What people like
- Fun to customize your look
- Great for texting friends
- No ads or extra costs
What they complain about
- People hate the new 3D style
- Users want old 2D avatars back
- Not enough clothes and accessories
Love it!!!
I like this app a lot! But one improvement: can you guys pls add an option to get 2d Bitmoji back without getting Snapchat? I’m not allowed to have Snapchat or social media but i really wanna try out the 2d Bitmoji bc they’re cute
I HATE 3D vs 2D
Wow they sure just ruined a great thing. We loved the 2D, used the app all the time and now I can even bear to look at them. YOUR APP DECELOPERS ARE STUPID FIRE THEM AND GO BACK TO 2D
DEVELOPER PLS RESPOND
Ok, I LOOOOOOOVE how u can make ur own sticker, but I DO NOT LIKE how the avatars look now.. I had this app for years and I REALLY miss the OG avatars! But I still highly recommend buying this game! No adds, no payments AT ALL, and still js really fun!
Not working
It wouldn’t let me change my character so then I signed out but when I try to sign in again, I’m able to get to my birthday but once I put in my email, it always says that there’s an error or something
ASuggestionForHair
You should change the hair treatment option to what sections of your hair that is dyed like your “money pieces” of the bottom half or the top half or a small chunk there are so many different styles PLEASEEEEEEEE
5starz
I love Bitmoji because you can customize your outfits. Make yourself look unique. You can connect it to Snapchat and get even more outfit in avatar options. It’s so fun and I definitely recommend getting it. You can share the emojis with your friends in texts and it is so much fun. There’s so many different emoji option styles and different outfits and avatars you can create.
Hate the new AI images
I loved the old Bitmojis that looked like cartoons. The new AI ones are gross.
good, but laggy
love it but it's being laggy and not showing my bitmoji when i'm trying to change my outfit in the "fashion" tab. it only shows a small blue square.
this app used to be good, but now…
It is clear that there has been a developer shift, from somewhere… Completely losing all touch with what the original intent behind this was. A lot of the old stickers vanished, and some that ARE there, are difficult to find now, with searching through text on my phone… (it was much easier before this shift). It was clear the stylistic change, from the smoother look, to this… "3d" look, as it appears to be described as… it was clear that there was some kind of pressure, "from the outside", telling you to change this and that… and then, it sounds like it really harmed your feelings of being motivated to do what you originally wanted to do… And it's apparent that you just went "screw it", and left this jarbled mess… it just feels disheartening all around. It is difficult to find an app that does exactly this… with these creative stickers, with the template of a character with it (particularly those who resemble the user), and use them as reaction stickers for a more colorful/personalized approach when texting someone. It's unfortunate that this has gone into waste. It was fun when it lasted… and now, it is a small semblance what it used to be. For shame.
Good but 🤠⚾️
Add more clothes,Add more hairstyles and colours,AND ADD COWBOY HATS 🤠hec, make custom sports jerseys AND I will show my whole baseball team. Thank you in advance ☺️
Amazing
Amazing BUT ADD BACK 2D BITMOJIS
Bring back 2D
3D is terrible and the avatar is trash. at least give us the option to choose between either version
Glitch? Problem? Hack?
I opened the app and signed in but when I opened it on iMessage, it kept saying I wasn’t connected to the internet even though I was. Idk how the app is because I haven’t used it yet. Please help!
Link
Got Snapchat today. Trying to link to this but there is no “link account” in setting and it says I have the current version of Bitmoji. So how do I link? I’m not going to make a completely different one on Snapchat!
Outfits
Hello! I love bitmoji but i feel as they need to add new clothing items
More emojis! (great app too)
Hello, I believe the app would be much better overall if there were more emojis. I really like the ones where it doesn't have the text or bacground, just the character posing. I would like to see more of those types. I think that it would also be great if there were more emojis for more situations like, (disclaimer i do not know all of the stickers already there so pls excuse that) one where idkkk the other person said something lets say "interesting" there could be a you sureeee type a thing like a side eye but better!!! or one with likeee a jst woke up typa thing. Last, i think there should be more pet related ones. i have pets myslef and i would really appreciate it if we had more of those (like cats and dogs) Oooooooh and maybe a less "weird" body shape (like hands and legs) for the women/girlies . whenever i put shorts on my character the legs always look "off". Thank you please consider!!!
Sucks now
The old version was so much better. It’s awful now so I deleted the app.
Fun!! But one thing..
This app is so amazing!! I just wish they would add braces as an option that is it the test amazing!!! I recommend definitely!! But yes I do wish it could go back to the 2D and customization thing 😕
3D art style falls flatter than 2D
Hate the art style. Bitmoji, please bring back black outlines! I hate using it now. It looks stupid. Not cute anymore.
Specifics
Fun to express oneself with the help of this app. Thank YOU!!! Samsung phone and iPhone seem to be different. Stampede in Alberta Can I please have “YEE-HAW” on a bull option. Different hair styles/colours/ clothing more self-expressed 🥰
Love it
Needs more clothess and back grounds and poses
3D emoji
I use to love this app but I know along with a few friends we won’t be using it because we hate the 3D avatars. Wish it was an option to go back to the 2D. Not to mention a few of the duo emojis have been taken away
Needs more sports
The app is good but there’s almost every sport except lacrosse make spot for box lacrosse teams please
DEVELOPEEEEERS!!!!!!!!!
It used to be sooooo cute and now the 3D avatar looks disgusting and all of my friends agree why can’t you put it back to 2D it is so much better plus if you do, I will recommend it to allll of my friends which think that it is gross bc of the 3D.
IPad gliches
I think this app is cool, but not my fave ? And like I can't chat cuz this is a iPhone app and I'm on a Appel iPad ok so try change the bugs
Great
Love it, wouldn’t change a bit except, on the costumes, it seems there’s headpieces missing, I don’t know if it’s a glitch or just removed.
WHERE ARE 2D DESIGNS I WANT THEM NOW
GIVE ME THEM BACK RIGHT THIS MINUTE THE NEW ONES ARE HORRIBLY UGLY
Change
I hate the 3D sticker version please change back to classic this is why I put this 4 stars good app tho
Was 👍🏻 now 👎🏻
Really liked this app for its many (although North American focused) options but a recent update has changed the look of “me” that I think has made all the images look weird. Will try elsewhere.
hair
Needs more curly hair styles and different types of hair dye placements not just all ombré and one split dye pleeeeeeaseee
Love it
I don't know why people are hating on the new 3d it does not change the app and it still is a good app to use I think it resembles me well also the stickers are the funniest thing and super cool to be honest I love sending them to people I have been using bitmoji for 3 years now and it's a must have and back to the 3d thing it actually looks more realistic and that's what is expected for bitmoji
I’m upset
There’s no maternity outfits on snap besides the ones I used before.
Friends
I just wish u could do it with ur friends. Like put ur friend and u in a sticker. Otherwise I love it!
kind of ruined
I’m obviously not the first person to say this, but I think this app has been ruined. I used to always use bitmoji and I looked so cool on the app, but now with the 3D bitmojis it just looks like someone else and I don’t like how it looks at all. I haven’t seen a single person who likes this change… I know that it’s kind of too late now, but I really think bitmoji should go back to the way it was before with the 2D avatars.
Still adjusting
The eyes are too small and the legs are SO short. The skin tones are not right – can we not choose from a colour field? I’m still adjusting to the changes, I’m trying though!
Hot Take +Advice
Okay, I know this might be controversial, but as someone who’s used Bitmoji a ton, I honestly prefer the 3D Bitmojis! My only tiny complaint? The hands—they could use some work. But when I look back at the 2D ones now, they just feel way too cartoony for me. For anyone who still misses the old 2D style, here’s my advice: your Bitmoji doesn’t need to look exactly like you. For example, mine has pink and purple hair, and my real hair is… not that. Think of your Bitmoji more as a fun representation of you, not a literal self-portrait. Teachers, I get that this might be tougher if you’re using them for work, so feel free to ignore this. But for everyone else—maybe try embracing the new style instead of wishing for the old one back!
The new way stinks
My pictures now go through small. Please bring back the way the pics used to go through nice and large. No matter what I do they send small. Hate the new version 😡
Good but one thing
I love how it’s good for EVERYONE. It has all skintones, both genders, all hair colours and so many individual looks! My only issue is that it isn’t connecting with my friend and we’ve tried EVERYTHING! Apart from that, I think it’s perfect! 14th March 2026
It's ok
You should add and change the colours and variety of the head scarfs then it would be awesome, also should introduce jewellery such as necklaces , bracelets & anklets
BRING BACK ORIGINAL BITMOJI
Current designs make me sad. They’re just awful and don’t look like us anymore. Please, for the love of all things, bring back the original Bitmoji art! PLEASE.
Pretty good
Pretty good
Loved the Original, Please Give us a choice
Not a fan at all of the new change to the “weird” look. Why make the same mistake Facebook did with their avatar? It’s awful. Much prefer the cartoon original 2D. The new version does not transition well utilizing the Bitmoji keyboard. It looks TERRIBLE. It looks Hazy and muddled. At least give us a choice on whether we want the old look or the new one. I’d much prefer the original. Wish I could have kept this at 5 stars, but now it’s just not usable anymore.
I miss the old bitmoji style!
I like the options for the emoji and the ability to use it on multiple platforms but would love to choose between the 3D style and the 2D cute style on the app. I hope you change it back or at least give the option to the 2D because it was so cute!
It ain’t what it used to be!
I dont know what the *#$@ has happened to my Avatar but it doesn’t look anything like me now! The pre updated version was so much better and there were clothes that were the exact copy’s of what i wear most days. Can we reinstall the old version otherwise its not worth having in my opinion! 🙆🏻♂️
Great
Hi, love this but got some recommendations it’s really annoying if I want to change the face or something as it won’t save the one I’ve got and maybe a Bitmoji pets that’d be really cool and add more accessories and clothing like Bitmoji on Snapchat has
So good appp you can make your own emoji if you and your family and friends down lode
So goood make your stout connects with Snapchat
It is awful
Completely messed up a good thing, worst toget it back, which they know you want to, now they make you pay.
Needs improvement
Nice app but would be great to be able to sign up without Snapchat as not able to. Use to have account but not recognised.
Recently ruined
I used to love using this app with instagram etc to put my emoji in the background of my stories, but the style has recently changed and it is awful. It looks so much worse. Change it back!
Great but
I love Bitmoji & use it all the time. My only complaint is the latest change to the style of the cartoons is not good. It seems to be trying to make the characters more realistic, but the reason they were so cute is that they were so cartoony. Please change it back!
