Love this
Is really useful and convenient, help you even with videos and information , love this best product that I could ever buy.
Thieves
These people are thieves. I woke up yesterday morning to a large charge to my PayPal account from this company for a premium subscription I never signed up for. And this was done two weeks after I purchased the scanner device, trying to go unnoticed. These people are thieves. Fortunately, PayPal stepped in and I got a full refund. I’m also returning the scanner, unused and unopened for a refund and I will be taking this app off my phone.
FIXD
I gave FIXD a 4 star review only because I wish the App would let you know EXACTLY what the diagnostic code not only means but tells you exactly what is wrong and needs to be repaired and not give you only what possibly could be wrong . Other than that, the app is absolutely what it says and does I’ve used it many times.
I randomly got charged $108 🤔
The device is cool…but why I randomly got charged $108.86. I only made a one-time purchase.
Great little tool
Only thing preventing a 5 star rating is the fact that they need to update software to be able to program keys for cars.
Ease of use
What I like most is it grades the issues like what’s critical and what’s not. Also explains the code not just gives it and then you have to look it up elsewhere.
Not even 24 hours-I’ve received 50+ online payments offers
All these guys want to do is pull more money from your pocket. They issue a product, then lace it with hidden fees so you have to pay for the info you bought the product for in the first place. Just get a normal OBD2 scan tool and skip the headaches this company brings
Good for buying used
This tool was invaluable when I was looking to buy a used car. It showed me history of check engine lights, and identified bad codes. I’m a little skeptical using it. To diagnose issues with my own car. However, I haven’t ruled out that the problem is the car itself.
Shady Subscription charges and unfriendly app interface in this regard
I got charged $100 after ordering the tool for cheap, then didn’t even get all the things the order was supposed to come with, and when I downloaded the app, the interface is good for the scanning part but managing ANYTHING having to do with your account is near impossible to do. I had to flag the charge and now I have to order a new card because I can’t use mine anymore… very very shady way of the company handling account user interface.
No opt out options
While the app works great, they automatically subscribe you to the premium service without notice and there’s no option in the app to unsubscribe from it.
Great OBD Scanner
5-star
Unauthorized charge
Buyer beware
FIXD
Works great and helps me resolve check engine issues
Scammers
The OBD tool works great but they made features that were free cost a premium subscription, I noticed this after having the app for a while where I didn’t use it and hopped back in to scan a code and I couldn’t see what I would normally look at because they made it subscription based, scammers
update makes harder to scan a lot
you have to write the kms on your vehicle everytime you scam now which for someone who uses this to clear engine lights all day everyday it’s very annoying. was better when you could just scan and clear right away. please change
Big blessing
Since some Macanics see a woman coming they try taking advantage which I’m from city so I’m pretty hip to things going on in cars at times but this device has saved me in over priced or they want to charge more for their diagnosis which is same I’ve compared a few times I thank you for this wonderful blessing and for us low income elders also is a big blessing.💕💕💕
Shady app
The device works, but they charged me for a subscription I did not approve. Then to actually cancel the subscription you have to go through multiple pages of bs. This is super shady business and I would never recommend them to anyone
Update for IOS
It’s a great program. There’s no arguing that, but it needs to be updated so that you can delete information completely out of it on Apple. I tried to do the recommended reinstall program, but it keeps bringing back the stuff I wanted to delete to begin with.
Poor Vehicle Detection
This cant detect my Hilux 2013 Ute or read the Km’s. If it cant do the basics its useless to me.
Keeps crashing
The app keeps crashing and i just updated it and I would like a fix for this please
Great tool
Has helped me countless times begin to diagnose my CEL on my BMWs and Cadillacs. Easy to use everytime and helps track maintenance.
This is a scam
I bought the fixd scanner online , I thought it was a cool gadget. But I never signed up to a subscription!!! I downloaded the app and was waiting to use it one day. Next thing you know , they charged me $100 with out me signing up. I guess they just took my Apple Pay info and signed me up automatically. That a scam if you ask me. With out my permission. !!!!
First use
Nothing to report really as this is the most well serviced vehicle I’ve ever owned. Everything on time ( or annually) Clean bill of health according to FIXT. I imagine this will be very useful if warning lights come on. Information for AA, RAC etc prior to them turning up.
Awesome app, predatory subscription
The base app is good, and with the subscription, it’s even better. I no longer needed the extras with the plus account (or whatever they call it), so when I got the email it was about to renew, I tried to cancel. It takes almost 10 different screens, with different button locations/colours/shapes/text to actually get out. I was happy with the product, but any company willing to employ dark patterns to keep someone will never get a dime from me again. This would have been a 1 star rating, but they did email me to tell me it was going to renew. Great product, garbage retention policy, so garbage company.
To Bad but not the best
It’s great for keeping records of the car, BUT not as deep or detailed as BlueDriver (I own both units). Scanning my car with FIXD showed NO ALARMS but when I scanned the same car with BlueDriver I got two oxygen sensor codes… So FIXD needs some work. Customer support is great and fast in my experience so far but at this stage I recommend BlueDriver for not much more money over FIXD.
Amazing!
Love this little sensor so much! It is so awesome to keep on hand! It’s saved me so much money and time instead of having to take it to a shop to get a code read! My family and friends are also very thankful that I have it because I’ve saved them from having to do the same thing! 10/10 would recommend getting one of these to anyone!!!
SCAMMERS
They took my money after i cancelled my subscription, be careful guys , They are scammers
Great App
Amazing tool and very useful, i just wish it worked better for Canadian users!
Barely worth $1
Great idea, probably a great product, but I don’t know because after using it one flawlessly, I can’t find any information or even know if it’s worked the next time because I’m bombarded with attempts to by a subscription and it tells me did 5/6/7/8/9/10 scans but no problem. Engine lights on but it’s not telling me anything anymore. Scanned 6 times today and no clue f it’s working because it won’t show me a problem or tell me the last problem I had. Trying to be informed and safe with your car should not take cheap device and $200 subscription
Good
I honestly like it and like the AI bot but i wish it worked better in Canadian market and also it doesnt read carfaxes and says that vehicle dont have accidents when they do !
2020 Escape
Had a code on the headlight switch module. Luckily it came up 3 days before my extended warranty went out. Thanks to fixed scanners , I got it fixed.
unauthorized charge
i don’t know why this app tried to change my card $109.74 without my consent as i didn’t even sign up for anything let alone a free trail, that was uncalled for and unacceptable, i haven’t even used their services, my only vice was ordering their scanner which i haven’t even opened, useless
Bugs?
I did the app update and now I’m getting a bunch of airbag codes that no other OBD-II scanner picks up. The light on the dash isn’t even on. I clear the codes and they come back.
Not recommend
I have an issue with car, I see it on dashboard. I bought this device to make quick diagnostic what’s wrong and for some kind a hobby. But, surprise, the app and/or device doesn’t see this error. The app is very poor from UX point of view.
FIXD OBD 2 Scanner
This is a great product, easy to use easy to understand while they automatically enroll me to a premium membership for a year and automatically deducted it on my account too. The problem arises when I am looking for an affiliated shop to bring my car they don’t have it here in Canada. Right there, I decided to cancel my premium membership. Why should I waste my money when I can not avail for the services in my area. Do I need to go to USA to avail for an automotive technician’s services. Although the scanner helps to know the needed service but still you need to go somewhere else to do the fixing. Thank you anyway.
I’m a believer.
Been meaning to order this for years now and finally got the sensor and installed the app. Sure enough, the check engine light came on and I was able to find out, it was just an EVAP warning and nothing serious. Great price for peace of mind.
They just won't stop trying to fraudulently charge me.
Like many people I paid $20 for the scanner, then they tried charging me $99 - how many boxes were there to uncheck on the purchase page, did I miss one? My bank sent a fraud alert, I said I did not authorize the charge, they immediately cancelled my card & issued a new one a week later! That was a year ago. Well, today they just tried again to charge my new card number! I don't even know how they got it but yet again my bank cancelled my card. What a mess. The device works fine, it's just the trying to steal my money part I have a problem with. Beware
New user-Great app & Bug report
Great App!! Here’s 3 bugs and then it’s 5 stars!! 1) 2004 Toyota Sienna won’t accept milage input (304k) reverts to ~6K, my other Honda and brothers van worked fine. 2) iTunes setting for subscription info?? Honestly I’ve never used iTunes to manage a subscription. App needs access and link to website to manage account. 3)Premium/Trial monthly subscription should stay active if cancelled early.
Does not work with newer phones
Does now work with iphone x and above!. What a waste of money
Which car
Questions do not include C200 MB. Why?
State of the heart scanner
Really love this tool very easy to use software is extremely user-friendly very straightforward. Answers giving a lot of options as far as diagnostic definitely a must have for any Mechanic or car enthusiast
Waste of effort
I bought this and was disappointed with the results, but then I was notified by my bank that FIXD attempted to charge my cc $106.59 for the Premium subscription I had never seen or agreed to. Further, there contact information is almost impossible to get through to anyone. My advice. Stay away.
Mr truth
The only think that we would like to see is that when to change brakes and also if light are burn and other things but overall I’m so happy with my purchase and one day I hope that they will make subscription free because the amount of money that they receive in purchase is more than enough
FIXD
Does show codes for engine management light but I’ve got abs light / traction control light/ tyre pressure light all on dash and it doesn’t pick any of these problems up would be good if it was updated to pick more stuff up very limited on what it can do
FIXD
It’s good But there mechanic is only for USA not much for Australia
Great tool to have!
Great tool to have. Pay for itself after one use.
Zero stars. Over charged
Never once did i sign up for their premium but yet i was charged $200 in the first 5 days iv had the app. Very sketchy stay away!, would just go to auto zone next time they don’t charge
Cruze diesel.
This has helped identify a number of engine codes - the main one being P200C DPF OVERHEAT. What has puzzled me is when this comes up with a cold engine. Other engine codes are related to sensors. P2A00 02 sensor P0101 MASS AIR SENSOR P200A Intake Monitor Control P2263 Turbo Pressure This confused me. Regards Jack
Costly and disappointing
Brought a couple of these in response to a youtube ad. Had to pay import duty plus post office surcharge total £18. Plugged it in and set it up. Immediately pestered to subscribe to a premium service at about £7 a month. Not what I thought I was getting. Inputting VIN number is a faf, output not as comprehensive as the entry level traditional plug in diagnostic equipment I borrowed in the past
Great idea if it worked
Some functions are cool but if I have lights on my dash why does it say there’s nothing wong🤔
