Bad experience
I set up this chatbot on my website yesterday, and I've been running into major issues. There's a significant message delay, and I'm unable to reply to my customers. Unfortunately, this has made it a very frustrating experience for our support workflow.

This app is pretty horrible
Doesn’t match the desktop functionality. For example you can’t seem to find past conversations which seem like a pretty basic thing you’d want from a chat app.

New updates are from bad to WORSE
On my iPhone the new updates are terrible. The icons on the top bar disappear and you have to close and reopen the app multiple times for it to show again also opening and answering tickets have the same issue.
Not receiving notifications in mobile
I am not receiving any notifications no matter how many times I change the settings

I miss so many messages from customers because notifications don’t work.
Whatsapp inbox not working
I am trying to open whatsapp inbox, it doesnt open messages I receive on whatsapp inside the tawk app. I see the messages on tiles but when i click on tile, nothing happens

Love that it delivers client requests directly to my smartphone without having to give out my phone number. My only wish is that removing the tawk to logo was more affordable. For small businesses it’s hard to justify $29/mon just to clean up the appearance ever so slightly. Livechat is $20 a month with more features. Having a ‘remove our branding’ for like $5 a month would land more subscribers. Something for the dev team to consider. Overall thank you for creating a great service.

No dark mode is unbelievable, my eyes are burning to just respond to 1 message !
No sign out option
There should be a sign out option in the app then it will be more convenient for the users
It works, kinda
I’ve been using this app for three years now, and it just kind of works. It’s very glitchy, not clean. Honestly just need slight work and it can be great. The chat function is tough. I regularly have to swipe up to reset and go back into chats just to chat.
Not Receiving Notifications + Random Logouts
In the past this app has worked extremely well for my site. However, recently it stopped sending me phone notifications and randomly logging me out. If not for a wave of angry emails I wouldn’t have identified the problem.

No notifications
Until I get notifications on my phone this app is useless. I’ve missed out on sooooo many sales because despite having notifications turned on, I never and I mean never get notified. I casually check it and when I do I can only see the potential earnings that I lost
Constant updates
Never any new features.. please stop with the constant update pop ups, ever annoying
Don’t count on it!
Chat notifications are missed about 75% of the time because the notification fails to alert. Unless I physically log into the app on my phone and tawk.to website each week, all notifications stop being sent to my phone. I have every setting set to blast the heck out of my notifications and yet they still fail all the time. Ridiculous and not reliable. If notis worked consistently, this would be a 5-star app. Do better.
I couldn't login into the app.
I couldn't login into the app. I don't know what happened. But, I can login on web browser that is funny and annoying at the same time. Yes, I check email and password and I am pretty sure it's a bug. However, it's a great application I hope you guys add more features in the future.

Brutally slow load times
This app is garbage. Load times are slow which costs my business money. Not worth the download.
Can’t fault the service so far
As a relatively small business we use tawk.to for enquiries over the site from visitors. Can’t fault the desktop access and all of the analytics etc that you can also get from it, unbelievable for a free service. The app is a lot less in depth and a lot more basic, but does the job fine, would be nice if there were more monitoring options etc in the app.
Needs update for notification and visitors
Doesn’t show all live visitors until they have left the website. It also doesn’t notify when there’s a visitor on the website. It only works sometimes
New update is horrible.
The app worked perfectly till the new update. Too many glitches. Hours after a user leaves website, it stills shows them on active chat no matter how many times you close the chat or leave it. Same issue with visitors. Revert to older version, it worked much better.

The server and the widget all down frequently, even on there website, you can even contact there support because the chat service doesn’t work

Great app for seeing who’s in your site and what that are looking at. My only suggestion would be to make the text a little larger.

It keep logging me out and asking for update! The hard part is you never know when app is logged you out

Update Issue
The app always says there is an update, but it only says “open” when you go to App Store. This review is only about that issue.
Awesome app but one problem
When the app is open, and I leave it in the background and go to to another app, when I come back the app crashes and I have to reload it
Remove branding
App is fine but that branding you have on that chat leaves a bad impression to customers. Basically makes your website feel cheap. They want $19 to remove the branding per month. That’s very expensive.
Service is not bad
The only problem is is the app is just basic compared to the interface online sometimes it freezes and you have to close the app and then open it back up also some of the notifications you’re not being the phone but it definitely has potential

I’ve missed 5 client messages since the app doesn’t notify me with messages/visitors anymore. Pls fix it. Will update my rating once fixed since the app concept is amazing.

How am I supposed to monitor my business's chats if the app logs me out for no reason? That needs to be fixed.

First of all, really appreciate the app. Help us convert leads in realtime! However, when we are on the move, it would be great to have a look at the chat history within the app. This could also help as reference for future conversations & training. This update doesn’t have the messages between customer support and client in an arranged order. It leaves one very confused as one is left wondering what messages came in firstly. It is a total disaster

Never works on iOS
I have been using tawk.to for almost a year and its been two months I installed it on my iPhone and guess what? It never works. I tried two phones. One is iPhone X and second one is iPhone 12 pro max. But on the same time it works good on android devices. I am writing this review because currently its not working and most of the time, I have to restart the app again and again for it to load. Never have any internet issue. I use wifi and LTE. They should fix this issue asap before I move to tidio or somewhere else. I mean like you can’t simply optimism the app for iOS? Lucky if you are android user because it always work there unless there is some issue from the server side which was like a month ago but I am glad that was fixed. Hey devs, you need to speed up your game and work on it asap because either I am gonna change to another app, or your company gonna change the developer team. Thank you.
