4.6 out of 5, based on 4,064 reviews.
What people like
- Ivory piano sounds are incredibly realistic
- Sound quality rivals expensive hardware modules
- Works well as a lightweight travel rig
What they complain about
- Purchases often disappear or fail to restore
- App crashes frequently during live performances
- Customer support is slow and unhelpful
- Missing basic controls like drawbars for organs
Muy bueno
Espero que pronto puedan agregar otros piano como el 01W y el n364
NO note names
doesn’t even tell you what note you’re playing. Absolutely worthless. Notes are not labeled ie C2, E4
Module pro
Muy buena app. Puedes hacer combinaciones y muy buenos sonidos para tocar en vivo.
Excellent Product Overall
I couldn’t give it any more stars, as I am really miffed at KORG. I purchase the add-ons, paying a lot of money for the in-app purchases, and KORG arbitrarily deletes them from the available page. Fine, then refund us,, don’t just keep the money and discontinue.. not cool
Heavy with DLC packs
Not a fan of the add on packs, to get them all it would be hundreds. Still, the base pianos you get here sound nice
Update/upgrade
Hi Korg I really love the pure guitar magic but can you guys give us the pure guitar magic sounds with no effects just the clean version of each guitar in korg modules and in Santa Ana where we can put our own effects and give us possibilities in korg modules to mixe 6 to 8 different sound together and level them too however we want and thank you korg modules team keep up the good works guys.
Module Pro Now Crashing
After using Module Pro in my professional keyboard rig for over 4 years, the program has proven itself unreliable due to regular crashing. The program will freeze on my M1 iPad Pro forcing me to close the program and reopen it, sometimes in the middle of a gig. There is also a frustrating problem with it not remembering set list edits, even though I constantly save my set lists, sometimes newly added songs disappear. I am looking to drop Module for a more stable app. After being promised a two months ago that an update addressing these serious problems was “imminent”, the program is still losing songs and crashing during gigs. I suggest that you look elsewhere.
The Triton
We all love the m1 and would really love the complete version on iOS. Is there any hope of getting the triton auv3 ?
current version not holding purchases
feb 4/26 since the most recent update, Module Pro does not retain my purchases and i have to restore them every. time. help! i've deleted and reinstalled the app, it still happens...... help!
Latest Update Purchases show installed but not in Module presets…
As above. Update: I installed the free version of Module and did a restore purchases which restored them and restore the purchases for Module Pro the uninstalled the free version of Module and everything was still there. This is a work around but the issue still persists in Module Pro. One star added to what is otherwise a fantastic app. Previous review as of 15 December 2025. Module has seemed more unstable recently with Oasys piano install constantly disappearing, now all my purchases show as installed but not in the preset browser. Reinstalled and deleted content but problems persists.
Great App!
I am very impressed! After my Nautilus missed a Delta flight this week, I decided to duplicate our entire show using Module with AUM for splits. The sound quality was easily on par with the Nautilus (of course, the Nautilus is far deeper). I can't wait for the day Korg expands the app's split/layer capabilities!
Sudden major problem
I use Korg Module Pro in the AUM app. Suddenly today, when I open a saved project with Korg Module Pro in one or more tracks, if I change the voice it is playing, the track with Korg Module Pro instantly crashes. This failure is happening 100% of the time.
Suggestion
Need to have the Split and Layer function working together at the same time
Disappointing
The stock piano sounds are underwhelming and inferior to any decent portable stage piano. I downloaded a trial of the Ivory piano expansion but it never showed up in the app, even after downloading it twice. There also doesn’t appear to be drawbars to adjust the organ patches. I guess you need to buy an expansion pack for that. I am annoyed that I spent $20 on an app that is so limited. The organs and EPs are much better in Apple’s Logic for iPad. Logic is more expensive, but it provides the control and sound I expect from a professional app.
Great Korg piano sound, but won’ install on Apple Silicon Macs
Several other instrument synthesizers that were originally designed for iPad and iPhone now run on Apple Silicon Macs, greatly simplifying MIDI music live performances and MIDI music performance recording. This paid Pro version of Korg Module ought to be just as versatile to run on MacOS as our more complex symphonic instrument synths and pipe organ synths.
Excellent instrument sounds!
Excellent instrument sounds in a resource light wrapper!! My only “issue” are some of the default settings. For example, I highly recommend the Premier Cello IAP, but it’s default ADSR do not do it justice. Make some adjustments to the Attack and Sustain and you can get some beautiful realistic sounding bowed cello sounds. KORG Module Pro may well be the best set of 3rd-party instrument sounds available on iPadOS. If I could only have 2 instrument plugins, they would both be KORG. Module Pro and iM1 workstation in an iPadOS app.
New Packs Not Showing Up in Gadget 2
Korg Module is supposed to integrate with gadget 2. I bought the packs that are on sale today. None of them are showing in gadget 2, even w refreshes and restores. I went thru every gadget associated with Module Pro, and there is nothing of the new sounds showing up in gadget 2. This plugin no longer works as advertised with gadget 2
Great but........
Very high quality sounds. It would be vastly more useful if it was multitimbral and have split/ layer functionality. Update: Korg informed me that there is split and layer functionality. There absolutely is, however you only have two parts. I was thinking more in terms of like how lots of hardware romplers have a combi mode where you have anywhere from 8-16 multitimbral zones. This is an especially important feature for keyboardists in cover bands or where we need to cover a variety of different parts at the same time. For example, a single patch containing 5 zones where zone 1 is an EP layered with a string pad, zone 2 is a synth brass patch, zone 3 is a synth lead, zone 4 is a marimba an zone 5 is an organ. This kind of functionality would be killer.
It’s ok, needs a couple things
The sounds are pretty good. I like that I can use it live on stage. Unfortunately there are two issues, I’ve used it on both my phone and my iPad, but it constantly drops the connection with both midi and usb mid song causing me to have to disconnect and reconnect it to get a connection. Not very good as my band has contracts with casinos in Nevada that pay very well and if we can’t perform, they won’t renew our contract. I also use my iPad to run sound at the same time I’m playing and when I switch apps to adjust something the Korg app stops working. Other apps allow me to do that. I have to adjust the sound then reopen the Korg app. So now I have to use two separate iPads to prevent this from happening. Also, the sounds are good, but are limited as to how much I can adjust them. Need more mids? Nope. Need to cut lows? Nope. Not in all of the sounds anyway. Need drawbars on your organ? Nope. Just the presets for you. Want to add distortion to your instrument? Compression? Nope. That’s only allowed on some of the instruments. I’m keeping the app because I’m hoping some of the issues I have will be addressed at some point. Don’t get me wrong, the sounds so far are better than the majority of other apps. But my Roland keyboards have the ability to adjust way more, it’s just a lot harder to do and they’re big and heavy to lug around.
Please update for modern devices
No real updates to this for a long time now and you have since released the Korg Keystage. Neither Module or Gadget respond to aftertouch which is a key selling point of the new controller keyboard. Please update the organs to have their drawbars controlled externally, include aftertouch on some synths and can we please have more of the gadget sounds in Module. More poly, splits and layers would help too. iPads are much more powerful now than when Module was released.
Good practical app
This weekend I’ll make a lot of money by setting up my main rig for a wedding reception and then playing the ceremony with a midi controller, korg plug key, this app on my phone and an amp. The other choice would be to play my 61 key synth for the service but considering the tunes I need to play, that’s not practical. I’m to old to lug an 88 key Nord back and forth through a crowd. I’ve played several gigs with nothing but the korg app and the above. Korg plug keys aren’t easy to come by but if you keep your eyes open you’ll find one.
Cannot download 80s EPS + other iaps
6 months later, no response from customer service (in China lockdown??) - same issue. PROFESSIONALS, don’t use this app with IAP libraries. This app unloaded my Triton iap for no reason. (My iPad settings have “unload unused apps” turned off.) A gig-killer. ➡️✅ Use SAMPLETANK instead!!! I selected 80s EPS IAP TO RESTORE TRITON. GAH! 😖 Selecting Wurly iap restores already installed Scarbee EP.🤨 Anyone reading this have any solutions? (At this point, KORG owes me an IPad Pro. Heheh! 🤣) Meanwhile, I’ve switched to a Surface Pro 7, using Kontakt... iPad Air, 1st gen; 16gb. iOS 12.5. 2.7gb avail; library is 535mb It shows up in my purchases, but will not download. On the flipside, I’ve re-downloaded Triton pack 6 times. (It is directly above 80s Ep option.) And I’ve deleted Triton and Wurly packs, still wouldn’t work. PLEASE HELP! NOTE: Since I’ve used all my hotspot data trying to make this work, I won’t be able to try again for another month.
How to Load Expansions on a 2nd Device
For the person who was unable to load a purchased expansion pack on a second device… In Module Pro (and many other apps), you can't always proceed as if you are buying the expansion on a 2nd device w/ your Apple ID. You may need to do a "restore" to force the 2nd device to check for purchases. In Module Pro, you go to the Store page. In the upper left corner, there is a "Your Items" button. That opens a pop-up window, with a "Restore" button in the top left. Tapping that should recognize the expansion packs you purchased on your 1st device (and add them to the list below). You may also need to do a "Download" step after this, either there or via a button at the bottom of the expansion's display in the Store (I don't recall).
New G128
What a disappointment. Correct me if I’m wrong. But does it not seem to be a rehash of what we already have? A lot of of these sounds are taken from previous sound modules, and they might of added a few new. All for the price of $9.99. Come on Korg you can do better than that. Continue to be a world leader in sound and do not blind side us with what we already have put in a new package.
In-app Recording functionality
This app continues to improve, but I’ve noticed that whenever I try to record something, and then save it to an exterior app (other) it crashes and then I lose the entire recording. It’s that simple.
SsT function is unfair to existing customers
new SST function of perfomance expansion,is not available for old buyers, for new buyers only.I do not think it’s fair to those already own this module. please update for existing customers.
General MIDI pack?
Korg, have you completely run out of ideas? Is there going to be a Gadget 3? Any new modules?
Would give it five stars, except …..
I purchased 4 expansion sound packs ,loaded them onto my iPad but when I went to install them on another device, you can’t do it unless you purchase them again.
Upgrade problems
This was a great app until I upgraded it to allow for sound layering. Now my set lists get randomly corrupted. In fact I lost all my songs from a set list 10 minutes before I was supposed to perform. If I can’t trust this to be working right when I’m going to play a gig then it is useless to me.
Why is it crashing after ten minutes?
I love this app when it is working. I use a usb midi controller through aum with all the normal attachments, but recently the app has been crashing about once every 10 minutes. When it crashes, aum crashes, and all my apps crash. Very annoying. Aum's load monitor doesn't show any strain, so I'm not sure what's going on.
App not loading when using AUv3.
This is a really good app, and l use it every time on GarageBand, but right now I'm experiencing an issue with Module Pro not being detected in AUv3. I'm currently using the app on my iPad Pro 12.9 5th generation on iOS 18. Every time I load my song in GarageBand and attempt to use AUv3, it would tell me that Module Pro isn't installed on my iPad, despite literally having the app on my device. I restarted my device, deleted the app, and reinstalled it, hoping that it would resolve the issue, but unfortunately the issue remains. I'm hoping there will be an update for iOS 18 soon.
It won’t reinstall Scarbee EP-88
BUG found. Solution to the reinstall problem... So every time I clicked on Download to restore my Scarbee EP-88 add on sound bank item it instead restored my Ivory Mobile pack that was listed on the line above it. So I thought what if I try to restore the Premier organs Download that sits below the Scarbee in my items list and behold, by clicking on Premier organs it installed Scarbee. Whoever programmed the Korg Store download tabs has the lines offset a line away from the correct name. I guess they never tested it. Yesterday I deleted my Korg Module Pro app ($19.99) with in app purchase Ivory Mobile ($9.99) sound expansion and in app Scarbee EP-88 ($9.99) sound expansion from my iPhone 6 (ios 12.5.4 with 24 MB free space), because I wanted to get rid of the Ivory Mobile sound expansion bank to make the package leaner. I reinstalled Korg Module Pro and both the Ivory Mobile and Scarbee EP-88 appear in my Korg Module Pro's user Store under “Your Items” to restore list, as they should since since I bought both of them for Module over two years ago. But, only Ivory Mobile will re-install. When I click on the Scarbee EP-88 reinstall tab it does an install and then says it has installed Ivory Mobile again.
KAPro expansion packs gone
This app is awesome. I paid for 6 KAPro expansion packs that recently disappeared. KAPro has the most realistic sounds worth every penny. Now they’re just gone I’m not happy. What’s the deal? Update: App Store and Korg helped me fix my problem. Works like a dream. Thank you!
I WANT A REFUND!
I WANT A REFUND
Where is midi Programme Change
I bought this app as the Manual states you can recall saved presets / programmes/ patches etc from a saved set list by sending midi pc from your controller. I can’t find it anywhere on the app. I can’t find any reference to it on a google search or YouTube. So Korg.. can it be done if so how? or just point me in the right direction at least. Incidentally the expansion pack which you sell separately includes midi learn for midi #cc .. no mention of midi pc.
A Top-Notch app
I highly recommend this app. The interface is simple and effective. The IAPs are very good and worth the price. I really liked the Far North and Halloween IAPs. This app is well-made and has a lot of polish. It’s one of my favorite synth apps now.
Downloaded grand piano fails
Wanted to try the American Grand Piano. Hit “try for 7 days”. 100% downloaded. I go to instrument lists. Piano is not there. Tried their ‘app support’ HA! I’d give them a 5 for the app, but 1 for their lack of help available. And yes, I already bought 9 modules so far. Update and a drop to 1 star: Tried to contact their support, but because my mail is ***@comcast.net, it will not let me talk to them! WAY TO BLOW korg
Great value and AUv3
Sounds great, and the AUv3 makes it much more useful. On 12.9 iPad Pro as an Auv3 in GarageBand it does not scale to fit available resolutions as some other instruments do. Would like to see them address this as it’s a fairly simple coding fix
Price
Very expensive for some of the sounds I can't believe they want that much for a few piano sounds
Needs midi export
A nice app from songwriting on the move but needs midi export to push your ideas into a DAW. There is audio export but that is far less useful. There is also midi import, but that seems like just a bit of fun. Without midi export this is really just an expensive toy to while away some time.
Loading problems
After latest update I am having loading issues in Cubasis 3. Update: Thank you developers for your quick fix on this issue.
Too difficult to sync sounds to Korg Gadget.
1 star reviews every update until you fix this. I have 5 devices, and don’t want to have to download Module, restore purchases for each item, then restore purchases in Gadget.
90+% there… 110% value for the $
First the problem so the developers don’t have to wade through this to find it: Played the Ivory grand IAP for a while (fantastic!) and then played a bunch of Korg organs (also fantastic). The use of the sustain pedal to speed/slow the Leslie is genius! However - when I went back to my Ivory piano, the sustain pedal didn’t work properly. It would IMMEDIATELY end notes I played first instead of reaching the limit first and then cutting off notes. Sounded absolutely horrible. I exited Module Pro and got back in - it worked again as expected no problem. But it shouldn’t be that way especially if you’re going to use this live and swap between pianos and organs. Relatively minor problem with an easy “manual” fix but would like to see that corrected in future updates. On to the rest: I have a Nord Grand which I use at home and wanted a VERY light package to take out to play with friends or while camping. I picked up an M-Audio 88 key controller (weighs just 13 pounds) and dusted off my old Kurzweil MircoPiano module from the 90s. At the time, it was the best sounding digital piano. Today - especially after using the Nord with its stupendous library of grands, the Kurzweil just sounds tired and cheesy. I spent several days googling solutions and came across the Korg Module Pro with the Ivory IAP (and also the Korg PlugKey which enables a MIDI in and 1/4” L/R out). WOW!!!!!! The Korg natural grand is pretty good, but the Ivory library is just incredible! Even though I’m playing on a less than stellar, non-weighted keyboard, at least the sounds I’m getting truly resemble a Steinway D in a recording studio. It all sits on my IPhone 13 using relatively little space and the response (with lowest latency setting) is outstanding. This is going to make all those traveling Hope Shows, jams, and camping trips 1000 times more fun! Scary good app, great native sounds, and STELLAR IAPs that take it to a whole new level. Really well done. Now let’s just fix that sustain pedal glitch and it’s 5+stars every day!! I’ve seen people complain about the $40 for the app and $30 for the Ivory IAP. Gang - for that $70 and $250 for the M-Audio controller ($320 all in) you can play a stunning piano library and much more for less than 1/10th the cost of a Nord Grand. I know - different beast entirely - but you can get 95% of the effect for like 9% of the cost! The app and IAPs are really cheap considering the value you get from them!!
Battery Drain
Need to be careful with this app. Leave it in in background with screen off and it kills the battery. Not sure why, maybe keeping mic running. But my iPad went from 100 to 0 overnight. Plus. I’m a bit of a newbie so I might be doing something wrong. But when I record in GarageBand it only records audio. Would love to Work out how to record midi messages at the same time.
Pretty good
This app is designed mainly for live use - witness the set list function. It therefore needs midi learn and the ability to play things like the iWAVESTATION from within it. Also using more than one sound in the same song within a set list has not been thought out especially when playing an mp3. Decent sounds but no drawbar control on the organs.
Great app
For me, this is one of best sounding pianos on the iPad, especially when tweaking the effects a bit on the Ivory piano.
Rip off
With the addition of the performance module being crazy expensive for just some much requested features this app is officially a total rip off. On sale is even really bad. just so you can have midi cc learn. Shoot yourself in the foot korg. Highly disappointed in this move. Pirates no bueno.
About multiple midi Chanel.
Why does not this one have multiple midi Chanel as korg M1 has. That function really usefull for digital accordion
Beware
I bought this app as reviews on YouTube said you. could split the keyboard. It’s another £26.99 to do this - you have to download another package.
Polyphony problem
Now this app sounds wonderfull, and is very easy to use. As a pianoplayer I love the piano sounds, and it is one of the better soundlibraries out there. My one problem, and this is a big problem, is the polyphony. With a brand new ipad 2017, I can get the maximum 112 voices. That is fine on synths and lots of other stuff, but with a piano sound of this quality, there is 4 voices per note. This brings it down to a a number of 28 notes playable at the same time. I know this sounds a lot, as we only have 10 fingers, but whem doing a long run with the sustainpedal on, this becomes noticable very quickly. Even a cheap digital piano can usually play up to 112 notes easily. For me it makes this unsuitable for a live situation. I hope Korg will fix this problem soon, but I am not hopefull as they have not updated this app for over a year. Feels a bit like they have abanded the app, and left it unfinnished.
