The only thing I will complain is not being able to upload many photos at a time. It’s very time consuming when you have to add 3-9 photos at a time. I wish you could upload more. Can they please fix this. Is would help so much!
Can’t Upload any Photos
I’ve used this app for 3 yrs. Used to love it. Last year the photos would take forever to upload sometimes. Now I haven’t been able to upload a single photo for one month. I have no choice but to switch to a different app. There seems to be no support for this app. I know 2 other teachers with same problems.
Like but improvements
I wish you could view photos differently. If I post an announcement, then post photos, my announcements get lost. Or if you could have a tab for just word announcements.
Finally
Finally a completely easy to use photo sharing app that lets you write about the pictures too. I’ve tried a bunch, this is the best and easiest. My families love it!

I love Homeroom, but I do wish there were a few more options… I wish we had the option to select several photos at once and delete them from the gallery. I also wish there was a way to move photos around.
Save photo option doesn’t work
I’ve tried saving some of the photos that have been shared by my child’s teachers. But it just gets hung up and never saves the photo and then you have to close out of the app entirely to use it at all. Would be much better if the save function actually worked.
Great app, but need help and support unreachable.
Easy to use and clean layout. Submitted several support requests for an issue impacting entire class and cannot get a response. I’d love to have a way to reach out for help!

I am loving this as a way to share a glimpse of our school day to my kindergarten parents! So simple and easy to use and keeps everything in one location. I only wish I could reorder the photos after uploading and have them stay exactly in the order that I want. Other than that, this app is great 👍🏽🙂
K Teacher
I’ve been using this app for my classroom this year. I’m frustrated with it now in times of “distance learning”, as many times I get a post all written and ready to go, it uploads, shows it is posting and then DISAPPEARS. Very frustrating and time consuming for this reason. I am choosing not to change platforms and confuse parents, but this is getting ridiculous. I’ve searched for where I can get tech help, but there seems to be none. I won’t be using it next year.

Frustrating app never works
My preschool uses this app and i am writing as a teacher. I’m not able to upload pictures and in the event that I am, it takes forever. As a busy teacher this app is frustrating and disappointing. I have tried one picture at a time and it still doesn’t work. Any input is appreciated

crash and freezes and shut down
i’ve used this app for 4 years and it was great until this recent year it keeps on crashing. when i upload photos nothing happens. it closes my app. i delete the app and download it again for it to close my app again.... please fix this issue! thank you.

I think the site is down I haven’t been able to access this app for two days and this is how I reach out to my students and parents. PLEASE FIX IT SOON!! I wish I could at least speak to someone or something.

Great photo sharing for classrooms
I have used this app for the past 4 years to share photos with parents/families of my preschool students. It is a similar format to facebook, photos you upload are posted for participants to view, like and comment on. Users can also save photos you post to their device and you can have more than one group at a time. It’s easy to start a new group for a new school year, or delete an old one. You can turn off some of the features depending on the privacy level you want. I suggest teachers check their settings before inviting parents so that only you can edit settings or add people. Only people you invite to join the group can view the pictures and announcements you post and you can easily remove people if needed. You can have more than one admin if you have coteachers or assistants. My only complaint is that it can be very slow to upload pictures sometimes. It is faster to upload 1-2 photos at a time, otherwise photos get stuck in a seemingly endless uploading phase and don’t post until hours or days later.
Promising but...
Easy to use and potentially a great idea, but photos/videos can be saved and shared outside the app, making the invite only security effectively useless. Emailed support about it and received a dismissive email in return, along the lines of "if it's not suitable for sharing, don't share it". When posting images of schoolchildren to share with parents, compromised security is not ok!
Have to restart to save more than one photo
This used to work fine. Now I have to force kill the app after saving a photo in order to save another photo.
Amazing!
I needed a free way to share all of our amazing class pictures with all of our awesome parents. This app. was extremely easy to use. I was able to load all of the photos and it allowed me to write under each one, so I could say who was in the picture or what the activity was. I will continue using this every year and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs to share pictures with multiple people.
Sadly this App is outdated for Android!
It works amazing for iphone, but not all of our parents use an iphone! We will have to search for another platform.

Remote teaching has been a better experience because of this site! Students post their assignments, art inspirations, incidental learning, outdoor fun, and resources for one another .... it’s kind of like a version of Facebook for children where they can share n inspire one another as well as get feedback from their teacher and each other . Thank you!!
Use a toast! Not a full screen takeover!
I HATE that every time I save a photo, I get taken out of the experience because a full screen modal covers the screen in black with a checkmark to tell me that I saved the photo successfully. Omg. Just use a toast! A tiny snack bar!
Small changes to have the perfect app
Make it possible to edit a comment after it’s posted, and add a private messaging feature. As a teacher of use this app for the past year and I love it. But these things would make a perfect!
Need an update!
It crashes right after I open it! Need to restart my phone and it'll work for a bit and crashes again! Please fix it! Otherwise great app!

Such a wonderful way to help ease new mothers into being away from their children- being able to see them throughout day is a great relief. Easy app very basic and easy to move around !

Homeroom App is just what we needed!
Our whole school uses Homeroom from Preschool to 8th grade — it has a UI that is friendly for all levels of school and is simple to use. It would be so lovely to have search and the ability to set up tags or hashtags for classifying certain posts because we use Homeroom as a replacement for weekly newsletters. Also, I’d allow users to upload videos on desktop and also put in a friendly tutorial on image sizes for album covers because it’s really finicky plus add in character limits with a countdown. I actually had to add in Latin to test how many characters or words you can add before you max it out. I’d also add in the ability set in reminders or a push notification to say, “do you have something to share today?” Or something to remind the teacher to post. Please keep evolving this app!

Wow, wow, wow! Easy, breezy, chicken sneezy! Our class is overjoyed with the Homeroom App. My “Firsties,” adore their posted pics and their parents...well, enamored to say the least! Feedback 100% positive from all parties. “WOW!” your families in this new school year...2020 is 20/20! Seeing is believing and...a picture is worth a thousand words!
Proceed with caution
We had successfully used Homeroom as a private network for our school’s families — and it worked quite well — until about last year sometime. Some issues we’ve continually experienced 1. Image uploading: you add image and then there are no images to select 2. After getting image to load, you write a long detailed message & none of it posts 3. You are limited to 50 subscribers Hope this helps.
Love as parent/teacher
I’ve use the app with ease for a few years now as both a parent and a teacher, and have loved it. It’s clean, clear and simple sharing of notes and videos. It’s easily navigated by you and parents. You can belong to several “classes” at a time and they stay organized clearly in their own class. I just wish: 1.parents didn’t have to have an email to sign up 2. I could message individuals if I like (not just post whole group) 3. Parents could opt in to get txt notifications for “note” reminders. I do love this app but those are the only things I wish could be fixed. I love this app!

This my first time. My great grandson is living with me. Everything is hi tech. I don’t know how to do the book for the year. I hope to learn soon. Can you use Picts from the summer or other outside doings?
Unable to verify email
I have not been able to verify my email. The app says it sends the email but I haven’t received it. I’ve tried multiple email addresses multiple times. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling. The teacher has tried sending the invite multiple times. I emailed for help and was told they’re aware of the issue however it has not been fixed, so I have no access to the classroom for my kiddo.
