What people like

What they complain about

- App crashes and loses work.
Great app
I spent quite a lot of time trying out similar apps, but didn’t find what I wanted. This one didn’t have many reviews…so I passed over it at first, but then decided to try it out because of the low price. I’ve been amazed at the ease of creating really beautiful versions of my photos. You have very precise control over the effects…and you can create a final product that actually looks like a painting. This truly outperforms the more expensive apps, and I think I looked at about all of them in the apple App Store. Give it a try….you’ll be very pleased.
Don't update
The app was great untill I updated it... lost all the functionality that I liked in the older version now it's a horrible program .
Very good painting app.
Results are very believable and realistic looking. I love it!
What the heck happened to the presets?
I LOVED this app ! I loved it up till last month so much I had bought the $40 version on my mac. What the heck did they do with all the wonderful presets across the bottom of the screen that let you choose many many color tones????? It is not good at all now!! I don't have hours to try every conceivable combination of possibilities. Esp with only the three sliders. I have 5 jobs. BRING BACK the presets!
Update has problems
I have app on three iPads. I finally updated the app on one of the iPads. Uh oh! It crashes constantly and loses whatever was being worked on. I will not update on other iPads.
Thanks for the update and beautiful application
All applications from this developer are excellent. I want to say thank for your hardworking. With Kindest Regards-BR
Low quality
Very low quality results..the worse I’ve seen from any of the ‘paint’ apps. Very unprofessional and not worth using.
Love love love
This is THE best way to make something great from an imperfect photo. My go-to for salvaging an out of focus pic or for beautiful artwork for a special photo.
Don't believe the hype
Don't believe the hype with this or any of this developers other applications. He must've had his kids and friends right all of the reviews. This app is less than spectacular. As a matter of fact, it is quite disappointing as are the others I also paid to try out.
LISTEN TO ME...
I have HUNDREDS of art apps. ANYTHING BY JIXIPIX IS FANTASTIC. I buy them as fast as they develop them. I have had so many compliments on their enhanced software, I feel guilty taking the credit for this developers photo apps!
Artista Impresso
Was really excited about this app. Sadly it won’t let me save the finished photo to my photo library.
Beautifully rendered "paintings"
This app does an absolutely wonderful job rendering a digital painting. Their desktop app for the Mac is also superb. I would like to see a paintbrush option for rendering detail in this app vs the elliptical process.
Great app
Enjoy working with the app, images are amazing
Crashes
Does not work at all. Crashes every time and you loose your work. I have not been able to finish one image.
Simply good!
Complicated photos with lots of detail do not work as well as simple subjects.....for example. A vase of flowers. A single person. A close up. Simplicity is the secret with all painting whether electronic, or for real in the studio. Give me a piece of paper and some pencils or paints and and real brushes and I could knock spots of this app. Good effort though, but it's 'false' isn't it? Fake art,no skill needed, and no soul. Interesting though! But it's for idiots who can't take the trouble to learn how to draw and paint properly.....I can by the way!
Wonderful App
Very creative and lovely App!!
Presets?
Had to downgrade my rating. Where did the presets go? Please fix.
Neat!
Great little app for turning your images into paintings, with quite a bit of versatility.
My Impression
This app enhances my photography in a way that brings out more depth and a broader perspective in a way that encourages me as an artist to explore and think outside the box❤️
Update seems to have removed key feature...
I "updated" the app I've had and loved for years. Where did the presets go? Very disappointing.
A Dream App
There is so much to love about this impressionist paint/art editing app! It's easy to use, has options to tweak the preset styles, and is consistent in its heartiness (no crashing, everything works without fuss). My hesitation to giving 5 stars is that I wish for various brush types like rough, wet, dry, and controlled angle (which I'm sure with updating could turn this app into a "world's best" for the style). So JixiPix, any chance you will make those improvements? Please???
Love it
Absolutely fabulous. Would even pay twice for what I got. Highly recommend!
Not worth the price
I am very disappointed with this app. Doesn't come with the presets you need to make edits. Don't waste your money!
Impresso
A nice app with lots of variety
Amazing Artistic Posibilities
It is like finishing a paintinting as fast as you can dream.
Surprisingly poor
The results just look like a blurry version of the original with a colour shift - no real evidence of any brush strokes. There are far better painting simulation apps available.
Great App!
Does exactly what I wanted it to do.
Works Great!
I just got it as a free app of the day and installed on iPad Air 2. No problem opening and modified photos with no problems at all. To those have update problems, I would recommend deleting and reinstalling app. I've similar problems with other apps and that always did the trick.
Great app!
I use this app as part of my professional illustration process. It's quick, and has all the control you'd need.
This is one of the most creative apps of this kind
Just take some time to play with different images and options.
