For fans of sim city
I was looking for something similar to an old clunky version of Sim City just relive the old days. This has been a great solution. I wish the green bucks were a touch more plentiful in game play. Also watching the video ads to get the fast forward functionality never seems to work. The ad never properly has an X to get out of it. I’m not sure when I’ve watched what I needed to watch to get fast forward. It just doesn’t seem to work. It would be nice to be able to rotate the city. And some things like disasters or seasons would be fun. I love the game. The sound track is great. Thanks for building this.
It’s great.. in the beginning
Very well designed game that isn’t filled with ads and begging for microtransactions like a lot of others.. which is nice However, the game lacks any real strategy, depth, or customization that would make it worth investing more time into The buildings randomly generate and don’t face the logical way, each city is “different” but requires the same exact approach which gets old by the 4th run through

This game is fun at first but it becomes boring after.

Honestly love the art style the music the feel everything about this game is just fun and relaxing. It isn’t boring like so many other games.
Ads kill the fun
The game itself is a nice low stress way to pass the time. The reason for the 1 star review is the ad experience, which is as miserable as any free to play game out there. The ads are frequently 2 minutes long and require several tricky button presses to advance or close. We understand the deal with these types of games, but please have more quality control with your ad partners. Will be deleting the game soon.

Great start but
I can’t get past level 8. My population 1.10 mil. Says needs 1.11 with no way to add more houses or cars. Everything been bought. Vehicles. Boats. Airplanes. No slots left for any building Sad. ************************ Update. Got past level 8 after prestige. But I get keys but what for ? And I finally got to a cool moon level but takes FOREVER to earn enough to build. Basically built so you have to spend real money. Guess time to prestige again and get more keys for who knows what. lol
Fine, extremely slow
it’s a good game but once u get to the 6th city, you start progressing unbearably slow. i’ve prestiged 4 times now and it still takes me at least 2 weeks to get thru city 6.

Overheats Even on Mac!
I enjoyed Bit City at first, but after 20+ days I noticed my iPhone overheating. I thought it was just the weather — until I tested it on my Mac and saw the game using over 180% CPU. This is unacceptable for a simple idle game. It’s not optimized and can damage devices. Uninstalled.

Not a City Builder, more like a glorified Cookier Clicker
I went into this game hoping to be able to build my own city with Bitizens running around going about their days and that I would be able to place buildings, roads, etc. where and how I wanted to meet my Bitizens needs. Instead, I was met with an arcade style game where I just keep tearing down old buildings to put up random new ones in the same set spots until I’ve completed the city (level) and move on to the next. You can make the buildings “historic” to keep it the same building as the previous level, but what is the point of that? Why can I not choose what buildings I build when I buy the zone? Why do I have to leave it to some random chance to get buildings I want. The game is just clicking build at the bottom and waiting for it to build in the same place you have things, clicking coins over cars you buy for no one, and just watching your money go up. THIS GAME IS A GLORIFED COOKIE CLICKER, NOT A CITY BUILDER. The whole charm of Tiny Tower was having each individual Bitizen with their own jobs and stuff. I think reworking this game into a true city builder would be a great idea, even if it’s just a new game. Make it so we can actually build a city, have Bitizens that live in each house with wants and needs, bitizen politics, natural disasters. There’s so much potential, but the game we have now is just so bland and played out.

Amazing game
Absolutely love this game, would greatly enjoy further content releases for it. I’d love to see more cities (maybe across the world) and the ability to color and rotate buildings. Animal friends would be a fantastic edition as well!
Don’t waste your time
The game takes literally forever to progress. I have not played a game as torturously slow as this game. On top of that you cannot select what to upgrade or when not can you choose the rotation of your buildings. This leads to houses with driveways that do not lead anywhere. All around stupid game and I would recommend looking elsewhere if you’d like to scratch that city building itch.

I love bit city! It’s so pretty and fun. It’s a good time killer but it’s still a good game, not like some mobile games... I’ve been looking for a house or city game like this for so long! But city has almost no ads (unless you want rewards!) and no annoying pop ups. I literally don’t have any complaints! (I rated 4 stars instead of five because I haven’t finished the game yet, so in my opinion I can’t yet rate it 5 stars)
Pretty bleak
It’s not really a strategy game but it’s more just clicking the upgrade button and waiting for it to be ready. Very boring in my opinion.

I really like this game a lot, but I feel like they haven’t added anything new in a long time. Add more buildings and landmarks please! Big Ben, the London Eye…new things would make this game feel a lot more fun!

Free Build Mode needed
Fun but could be more fun if it was more like Tiny Tower, but with a city… where your keep your city and not just upgrades. Pretty sure this woule make peoppe buy more in game purchases if you dont lose nothing too.
Was fun but now needs an update
This has become an old game and very much outdated by game standers of today. Game needs an update badly. Support for updating appears very limited. I think it can be a great game again if designers would put time in to it.
Bit City
Bit City is really cool. It’s all about collecting money. But you have to be very patient for the “people” to pay their taxes. You should not spend YOUR money on raising taxes, like I used to do (and still do). Like I said, it’s really cool. Try Bit City now! :)

Great game, but kind of ridged
It’s a really great game if you want to build a city on a pastime. The ads are pretty much optional so they’re not all in your face. My only problem really is that you can’t customize your city the way you really want. Sure you can choose the type of building and lock in the ones you want, but waiting for specific buildings to be randomly built on the chosen lot can take forever (sometimes not even happening). Also you can’t rotate buildings nor the city itself. Done buildings look awkward the way they’re oriented (ex. Parking lot facing inward instead of towards the street).

Any game that had an active leaderboard is always badass. This game has that and I love it. Needs more players but can still compete and have a long way to go to catch #1

Can’t open game
After downloading the update the game starts but can’t get into it, stays on the front and will not let you collect your double coins or play the game, was working before the update fine, please fix as on the last level.

There’s only so many times you can prestige back to level one before it just gets tiring. I do pick the game up every now and then, and have opened the piggy bank a couple of times, I’m just bored of the scenery and lack of goal. Slap some red pixels in there and call it Mars!

When you prestige in the game, it really doesn’t make it feel like you’re making more money because the price for everything goes up as well.

Things I would Pay a Reasonable Price For
I love this game, I haven’t spent money on it yet (though I have spent a lot of time watching ads). This game is wonderful, but with a little work, it could be a lot more, and a money train for the creators to boot. If they could add new unlockable customizable cities with new unlockable powers, or new city or building themes (like a candy/ice cream/dessert theme, or buildings that look like they belong in space, or a an apocalyptic theme, or seasonal themes) with customized buildings that fit with the theme. I would drop $5.99 or so for this, and/or grind in-game currency (or finally cash in that piggy bank) plus it would employ creative and passionate animators and be a viable revenue stream for the creators/owners of this gaming company. I spent WAY too much on customization of my CityVille stuff back in the day, or in Smite, or in various other games. If you want to make these themes more tempting to consumers, make some of them seasonal events or limited time. Make some of the ads shorter (some are obnoxiously long, most are okay) and continue to vet your ads so minors who play the game don’t get ads for adult themed games or people don’t have to watch those gross pimple popping game ads (gag). This game is great, I’ve been playing it for a long time, it’s like a simple minimalistic version of SimCity minus the super shady practices of EA (lol). I love this game and would love to see the devs keep going with it, it’s a simple, addictive idea that’s absolutely brilliant.
Glitch
There’s a glitch where the branch profits on the bank goes lower and it sucks especially if you’re trying to reach a certain amount.
rotate buildings
Considering how much i play this i still give it a 3 star mostly because it is an idle game and idle games are sometimes repetitive. But making the game enjoyable would be to be able to rotate buildings because i actually enjoy trying to place buildings strategically and making a city that makes sense. please add this feature!
Needs a building rotation system.
I really love the game, I have been addicted to it since I downloaded it. However, there needs to be a button than allows me to change the way a building a facing because sometimes the way a building is facing ruins the whole looks of my city and it really pisses me off. I would love for a system like this to be added quickly if possible or I might blow a fuse if another building I need faces the wrong direction after an hour of constantly building.

this game is good, but there’s issues. for example the “bank saves 10% interest” actually only saves 1%, and the number listed is 1% also. also, if two cars with bonus coins or bux are close enough to each other and you collect one then the it removes both but only gives you the rewards from one. buildings also get disproportionately more expensive as you progress, making it exponentially more and more costly to buy the next building. other than, it’s okay
