Qirky, idiosyncratic, and addictive
So many irritating faults but as with a beloved family member I would never delete it. I’m playing with nine people at present who must like it as much as I do. Always tells me I’ve lost when I’ve won and vice versa.
Charged despite 2 week free trial
Fun to play, annoying that most of its behind a pay wall. Said I had a 2 week free trial but charged my card immediately. Only a couple of pounds but still very annoying.

Nice game
Was not sure at first if results given were ‘right letter in right place’ or just ‘right letter’. It is the latter. The trivia facts at the end are really interesting for all age groups, I’d imagine.
What a ripoff shame!
Really fun game for 5 minutes here and there, but 10 puzzles in and they want £3 PER WEEK to continue! How can I justify paying more for this single game than I pay for Netflix??? Value doesn't even compare. DELETE
Great game
Great original game and a really fair subscription price I feel, though it's a shame it's a subscription and not a one off but I see why that works better for the developers. It would be really great if there was a way to see which categories I already had games open in, as sometimes I leave the game to start another and can't tell which of the 61 categories I've already started.
Too cute for it’s own good
Normally love word games/play and the quite interesting fact you get after a win is fun. However, the terrible instructions on how to play the game left 2 of us scratching our heads for two days before actually making word sense of this. With say 7100 4 letter words in English, without a hint of what direction to pursue, this is a frustrating mess. At least in Qi there is a category that points one into a useful thought process. Then to top it off, if you get that far, there is a monthly subscription fee… YIKES 😱

It’s ridiculously difficult. I just started so maybe I’ll get into the swing of it, but right now I’m ready to give up!
Poor service but the game is quite good
I am already frustrated by the number of reviews that I have said that they have not had responses to issues regarding the app by the owners, Yet they are all too keen to take the money. I would recommend there were a place you could easily leave comments and that these were attended to on at least a weekly basis I think it’s quite fun and definitely addictive which I’m not sure is entirely a good thing. One thing I would like to change is the background which can be quite straining on the eyes at times and some options would be helpfulAnd going to make it easier to use in lower light
Don’t bother playing if you’re not willing to pay.
I repeat, this is not a free to play game. It’s free to install the game, yes, it’s free to play like 10 levels and then the game locks and forces you to pay a MONTHLY fee (which is quite high for the type of game, and it’s not even a one-off payment). Don’t even bother installing and wasting your time unless you want to pay in the long run.

I really like the game except I’m seeing the same facts repeated in the different categories. Also, in “Days Gone By”, I have one left to complete that somehow is set up to have 6 letters; all the others are 5 in this category. Can’t finish until this is fixed because, no matter what you put, it isn’t accepted - am guessing because it should be set up for 5 letters. Please fix.
It was fun for 20 minutes
Aaaaand then I was asked to pay $3.50/mo. I really enjoyed the idea of this game, but that's so costly over time for a phone app. It's most of the way toward what I pay for Apple Arcade for one simple game.
Money Hungry
Very fun game but you can only play the levels up to 20% completed and then you have to pay. You also have to pay to unlock the other games
Great brain teaser
Think Mastermind!- The 1970’s game with the different coloured markers and what looked like an old cribbage board. This is a letter version that requires a little lateral thinking. Great for passing an hour or two.
Buggy and stole money
The concept itself is good. But there was a promotion that said upgrade for 2 weeks free for the subscription, but they took the money out immediately and the next payment is due in 1 month so it clearly didn’t work. Also the multiplayer option just doesn’t work, I try to click Play when my turn and nothing happen.

Not letting me sign into Game Centre
I’m not able to play multiplayer mode because it’s not letting me sign into Game Center. The game crashes and leaves me on my home page after I click sign in, when I try to play multiplayer

Love the game but do not want to pay a subscription. Much preferred buying word packs I wanted. Just another way of making more money for the elves?....

Shame about the monthly subscription. If I could buy it at a fixed price then I would. Otherwise I could end up costing a small fortune over the months/years
Enjoyed Trial
Really enjoyed the limited amount of games they let you play at first. Loved it so much and almost went to purchase until I saw it was a monthly subscription. Why is everything a monthly subscription now? I just want to buy a game and be done not pay for it monthly for the rest of my life.

I was addicted within seconds! Whether you’re looking for something to pass a few minutes or happily lose yourself in for hours, this really is a great game for adults or kids.
No longer works with iOS, since upgrade to 13
I’m a mpsying subscriber. This has been an addictive if somewhat buggy game (and sadly lacking any chat facility I ever found), but since I upgraded to iOS 13, it doesn’t work at all — and there doesn’t seem to be any way to get in touch, mo customer service. C’mon. developers -/ at least communicate!

Recent update :(
Can’t play anymore due to the recent update. They’ve made it so ios14 is supported. I haven’t updated to that so I can’t access the app at all. Just glitches out straightaway. Had to cancel my membership due to this. It was a great game otherwise

What happened to paying for a pack at a time?
I hadn’t played this for a long time, it used to be that you paid for a question pack when you wanted one. Now I find that it’s a monthly subscription which is just not worth it, I really don’t want to be tied into paying every month. Perhaps qikipedia can tweet if Qiktionary change their pricing policy so I can download the game again?

Glitches not fixed, nothing done about it
There’s a glitch with one of the word packs where there is one extra letter to fill and it can’t be completed. After using up my hints I found out the word was ‘Penis’ with a blank space, and pressing ‘Submit’ just puts the letters back in order with the message ‘Oops! That’s not a word’ appearing. I tried to notify the developers but they have not replied once. No updates have been released and the subscription service have made this game worse than it used to be.
Good news/bad news
The good news is that this is a fun game to play. The bad news is that there are a limited number of free games before they ask you to subscribe. Not sure why the developers feel that this is worth $24. (1.99 a month) Good luck with that.

This used to be a good game. I bought a few of the extra packs. Now, when I try playing any games, including the free ones, it demands that I pay for them. Restoring purchases makes no difference. Avoid this, it’s just ripping you off.

Great, but . . .
I love this app, and am completely addicted - one of those 'just one more . . . ' games. However, my only gripe is that there is a large cost to get an upgrade, and even worse, it's NOT a one-off payment - I believe the most expensive lasts for only six months, then you have to renew. I don't mind a one time cost, but I'm totally against getting into an ongoing 'standing order' situation. At the moment though, I'm really enjoying the free game, and there are plenty of levels to keep me going for a while. ** Update: In principle I still love this game, which I play against my friend. However, I did end up paying for the ‘extras’, only to find that EVERY time I log in to play, I have to ‘restore purchases’. Time consuming, irritating and unnecessary. Also, in the games I play against my friend, we keep having games freeze on us - I may be able to see a game on my screen but it doesn’t show up on hers & vice versa. At one point I had 5 started games on my screen, none of which she could see, so I had to resign them all. I have emailed them about these issues but received no reply. Well my debit card details have just changed, so I’ve had a message saying my subscription renewal can’t happen. I think I’ll not bother to reply . . .
Subscription only: be warned
I really enjoyed the free parts of this, but rather than have you purchase new word packs, they ask you to subscribe. With auto-renew. Without a subscription, there's about 50 words you can play, with no free content ever added (as far as I could tell).

Fun and enjoyable game, but forcing users into a subscription rather than allowing them to buy outright makes it hugely expensive and, quite frankly, a bit of a rip off.

So £2 a month is nearly £25 a year I’ve had my iphone for nearly a decade, if we carry on like that thats £250 for a game.. (i’m still playing my £0.69 copy of angry birds) I know i’ve rouned up a little but....
Nope ...
I love QI. I love Qiktionary - and everyone in my family loves QI and loves Qiktionary. So ... we'd like to play together. So. I subscribed. But the multiplayer function doesn't, and the link to the support page doesn't, and emails to the developers about non-function bring no response. And the update didn't help. Just do the free stuff - it's a great app for that - but don't pay for multiplayer.
