Motivation
Seeing my heart rate helps me tailor my workouts to best achieve my goals one workout at a time. The result is a compounding effect for long term success.
Spotty
I’m not sure what the issue has been of late but the app is not recording workouts. I’ve updated the software, my device is new, the strap is in good condition. It’s disappointing to have the app fail after a hard workout. I hope the developers fix this bug.
Love MyZone w MyZone specific devices
I’ve been using MyZone for probably about 8 years. I’ve used an MZ-3, Switch, and MyZone Go with Apple Watch. I tried MyZone Go about a year ago (?) when it was brand new. Very unreliable tracking when using with Apple Watch. Went back to a Myzone device. Trying MyZone Go again, now, a year or two later, with Apple Watch. I am going to cancel the trial. The tracking using MyZone Go with Apple Watch is miserably poor. I love MyZone and its specific devices, but I do not recommend MyZone Go with Apple Watch AT ALL.
Will it work today?
Sometimes it records the whole workout and sometimes it chooses not to. Maybe my device is faulty. Support never helps. Went on an 8 mile run and there are multiple gaps in my heart rate. Moving on to something else. Only worth it if you get it on a major sale otherwise you will find missing data ALL the time.
Connection
Lately my GO feature has gone out t least twice in one week. Several updates in the last 7 days. At least 3 times. So frustrating as it is an aid app. Updates should be automatically updated
Amazing
Amazing very helpful
Phantom workout time
I worked out yesterday took off my Myzone® at the end maybe about an hour of total workout time. When I looked at my workout later and said I've worked out for 3 1/2 hours with heart rate track the entire time. I don't know where this came from but it's completely phantom. My monitor was nowhere near my phone from when I finish working out to when the workout displayed the extra. Can't really trust it. Also, the UI is completely jank. They need to hire UI designer to go in there and make this modern application. It looks like something from 2012.
Love it, but was free now you have to pay for it
Great app but all of a sudden I couldn’t access it and without notice you have to pay for it! Not the best way to treat your users.
Inconsistent recording.
The HR continually fluctuates from zero to 90% randomly. No answer to this issue. Also connections to other apps from Apple Watch is a big fail or the connection instructions are incomplete. Frustrating when my other two HRM’s have no issues at all. I have used this HRM for over 12 months and am not impressed they keep adjusting your max HR without any notice. So your training efforts usually end up getting lower. Go figure.
😑😑😑😑
Sometimes the app is accurate, sometimes the app is trash. Such as today. I killed myself in my workout for 45 minutes and it shows that I had 12 MEP‘s. 12. Ain’t no freaking way. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Mz3 review
Works great … easy to use and keeps you motivated !
My app isn’t connecting and no one is helping
I have been using the app for 3 years. Recently I went to three different people for support tickets and they are not wanting to help me with my device not reading my work out. I am so disappointed that all my progress in my app is missing. It’s not fair that they don’t want to help their customers when it is legit their job
I love my MyZone
But, I paid for the watch MyZone go and seem to have an issue not finding it on my Apple Watch. It is installed per my phone, but not showing up on my watch. Help!
For Beginners Only
Not Optimal for serious Zone Training - I have begun training for Z2 & realized that my personal zone two is not reflected in Myzone. It is incorrect for me. Myzone functions using a standard formula only and there is no ability to custom zones to a person. This is a major flaw of the product. Not everyone fits into a formula and therefore I can no longer use the product that I’ve been using since 2017. I recommend updating the functionality of the product to be able to include adding custom zones. I will no longer be using this product.
Not Satisfied
I am not satisfied with the device not accurately calibrating to my heart rate
Love Myzone
Myzone helps me with accountability by tracking my progress; as well as being apart of a community that also supports my fitness goals
Cool concept, poor execution
Too many bugs. Customer service can’t even fix them. Too bad because the concept is really fun, but the data is not accurate.
Good Training Device
It really helps to motivate me and creates a degree of competitiveness.
MyZone MZ-3 and App
My Myzone app is crashing, and now refuses to open on my iPhone 16. I’ve updated to the latest software version and it still crashes. I’ve been using Myzone for years, and to say I’m unhappy about the current situation is an understatement.
Content is nice, but “MyZone Go” needs serious work.
My gym uses this app, and it is pretty cool. The buttonless tracking is nice and works seamlessly with the “switch” - a dedicated myzone device. You do NOT need to buy a device if you have a compatible “Go” device like an Apple Watch which brings me to the unfortunate half of the review. Simply put, there are many problems with the “Go” service from dual tracking workouts to not tracking them at all. I can’t recommend the service in its current form - it just doesn’t work. I tried everything to get it working, but this needs some real attention especially since you charge for it. I design software for a living so it isn’t likely a case of user error. Would be nice if myzone could read historical apple health workouts and generate points from those.
Best
The best thing I’ve ever bought I would never use any thing again but myzone thanks for making it great
Myzone go
I paid for a year of my own go and now I can’t get my Apple Watch to track a workout. I’ve been trying for the last three days and it’ll start like it’s gonna do it and then it won’t. It’s impossible to get a support or to contact my Zone about it so now I’m out $60 for a worthless product really irritated about it and how difficult it is to get a hold of support on this.
Bad math
Mostly a good app, but occasional doesn’t add Mep’s to the total
Cool concept, poor execution
I bought my MyZone chest strap over a year ago to use with my gym. When it works, it’s wonderful. It gives real time feedback for how hard you’re working. However, the device takes 5-10minutes to start working (even after moistening the probes), so unless you remember to put it on well before you start your workout, you won’t get MEPs for a chunk of your workout. There were times where it never connected during a whole 50 min workout. And the constant beeping as it turns on and off is really annoying. SO I was really excited when I got an email from MyZone advertising their new MyZone Go which works with “your existing smartwatch”. It states repeatedly that it will work with the smartwatch you already have, but never once mentions that’s only true if you own an Apple Watch. They only tell you that AFTER you sign up for a subscription (which includes a free trial, so I didn’t lose money over it. It’s just misleading advertising, and it was clearly intentionally done). Do better.
Almost perfect!
I have been using Myzone® for many years, and it’s still boggles me that there’s one feature they have yet to implement. I use multiple sensors. Every time I switch between them, I have to delete one in order to add the other. Why can’t I just add multiple sensors, save them, and then activate the one I’m gonna use at that particular time? Why would that be so hard to implement?
Responsible fitness
The myzone monitor keeps me focused and the app make me see my effort and frequency displayed so I can see my process.. I’m better for theis.
Was good, now only frustrating
So I’ve had my belt for less than a year. Lately it keeps logging 2 workouts for the single one I just completed. Odd thing is the calories are just slightly different and the time is WAY off. So, say my workout was 11:30am to 1pm. 2 workouts are logged immediately after in app. One will be the correct 11:30-1pm with 595 calories. Then a second one appears saying 4:30pm-6pm with 625 calories. Happens Every… Single…Time. lately. It’s frustrating because I then have to remove the workout and data in multiple places since I’m tracking calories for weight loss and both workouts are logged in my other tracking apps, including Apple health. Support was not helpful at all. I no longer recommend this product and company. It’s not reliable. Please purchase a different brand if you want support and reliability.
Fix the slow page loading
Love my MZ but the latest update with the new look I’m not a lover of. I preferred when you were on target your profile was green, now you can’t see that unless you open your profile page. And the upload speed of each page is really slow and annoying
Updated and it dropped a 90 minute workout
Updated and it dropped a 90 minute workout
What happened
It seems like the app just went down hill. For some reason I would charge my myzone and it would be green and all of a sudden after workout the app says to charge. Now I can’t even open the app it just keeps crashing. I almost want to say I like the way it was. Being able to see my friends where they are at now all I see is how much they earned for the day. I gave 3 stars because it just keeps on crashing
My Zone Heart Rate Monitor
Works great, great way to keep track of activities, seamlessly pairs with most cardio equipment.
Great potential, but poorly executed.
Using a wearable to track progress is a good idea for most people. But there is no reason to use this device if you already have a smart watch. The only thing this does do that your smart watch won’t is project your heart rate in real time in an exercise class at your gym to all to see. I guess that competition would motivate some, but can’t you check your heart rate on that smart watch instead? The technology is super glitchy— in the middle of one class, the MyZone system projected someone else’s data on the big screen but under my username. And now they are selling a monthly subscription to use their system on your smartwatch? I’d recommend using another wearable you likely already have before buying this one. And if you don’t have an Apple Watch and you’re reading this review, go get one of those instead.
Good app after recent update
Used the app for nearly 2 years and it was good. A recent upgrade made a lot of changes. The look is much nicer and most things are there. What’s really annoying is the removal of your friends overall monthly MEPS score on the home page. This helps drive me to work harder when I see others getting close or ahead of me. The score is available but hidden in the settings groups area.
Please go back to the previous version
My workouts are not tracking accurately after the latest app update. I am not able to add the name of the workout class in the new app. Previously, I was able to see my progress in a particular class at my gym. I take multiple classes so now I don’t have any way to track my progress
The app stopped working
The app stopped opening. I wonder if it is linked to the recent upgrade. Please fix it!
MEP’s for life!
I absolutely love being apart of this Myzone movement platform. It stands with my Apple Watch so I can watch the dashboard while working out and I can go to the app and check what I’ve done. It’s fantastic! Highly encourage these things!
Why ?
What’s the point of updates every other week when it still won’t work? Made sure it was updated, still won’t connect.
Needs to stay innovative
Drop a PPG Whoop competition please!? Also- I should be able to change between my MZ-3 and my Switch easily, please let me have both. I want to add multiple photos to a workout not just 1. Explain what MyZone Premium is and I’ll buy it if it’s worth it for sure! Keep innovating the connection to Apple Watch and Apple health, my calories are often so far off matching my watch or my Whoop… Merch could be improved pretty easily also- Where is my HOF shirt!?! While I do Love this tracker and app and recommend, It does need regular improvements and does feel like large parts of it and the overall experience could be freshened up easily.
Barely worth having now
Recent update has dumbed it down. Zone details in the graph are no longer accessible. Not sure I’ll bother using it any more.
Glitchy
All is well with the previous version of this app now the total meps aren’t reflected or accurately calculated so your short meps each month
My App
The app is great, it really helped me get focused. It also is a sneaky motivator, without knowing it makes me not want to give up.
Workout not processing
Wore my strap two different times today for an hour each none of the workouts are processing. Updated the app and now my home screen is blank with the circle of death just swirling.
Default to wrist on summary
After the latest update the workout summary default to wrist and doesn’t allow to change. Have to save it then go back and edit to move to chest strap
Issues
Hopefully this update will sort out my issue. Each time I put it in it beeps all the time every couple of mins or so snd won’t connect. Thought it was the band purchased new band but still happening. Also the device states to charge it when it is at 96% - Fingers crossed
Same problems as old reviews!
I’m experiencing the same problem as reviews from years ago. Rising through the ranks is very motivational, but is also frustrating when the records aren’t accurate. I use a chest monitor. During my workout the app will show different MEPs and workout minutes than what is recorded when the workout ends. It cheats the user out of their progress. The monitor also beeps incessantly after workout even after being cleaned and dried, and there’s no way to stop it. Hard to love a system/device that’s wrong AND annoying. But chasing MEPs is definitely motivating.
My workout partner
I started using myzone during Covid, my gym closed down for a while and I found myself having to workout alone. As most of you know, working out without the gym buzz can be challenging, I have always had partners in the gym. Well the gym owner turned me on to Myzone, and it changed everything. I managed to cut 40lbs and get in the best shape in years, and I owe it to Myzone for the support the push to get my meps. I highly recommend Myzone especially for people who train on their own.
Have to Reinstall App
I have to keep deleting and reinstalling the app because it won’t connect. This is a new problem since iOS 26 came out. They have not stayed updated with the changes. They need to fix this! I have been using this app for almost 5 years, this is the first time this has happened. I guess they are asleep at the switch. Maybe they stopped caring about us. Here I sit, frustrated, writing a review instead of exercising and reaching my fitness goals. Thanks for the help MyZone. 🤨😡😤
Awesome piece of gear
Has a few issues but overall it is a great piece of gear and the points make it very motivational. I have had no problems with assistance on the rare occasion I needed it. Loved it so much I bought a new one when the old one died.
Full of bugs
Have had myzone for many years. It’s constantly full of glitches which mess up stats. I’ve reported faults in the apps ‘myzone maps’ function numerous times via various avenues advised with zero response from customer service. Multiple updates have been installed since o first started reporting the issues to them and none have fixed, or even attempted to fix, and the bugs in question. Not worth the money.
Doesn’t always work.
When it works, it is very helpful. It often disconnects from phone while I am exercising, but I don’t know that until I am done. When I wear the MyZone on my wrist, I track the points. When I go to the app the points recorded are often lower. I am not sure how accurate this device is.
