Use every day
I used this app to check for brain fog and overcome it, every morning for many years. It’s on every device I own. When I have brain fog it causes me to try so hard, so, to overcome brain fog, I just start typing words and let my brain do the work on its own. I wish that I could see the word of the day in game, because I forget it when I have brain fog. It’s a fun game and I really enjoy it every day. Thanks!
Wish it was more fair
Dictionary definitely needs to be updated and people with 3 crowns or less should not be matched against people with 4 or 5.
Issues opening with iPad
A few updates ago when it opens on iPad its display is weird.

This game on’t let me let me log on to my account without logging on through my fb account again even though I’m already logged on my fb account to even get to this game to begin with. I don’t even log out. Plus way too many commercials.

Have played this game on Facebook for several years but recently got a notice FB is ending game option in fall 2026 so I got the app. The ads are ridiculously long. One game and then an ad that never seems to let me out. Not sure I’ll keep this app it’s so annoying.

I don’t enjoy the game as much as I used to before they changed the way the letters come up and the double and triple word letters hardly ever come up. I also don’t like the way players are not matched with players who have the same number of crowns.

My game gets stuck on ads
Currently my game is stuck on an ad. Nothing seem to help, including to “get” the game in the ad. So sad, it was THE best game for a long while

New - Have to log in to FB every time you open the app
This is getting tiresome. I used to just be logged in via FB, and be able to open the app several times a day, whenever I had a free fee minutes, and play a game. Now every single time, it requires login via a pop up for FB login, actually two pop ups. Tiresome. Please go back to how it was.
Variety of things
LOVE the game but it seems the extra coins you get for watching a commercial hasn’t worked for LONGGGGG while. It would be nice to see more double and triple letters in puzzles. Also Ive true the new game but never saw any directions on how to play it. Had to just figure it out.

New Error
This is my favourite app by far, and I LOVE playing the game. I like the new landscape version but it favours left handlers! I can’t see the timer easily. Can the timer be placed across the top of the screen please? Where’s replay gone? Love the festive rings but why can’t we correct errors in the Wordle game?

I truly am enjoying this game although I can’t seem to get pass 3 crowns. Also the game has started me back at zero twice now and both times I have lost all my friends. This time I have not been able to recover any of them, I don’t understand why this is happening. Emails from me are not accepted for some reason or can’t be delivered. Don’t answer me on the App Store, I don’t have access to it. Thanks

Update: WHAT HAPPEN TO MY AD-FREE??? OMG, “WHY” the change. The worst interface, ugh...the previous layout IS what won me over to begin playing puzzly words, after playing word battle for over 8years..The previous layout or interface WAS what set this app apart from the other competitors. NOW, it is the SAME bubble-KIDDIE layout as many of the other word games🤦🏻♀️. I am VERY disappointed. This WAS my EVERYDAY game. My goodness somethings are better left as is!! I LOVED LOVED LOVED this game but now I do not get the same excitement as I enter the app since the update... I am sure you guys will not return the game back to the original format so I am sadly deleting my favorite game. Wow, this game was were I could escape from the world AND it also allowed me to learn, while having fun...FYI WHAT IS THE number 4 which sits behind the add a letter?? I’m 🤷🏻♀️ confused...PLEASE PUT IT BACK!! Come on fans let’s petition for a return to the original format SOON!! I need this game in my life, hahahahaha. Annoying ads
I love this game but after each challenge I get an advert, which is fine, but the little ‘x’ in the corner to remove the ad when it has finished doesn’t work in at least 50% of cases. I have to close the game down completely and start it up again to continue playing. I play on my iPad, is this a common problem with this game?

Dropped sound
Why before or during a game the sound disappears?? Very frustrating when I can’t hear countdown timer. All ads have sound, just not this game
Bad review seem to disappear
I have left repeated reviews that seem to vanish about the lack of tech-support. I have sent three emails to help@puzzlywords and never get a response. Last night I came back to review again and saw where they suggested I send an email to them which I had already done twice and they don’t answer! The review no longer appears either - none of them do. Why must these people play stupid games and waste my time? Why not just be accountable and respond to your users who try to spend money with you? DUH for 55. The take away from all of this is - do not spend any money on this app because if you have a problem, they will ignore you.

Love the game, hate the interface
Love love LOVE the game itself! However, the interface on the iPhone makes it impossible to play quickly because tapping on the letters at the very bottom of the screen frequently causes interactions with the iOS. Right in the middle of game play! Very frustrating, especially as game play is timed. Would have given 5 stars if the interface made the game more playable.
Why change the screen?
I have really enjoyed playing Puzzly Words for quite a while but since they have changed the screen I can hardly see it. What a backwards move. Could we not have the option of which layout to use, it would help those of us with poorer eye sight, Please?

I love to play the game . . .
. . . but I am sick and tired of losing the game because of absolute d**kheads who play badly and then flood the game with letters in the last round. Usually these idiots don’t win—they just cost me my win to the second-place scorer. Often my mind has moved onto something else and I’m not prepared. And that spoiler option changes the game from who is best at vocabulary and spelling to who is most coordinated. I’m done with it—have had too many games spoiled by low-vocab morons.

What dictionary does this game use?? And why are players scores different when we use the EXACT SAME LETTERS (with no double or triple word tiles)??? This game got BIG problems, VERY annoying!!! I have played this game for years and loved it. This new version has ruined it for me. Hate the fact you can only play it portrait and the new graphics are cheap and amateur looking. Previously I recommended this game but not anymore.

Good, but...
Good game let down by a very patchy dictionary. Sure, it's only a game, but it does get frustrating when it doesn't recognise some pretty standard words. I'm also not keen on the power-ups. I understand that the developers want to make money, but as a player I'd like it better if they were limited to 3 per player per game.
