Medela freestyle
I love using the app with my Medela freestyle pump. Helps me track feedings ,diapers ,and it times the time I pump I love it you can also Track Breastfeeding
Glitchy and unreliable
This is one of the worst and most poorly designed apps I’ve ever used. It constantly freezes, the timer randomly stops running and returns to zero, and it’s not intuitive at all. The first time I opened the app, it loaded a bunch of pump sessions that aren’t mine and seemingly can’t be removed no matter how many times I delete them. I’m shocked by all of the positive reviews here, especially since the other parents I know who used this app shared the same complaints.

Update: I’m using an iPhone 17 and the Medela Swing Maxi. I love that this app connects to my pump, especially because my pump doesn’t show how long a session lasts. However, this is the glitchiest app I’ve ever used. After a pumping session and after closing the app, it will still show an active session/timer on my phone. Even when pump is turned off. I don’t know why or how it’s running in the background like that, especially because that feature doesn’t work when I am actually pumping. I think the app is trying to do too much. Simplify the content and fix the basic features and it would be great.
Good but a bit glitchy
I love the features of this app and find it very helpful. I use the app to track breastfeeding and feeds. However, it starts a new pumping timer on its own every time I open the app. I haven’t used my pump for weeks and it still opens a new timer every time I open or use the app. It also sometimes freezes and deletes my breastfeeding timers before I’m able to save them. I have an iPhone 16 and the Medela freestyle pump.
Great for tracking
My pump is synced to the app. When done correctly I do t have to worry about it running for too long because it automatically turns off at 29:59. I can track the baby’s sleep, diapers, and feedings on here. Super helpful to have this app.

Great, a little busy
Love that you can add a lot of details optionally under each type of log. I wish the home page was less busy though and more geared towards the logging vs articles, etc.
App needs fixing
The app needs fixing, the pump doesn’t register sometimes, adds wrong time. The latest app update I can’t even log into the app. Probably not going to use this app anymore. Super frustrating.

I’m a little upset again
The website was down so I couldn’t log in to app to see any data I recorded today. When was my last feeding or diaper change? Who knows. Should I have to record it in more than one place ???

Most user friendly pumping tracker ever!
Love the app. So many cool features. Useful ones too. Especially love the pumping and breastfeeding tracker… super simple and easy to log amounts and see stats at a glance. Also love the built in time feature that works with live activities and Dynamic Island. The only thing I haven’t loved about it is that it tends to sometimes take a long time to load… or crashes… and after using it consistently for several days, it locked me out. I uninstalled and reinstalled, tried creating a new account, tried signing in with Apple, etc, and it would say it was loading them would default back to the login/start screen without fail. Finally uninstalled and started using a different tracking system. Just now reinstalled after a week or two and it’s working fine so far.
2nd time using with 3rd baby
First time breastfeeding my 2nd baby and this app helped me keep track my baby girls feedings. It’s was wonderful. This time around I’m glad it kept a record of my little girl and I love using it on my new born to help me keep track of his progress.
Hate update
The app crashes and will not let me login. It’s done it at least three times in the past three months. I’ve been using the app for years since 2018 with three children. I used to love it, but not anymore.
Good free app
I like using the app for tracking. It is simple and ads free. The dashboard is well made. It is easy to use and find the right information. two areas of improvement: 1-generic note tracking would be great. 2-need to work offline when no network is available. I was in a basement with no cellular and couldn’t track my BF session which was frustrating.
Needs improvement
App constantly logs you out and won’t allow you to log back in, so you can’t see your last pumping session or log future sessions. Very buggy
Something went wrong not able to login
Have been using it for a months after a month is notable to login it aways shows something went wrong, tried a lot of time , it still the same something went wrong ,. Don’t event know what’s happening

Glitches ruin the app
App is constantly failing. It has glitches were the timer keeps going even when I completely shut down the app. The only thing that helps is deleting the app. I have to delete it and re download it constantly and even then log in sometimes won’t work and I can’t even get it. When it does work it works fine but the glitches make it awful. Bringing the rating down to a 1 because I can’t log in. And without logging in I can’t use the app.
LOVE The app but it has issues
I use the app frequently. But just these past two days it’s had issues. It crashes on me. And not like it kicks me out of the application but it freezes the app. Making it so you have to close out the app and reload.
Disappointed
Started out ok but I’ve had to re download the app many times in a short one month period. Once I redownload it didn’t keep track of my previous pumps. Now it won’t let me onto the app. Not sure what’s going on but it’s been a pain lately.
Love the time hate the glitches
It has bugs and glitches everytime I use it. Idk but I love that it times my session. It’s hard to close out and stays open in my background without it being open I see it in my too I have an iPhone
I like it
Works well. I’ve used it for all 3 of my children starting in 2020. It has had many improvements over the years. My only complaint is it crashes/freezes sometimes or is slow to load the data when opening.
Unreliable
This was working fine and helped me track my pumping volumes and times; the app was one of the reasons I chose Medela. However after weeks of no issues, suddenly I was no longer able to access ANY of the data I input and used to stay organized; EVERYTHING was gone…and no matter what I would try…the app would try to get me to login somewhere and then say there’s an error and to try again endlessly. So effectively I am no longer able to the app or access prior data. Garbage!

Needs improvement
Overall the app is not bad. But it needs so many things fixed. I noticed it doesn’t register my pump sessions sometimes, I sometimes can’t add the amount I pumped. I honestly don’t even use this app anymore, it’s made me so frustrated so many times. It has lost connection to my pump so I keep having to log in. Not something you want to deal with every night when you’re sleep deprived. I have been struggling keeping my supply up and this app is not helping whatsoever. Very negative review sorry, the pump is great but it’s pretty frustrating to use the app
Buggy
Very unreliable and buggy, often doesn’t register my last pumping session and will show up days later if it does at all. Often registers as current pump being invalid time and date.
Fantastic
Absolutely love that this app is free!! Keeps me on track with feedings and diaper changes. It’s so many features of relevant data to keep up with my new baby! Especially love the ease of use and Home Screen widget! Def recommend!!
Ridiculous
I use this app every single time I pump to track how long I pump. But it no longer functions. The app crashes. And now it won’t even let me sign in. Absolutely ridiculous.
bug
I like this app- I use it only to keep track of my milk frozen in the freezer. It works really well and it’s easy to use however, there is a bug that needs to be fixed. The total amount of ounces stored is not accurate unless you scroll all the way down and as you scroll down and it loads more, it will update the total milk store. The more milk I store, the more annoying It is have to scroll all the way down - please fix this bug.
Functional but bugs
2 stars only because I love my maxi swing pump. The app tries to log pumps when they’re not happening and that leaves a timer on my phone that I can’t get rid of. It also has logged pumps from 1975 that if I delete just come back. Fix the bugs!!
It’s good but it keeps crushing
I love the app literally no complaints but lately it’s been crashing a lot and I can’t use it I’ve had to use other apps to log stuff.

Bug fix update broke my app
Whatever update hit today on 10/23 broke my app. (iPhone iOS 26.0.1). I’ve reinstalled and it just crashes when it launches.
Great and wishing for one more feature
Overall a helpful tool and appreciate that it’s free. I find it odd that if I want to backlog a nursing session, I have to enter the minutes per side AND adjust the clock start time. I wish that if I adjusted one, the other would self-adjust accordingly. For example if it’s 1:25 and I enter 10 min breastfeeding or pumping, the start time could automatically adjust to 1:15. Right now, I have to manually do both. Otherwise an easy to use tool to track bottles, pumping, nursing, diapers, and growth!
Sleep function causing app crash
We really liked this app and have been using it for the last four months. However for some reason entering the sleep function has been causing the app to crash and we have to redownload the app to use it at all but have to avoid logging sleep. Hopefully the bug can be fixed soon!
Needs some changes.
Mostly the app is okay, but there are a few things that need work or at least tweaking. It’s frustrating to me that if I open the app while I’m pumping (Freestyle) to look at, for example, baby’s recent bottles to see her total intake, after I close the app, and sometimes long after I’ve finished pumping, the timer shows up at the top of my phone still/in the dropdown as though I’ve still been pumping. Sometimes it takes several attempts to clear it. Another thing is, it would be nice to have a power pumping option for logging in the app. The Freestyle shuts off after less than 5 minutes, but I often power pump on a 20 on, 5 off, 10 on, 5 off, 10 on schedule. It would be nice to be able to combine those three entries, instead of having 2 10 minute sessions logged every morning with 0 oz. where I have to make a note every time. Next, I am seeing an increase in supply and recently needed to empty a ton of bottles in the fridge into storage bags, some of which will likely have to go on the freezer soon, and the oldest ones I can’t go back and edit to add to the virtual storage that I wanted to start making use of. I was emptying bottles in backwards order, so now bags 1-5, I can’t label and the labeling starts with 6. I can’t even dictate my own system/starting point! Things change, I should be able to edit! And nothing is going on a “tray,” it’s all currently in the side compartment of the fridge. I wanted to leave that blank or put a 0 and I can’t. Finally, it would be nice if there were a way to view stats not just filtered by category like bottle or pumping session, but to also be able to filter it further by day. It would make it a lot simpler so I can see how much my baby is feeding per day and how much I’m pumping per day, so I can give my lactation consultant better info. at check-ins, instead of having to grab a calculator or do mental math. Over time I’d like to actually be able to track trends and see my progress, since I started taking Moringa to help, etc. I’m getting this close to starting an Excel sheet but that’s just more work that I don’t have time for with an almost 3-month-old and having just returned to work from maternity leave. This app needs more options to organize the data collected over time according to the mom’s needs.
Medela Freestyle Pump App
Having a baby who can remember the last time they pumped? I found the app very simple and practical. It shows me the times I have pumped and helps me keep on track. I exclusively pump as my son had milk transfer issues and can tell you that the Medela freestyle pump has kept me sane! Excellent pump!

Since the last update pushed out, the app no longer works and crashes within 10 seconds of being opened.
Love the tracking
I’ve used my Medela pump for both of my babies and absolutely love being amble to track everything. My only wish is that it could calculate the total amount of ounces like it does sessions and hours.
Breast pump motors
I love this app been using for a little over 5 months now. I have the swing-maxi hands free pump, but I just don’t understand why I cannot buy just the motor. I would have just bought a whole different pump if it was gonna be this much of a hassle. Don’t get me wrong I love my pump but I want a smaller motor, it’s to much to lug around the maxi when I’m out and about with my baby. It would be so much easier if there was a way to just buy the motor, but instead you have to spends hundreds of dollars just to get the motor you need.

I like how the app lets me track my pump sessions, I don’t like how it won’t let me edit things when the app malfunctions or I exit out of it and come back to my session. It would be nice to be able to edit time and date.

What just happened?!
I was using the app to track pumping and breastfeeding sessions. I just updated the app and now it won’t even let me open it! It loads to 10% and then auto closes the app. What just happened?
Great app
This is a great app but I’m having issues with the pumping data. I gotta manually connect pump every time before I start a new pumping session to get the data to transfer over from the pump to the app so it is difficult to keep track of how much I’ve pumped
Glitches
I like this app because I can track my pumping sessions and it obviously goes from my pump to the app… well sometimes. It doesn’t always transfer over. Sometimes, if it does transfer over, it’s the next day or sometimes the next pumping session. Then I have to add it manually and that is a chore in itself. It’s very frustrating. Sometimes the “hour, minute, second” tab pops up when I click it and sometimes it doesn’t. If I go to press “pump now“ under “pump settings”, most of the time, the time isn’t correct. I’m currently writing this at 2:57 am, and my app says it’s “9:55 pm”. It’s very frustrating. This definitely needs fixed for a smoother app experience. I should be able to click to add it manually with no issues, sometimes it won’t let me click it at all. It should let me edit the time I started pumping, how long, and how many oz.
Great Layout Bit Bad Server Connection
Server often times out and you new to reenter the entry you just did, as it failed to save to the server. App does not save locally and than uploads it.
