Too Simple
It’s very simple. It Tells me what I need to know, but it’s still lacks in bells and whistles. An example it doesn’t tell me what channel my router is using. It do some behind the scenes Wi-Fi optimization. But I would like to know more about what it is actually doing behind the scenes.
Awful
I’ve had this Tenda Mesh WiFi router for a few years now. And when it works, it’s great. But don’t touch it, or even look at it sideways or it will stop working and cost you days of your life getting it up and running again. The last time it just needed a firmware update. It never prompted this, it wait to need it until we had a power outage. So we spent half a day resetting the unit and troubleshooting shooting and finally figured it out. This time I literally unplugged it for about 5 minutes while moving the modem to a different spot. Didn’t even move the router at all. And now we haven’t had internet for going on 12 hours. Spend 30 minutes on the phone with Comcast, last night and another 30 mins today. Sounds like it’s a router issue… big surprise. So I try to call Tenda, and they don’t open until 1:30pm my time. So I have to wait 5 hours until I can talk to them… I don’t recommend this brand whatsoever. If I had the money, I would buy something entirely. But if you are a smart consumer and checking out the app reviews before a purchase. Just don’t. This app is trash, it isn’t helpful for troubleshooting at all.

It’s good designed app, but doesn’t provide VPN settings in app. Please, release in app VPN configuration.

How much effort is REALLY put in to this app to make it work??
The tech is pretty good. The interface is poor and when it goes wrong it is a real faff to get it sorted, often involving re-installation where it should not have been required. For a pretty expensive purchase, I think we are entitled to something much better.
Enhancements required
Although its good application but a lot of things should be added. Specially Darkmode & Guest network band steering.

this app and wifi router is really great has been serving well for my pc for about a year and have had no problems the only thing that is confusing is the setup you guys are doing the setup wrong and also have to go to the website aswell as the app do multiple security checks and remember the password and yeah its very easy!
No Remote Reboot
Bought this (Tenda WiFi Extender) for my Florida home to better my WiFi there so I can monitor many devices from my home in Ohio. I guess the App updated and now I cannot reconnect this device from Ohio. Need to be able to turn off auto update for this reason, or be able to reconnect device remotely once it’s set up.

Never had issues
Been using tenda app for several years, never had issues with it and use parental controls to set limits / downtimes. Only fault I would say is, it needs a daylight saving function. so I don't need keep changing the times each daylight saving adjustment. Apart from that all is 👍

Best router ive ever used
This router is awesome! Speed is amazing, signal range enough for 3-room apartment with thick walls. My sisters playing Roblox a lot, but i fixed that situation with “black list”🤣. Now they studying more than playing, perfect!
Poor meshing. The APP is not good.
The APP is not user’s friendly, it’s none easy to make changes to the network. On the other hand, it is not allow to increase internet speed more than 100 MG.

App & Mesh Sys Works Great
I had a dead zone in my house and now get the same speed as the controller 320mbs. With the app you can run 2.4ghz along side 5ghz or completely divide them or just run one or the other because things like Wi-Fi cameras and sensors only run on 2.4. So, with the mesh system you punch hard with 5ghz by adding nodes. For me with 2’ thick walls in Europe I only needed 2 nodes for the whole house. If one node isn’t positioned well the app will show a green, yellow or red connection meaning you may have to play with a node location. Works just fine…
Not User Friendly
They drop WiFi after about 20 minutes of start up. Can’t reach customer service.

Worked well for a while.
Fine for a few months then the nodes stopped linking. Tried everything but they’re still wouldn’t connect together. The main node continues to work well as a standalone router. Can’t recommend but if you insist on buying, keep the packaging so it can be returned months later.
My extensive A23 does not appear in the application.
I just performed the update to be able to see my A23 extender from the application and still nothing that can be carried out a review of the connected computers or simply restart it. Now he doesn't even recognize me as a team! Only my router appears.

Excellent except when it disconnects
I have only good things to say about this mesh system. The only qualm I have is that for no reason whatsoever suddenly one of the nodes shows as disconnected in the App, despite showing a green light. The mesh continues to work but the streaming is affected because of trying to continue streaming by connecting to a more distant node. I unplug the culprit and it works again, but it is definitely annoying.
WPA not secure
My devices warned me that the connection was not secure as it is WPA. It should be WPA3, there is no feature to change to WPA3 in configuration settings. Multiple connection issues where my device says it’s connected but the network won’t respond.

For the money, this is the best router you can buy
I own ASUS AC 1900 router There’s no comparison software was way easier to get up and running. I gained about 110 megabytes. it has a three year factory warranty. None of the others I know has this warranty this long. for the money, I don’t think you can buy a better router right now with all the options it has.

Confirmation code never arrived and app has very poor device management.
What happened?
App used to be great.. would show my mesh network and all connections. Now nothing, it’s like the app and all the boxes never met. Scanning doesn’t find them. Update: made new account, bound to Apple ID. Now works.

I liked this app until they started requiring you to login to your online account. Now I can’t get into manage my devices because it won’t send me a password reset for an account I never had to use in the past.

Since the recent app update I have lost access to my access points. I can see them and they say they are online but when I try to connect to them the app says they are not connected to the router. The App needs fixing
