I notice that it’s easy to report an outage by a one button press, but there’s less in the way of topical updates. So it’s useful if multiple people report an outage in the area to know you are not alone, but no longer are we updated on progress.

The app does notify me of things to expect such as power outages, water shortages, etc. Though in the past, it wasn’t always accurate on certain push notifications regarding water and electricity supply interruptions.

The does not show time of the load reduction until it’s the day before. Which is too late to plan our day.
Update mess
Good app. I could have given 5-stars; but was disappointed by your latest update that got app on my older phone not to work, it just crashes. It was functioning well just before your latest update. Please work on resolving that. Please allow editing your own text in the event of realizing a mistake or missing something.
Pointless app
What’s the point of this app if there is no loadshedding and the Insights showing supply vs demand has been removed? Also Signing in with Google just spins forever.
No Actual Assistance
I think the app would actually be helpful if the people who work at the power station/ water station would actually update the people of the area regarding the outages. right now it's just "i feel better because others are suffering with me" but there's no way to actually make sure the issue is fixed faster and more timeously.

Great, but needs a sorting function
It’s really helpful, essential actually in our current state of the nation. I just wish the “Ask my street” section could be sorted by time-posted. That way I could know what the most recent scenario is instead of having to page through everyone’s thoughts and feelings that they posted whenever they posted.

I can’t start a chat anymore. When I try contact esp to sort it out I can’t do that either because I don’t have email on my phone and I don’t want email on my phone

This Application used to be extremely useful. Now it’s become a multimedia discussion App, possibly attempting to compete with X, or Twitter, or telegram, Facebook etc. I’m now canceling this App and moving to Twitter.
App may run faster like Mapimpi but no longer updates
Jeff, please make the app compatible for iOSs below V16.0 again. Can’t see a reason for the exclusion, and I really really don’t want to buy the latest iPhone.

Great App with Useless AI Summaries
The app is useful, even though load shedding currently appears to be under control. However, the AI-generated summaries are consistently inaccurate and often misleading. They add little value while unnecessarily consuming computing and environmental resources.
Struggling with relevance?
This app is very useful when the ANC messed with Eskom. Now that they seem to not need it to manipulate us anymore or have been caught out, let’s say, the app isn’t being used as much. A bot or lame people post messages that are irrelevant or out of place. Wish there was a way to switch those chats off.

Terrible moderation makes it extremely crusting to use
This app deals with issues which negatively impacts people’s lives meanwhile the biased and, frankly, incompetent moderation team silence users for actually legitimate criticism. There isn’t even any useful info coming out of the app most of the time in the first place. The vast majority of anything I’ve seen is people asking “is the power out for you too” with everyone looking at each other like brainless mush hoping someone else will do or say something useful or explanatory. God only knows why I keep this junk on my phone…
Irritating ads
Pity you have to put all the adverts in. It makes exremely difficult to access the atual schedule. That is what this app is fot. Not buying Pork sausages.
B* blocks
I hate the blocks view because the app is showing me multiple recommended blocks and they don’t have the same schedules. This is very confusing and makes planning for load reduction hard. Please take it back to the normal suburbs thing. Your App Store update info says you took it back to suburbs but I just recently updated the app and I see blocks.

Life and tech collide. This app is the result. A living example of how tech can actually help hoomans every day. Instantly improving and enhancing. I’m convinced that eventually they will unilaterally end load shedding.

I don’t like the new update. Can’t see the schedules like before. The chats section has taken precedence it seems.
Disgusted with load shedding! Eskom are corrupt beyond belief.
People shouldn't have to live like this because of greedy Eskom mismanagement. They have slowly but surely put South Africa into such a state of poverty, no sensible company will invest in this country anymore. When will the masses realise it's only getting worse???? Never coming back here on holiday. It was miserable. Just grateful I don't have to live like this. Load shedding is the only thing South Africa can do accurately! And that's not even guaranteed to work every time. 😡🤬

"The 'Street Cred' system is completely broken and being weaponized by trolls. I have been without power in Roodepoort for 2 days, and when I looked for updates, I was targeted by a user who used a homophobic slur ('fag') directly in the chat. Despite this being a clear violation of SA law and the app’s TOS, the automated system did nothing to him. Instead, because he has 'farmed' 40 points in just 18 days, he and his group mass-reported me for defending myself. Now my reputation is at -20, my comments are auto-removed, and I’m timed out while the person using hate speech walks free. This app has become a haven for 'burner account' trolls who manipulate the reputation system to silence residents seeking actual help. If you're looking for real outage info without the abuse and toxic 'high-school' moderation, stay away. The developers need to implement manual oversight for slurs and stop letting reputation points shield bullies."
Where’s the forecast gone?
We know it’s unpredictable, but the latest update from this app is just that? Where do I get to see the forecast. And I generally found the previous one screen overview a lot more useful than this latest upgrade. Still usefull, less user friendly

Unable to refresh with latest info
Love ESP - it’s always been accurate and up-to-date but today it is showing loadshedding when it has apparently been suspended. I have refreshed a number of times but the info is still inaccurate.

The app is great, in so far as it (as accurately as possible...) gives times. But this Askmystreet function is terrible. It is nothing more than an agony column. Continuous idiotic comments and complaining. Hardly anything useful or constructive. Also, the distance range is far too wide. I live in Bedfordview - why on earth am I having to read what people in Alberton say...???
