been using it for some time to quickly write down my ideas or create to do list on the go. I love the ability to create hashtags so I can organize my notes by categories. Although I love this app I believe it can be better. Is it possible to have our hashtags organized in albums instead of list? I believe this would make it easier to navigate through the app. Currently it just feels like a endless list with a never ending bottom. So it can be overwhelming to sort out. I also think having a feature to change the background color of our notes would be amazing and another great way to organize related notes. For example being able to make all my #ToDo notes green. Then be able to view by color. Again thank you for creating such an amazing app. It’s honestly the best mobile notes app in my opinion and I hope my suggestions are able to help improve it.

Please add iCloud sync across multiple iOS apps , so the notes can be accessible on every iOS device using that icloud account .
Minimalistic, Easy and FREE Note-Taking App!
What a great addition to the App Store. The normal Apple notes app is similar to this but more clunky and full. This app redesigns that and allows for a more clean, sleek look with a majority of the normal functions of the normal Apple app. To do this, the app had to sacrifice some nice features from the Apple app, such as Bold, Italic or Underline fonts, adding recordings, adding different settings for fonts (Title form, Normal Text form) and there's not drawing option in this app. While there are some sacrifices, users are rewarded with an easy, minimalistic note-taking app that works well. 4/5 stars.

Good, but not five stars yet until it can import Apple notes and be locked with a passcode. Then it will truly shine. 👊
pretty good but
there is some issues with the reminder function, as others have noted, and i noticed that notes just don stay pinned if i close the app. i pinned a note when i first opened it and thats the only time it ever worked for me.
