Very disappointed
I purchased two annual plans for specifically for my elderly grandparents. Kooli advertises the service as easy to use, but my grandparents found it difficult to operate. In our experience, it is simply not suitable for elderly users who are not comfortable with technology. The content was also disappointing. Many of the TV shows, dramas, and movies are quite old, and there are very few live channels. We also experienced frequent buffering, loading issues, and interruptions while watching. When I contacted customer service about these issues, I was advised to purchase an additional cable and connect the Kooli box directly to my internet router in an attempt to improve the connection. After only about 15 days, I decided to cancel the service even though I still had almost a full year remaining on my subscription. I simply did not feel the service was worth continuing. When I contacted customer service about a refund, I was told that since my grandparents were having difficulty using the service, I could keep using it for another month for free and use that time to help them get familiar with it. I was also told that if they found the other features difficult, they could simply watch the live channels because those are easier to use. I found this response disappointing. The issue is not that we simply need more time to learn how to use the service. The service was advertised as easy to use, but it did not work well for my elderly grandparents in practice. I was also told over the phone that I would have to pay an additional $89.99 device fee if I received a refund. When I asked where this fee was stated in the terms or refund policy, I was told that it was not included because my purchase was made during a promotional period. After this, I was told that I would receive an update regarding my refund request. However, despite following up multiple times, I have not received any response at all. I have tried contacting them both by email and phone, but there has been no reply or update on the status of my refund. Overall, I am disappointed with the outdated content, limited live channels, buffering and connection issues, the lack of clarity around fees, and especially the poor communication and lack of follow-up regarding my refund request.
Update: Almost 3 minute long commercials???
Gave it a one star review, but it seems like they corrected the issue. It seems to be working fine on my device now. ***** For one single commercial. Not multiple. It wouldn’t even let me skip after 15 seconds. Then, after enduring that ordeal, the screen freezes and wouldn’t play anymore. I enjoy watching K variety shows on this app, but the latest experience has been disappointing

Thank you for the update. Finally, Apple TV remote works fine! update: it is not working well whenever I pause it. I can never play it again.

I buy this service for my 80yo mom who loves Korean TV and this is perfect! If you can read and understand Korean, then this channel has everything you are looking for. If you have problems use google translate. I can’t understand the low ratings! People who wrote it are whacked and can’t find their way out of a paper bag. Do yourself a favor and get this app, you get all the Korean news from different news sources and can watch all the shows actual South Koreans loves to watch. Heck, I watch it with her too! And my kids don’t even speak Korean. Keep up the great work ODK, we really love and appreciate you guys!

In 2026, the utter lack of functionality is blasphemous. There’s are 2 useless filters to search: “Network” and “Sort by.” ALSO, you’ll see ads all over the app, even with a premium membership.

오랫동안 온데만데를 사용 해 온 외국 거주자로서, 같은 값을 치루면서 많은 프로그램들이 우리 지역에서 상영이 가능 하지 않다는 것이 타당치 않습니다. 그리고 외국에 거주 하는 저와 같은 사람들을 위해 만든 엡인데도 상영 가능한 것들이 재한 되 있다는 것이 맞지 않고 또 정당 하지 않습니다.
No English Subs
For all the shows I clicked on there weren’t any English subtitles. These weren’t even new shows. They have subs on other platforms. If you don’t have English subtitles you should probably write the app name and description in Korean to make it clear who this app is for.
How to track episodes watched?
Lots of content here plus live television. The con is that you cannot tag episodes as watched which gets cumbersome. Is there a fix?

Pure Garbage
This app is pure trash. Whether I’m watching a drama or a variety show, the "random" autoplay always ends up pushing those cringey dating shows I can’t stand. It feels like they’re getting paid under the table to shove that specific program down our throats because customer service completely ignores every complaint. Unless you're holding the remote to stop it the second an episode ends, you're stuck in an infinite loop of dating junk. The selection is tiny, the price is a total rip-off, and I’m finally deleting this garbage.
Great premium service but limited selection of drama and shows.
Hello, I am a premium member and love the selection of shows but some popular drama and certain shows are not on the list. Like 낭만닥터3, 진짜 사나이, etc. I hope more popular shows are posted. Otherwise I am very happy with the ODK.
Doesn’t keep up
Doesn’t keep up with software changes in OS, device, and devices cast to. When there is a change, it takes 2 days to 2 weeks to get the glitches out. You have to call them, and they’re obviously overwhelmed because they come across as having heard so many complaints that they really dont care. They always blame the user.
Why no Eng sub title for Family Maters

I have been trying to watch one specific kdrama and sure it was here, but Nooooo everything was in Korean KOREAN KOREAN KOOOOREAAANNNN, and tell me why the kdrama I wanted to watch is premium. So u want me to pay moneyyyy ok, so my parents pay on there phone instead so I can watch there After she pays im getting ready to watch on her phone, BUT GUESSSSSS WHAT IT DIDNT GIVE US THE KDRAMA I want my MONEY BACK

OnDemandKorea has been my trusted companion for Korean dramas for quite some time The content selection is unbeatable, and the subtitles are spot-on However, the app could use a more streamlined intro and recap skipping feature for those of us who enjoy binge-watching Additionally, it sometimes takes a while for new content to appear, which can be frustrating for those eagerly awaiting the latest releases Overall, OnDemandKorea is a fantastic app, but a few tweaks could make it even better

My phone stopped working once and had to reset the whole thing and we got to on demand which we had the family plan then a week later it changed us to basic membership so now nothing works

Not enough sub-titled content
Wished there were more movies and shows with subtitles. The ones that are sub titled aren’t very engaging so I’m not as interested in viewing the programming.

Where are the subtitles?
I looked through quite a few dramas and I found that none of them have subtitles. When I went to search up if this app even had subtitles thinking it was a glitch on my part, I found that they had a tutorial on how to get subtitles but clearly that tutorial was a lie since I reset my phone I refreshed the app multiple times but none of the dramas I would’ve liked to watch have subtitles.

Your app is slowest on the streaming market and they crash often. Your collection is also very poor. I am ready to cancel my subscription.

Please fix the portrait rotation. If you X out of a drama it doesn’t go back to the original view. It stays rotated and cant see because of the larger screen
