Sick of the issues
Login says it’s down, money gets removed from my account but vendors don’t receive it, I wait on hold for phone calls for 8 hours either no resolution. Absolutely ridiculous behaviour.
Convenient yes & no?
The app is cool but sometimes a physical location would be convenient. When the system is being maintained it’s not convenient. Talking to a person is better than an automated system. The level and sophistication of phone scammers nowadays is getting out of control and sometimes difficult to navigate.
Punishes the customer.
Terrible system for pending transactions. If a transaction is cancelled immediately by a merchant, the funds should be released immediately. Holding a teenager's money over the weekend because of an app glitch is unacceptable. If we can clone dinosaurs we can fix instant banking.

Latest update is junk
All of a sudden I can go back and forth between Transactions, need to reload. Not sure what changes have been made but they need to be rolled back!

Won’t allow you to update details
I rather enjoy banking with tangerine. However, recently every time I open the app it starts with a pop up like page. First time was with a piggy bank saying “Open a savings account account”. Hit no thanks every time. Now recently it asks to update my details. Which I did but it doesn’t save them and asks every time. Please fix this.
Log in is very buggy
Log in is very buggy. Sometimes it completely resets the “Login ID”, which in itself is a frustrating way to sign people in. Would be a much better UX to mirror other banking apps using the card number
Ease of use and no fees!
You can’t ask for better than that! The website is easy to navigate and after many years of paying bank fees Tangerine is really the best way to go for me!
Lousy App
Always have problems with this app. Recently had a repeat of previous issues. Unable to trust this app to work as it should. Bank is good but the app needs overhaul.

Une application efficace ternie par deux problèmes majeurs: 1- Une intrusion de publicités de plus en plus importante et inappropriée. C’est une chose de se faire proposer des produits Tangerine, mais quand ce sont d’autres produits aussi, que c’est insistant, systématique et que parfois c’est persistant sur sa page principale (publicité pour Shell par exemple, une entreprise écologiquement discutable), ça donne envie d’aller ailleurs. 2- Impossible de mettre des commentaires sur le compte joint qui sont visibles des deux parties.

Edit Payment button not working
You can’t change a scheduled bill payment in the app. Everytime I try I got a nonsense error message. I called support and they said I need to delete the payment and add a new one. If that’s the case, the “Edit Payment” button should be removed, as it’s worse than useless: it’s confusing and asks you to call the support number and wait 30 minutes to talk to someone to tell you it can’t be fixed. I’ve reported this years ago and nothing’s ever been done.

Good idea, bad execution
This app has to be rated as the bank itself, as there is no other way to deal with it: there is no branches to visit and talk to a specialist. From this perspective it’s pretty bad: there is no chat to talk to support, no clear way to send a message, chat bot is terrible, when you are lucky to get through unfriendly multiple layers of choice on phone, a support person can just hang up instead of answering your question. So, when they charge you for their own mistake, you won’t be able to resolve it as you would do with any normal bank.

Trying to accept and deposit an e-transfer causes indefinitely loading screen.

Money thirst
Why is it that after the latest update any time I opened the app it shows me an advertisement banner to open an account or opt in a service? Why are you so thirsty for money? This ruins the experience because each time I have to click on X for the banner to go away and see my account accounts.
Slow to deposit cheques
Sometimes it thinks cheques are in usd and won’t let you deposit. Such is software.
Ok but needs some work
Excellent functionalities but the overall look and feel of the app is not great and it can be pretty glitchy sometimes. Needs a major redesign!!
App Not Working After New update to iOS 26.6 🚨🚨🚨
Every time I logged in I got this error “We're sorry for the inconvenience. This function is currently unavailable. Please try again later.” I have to delete the app and reinstall and it work after first login after you log out and in back same error I get again. Please fix this issue I don’t know if someone out there having some issue like me.. I love banking with tangerine Thank You
Terrible bank
Wouldn’t allow me access to my own money. Told me over the phone to etransfer to someone else in order to withdraw it. I had to pay ICBC over 3 days because of the withdrawal and debit limits. Also uses fake reviews so they don’t look bad. ABSOLUTE JOKE!!!
No politics
Slightly annoyed that the latest update now forces a pride flag when launching. I’d like to use my banking app free of social causes.
Better banking
The banking app gets the job done and does offers some great features that aren't found in many other mobile banking apps. That being said, for what is essentially an online only bank, I was expecting more from their app. The design is a bit clunky and certainly not optimized for mobile. Actually I'm pretty sure it's just the mobile site in an app wrapper. It would be nice to have an actual native iPhone app experience. There security levels seem a bit random too. I can see my balance in Passbook. I can see my notifications without needing to login. I can use snapshot banking with just a fingerprint where I can do all my banking except depositing money and transferring money. For full banking I need a fingerprint and a pin. What's the point in not allowing deposits without a fingerprint and pin but allowing email transfers with only a fraction beer print? Overall, good bank, decent app with lots of room for future improvements.

Pretty buggy
Very often balances and other numbers do not update to reflect actions just taken (ex when moving money from one account to the next or using bill pay, the displayed balances of the accounts are the old balances), navigation sometimes fails. Many UI glitches and severe UX problems. The app seems like a high school project :(

Knowing that Scotiabank is the parent company of tangerine, this app should be on par with scotias. Please just pay someone to make it easier to use and look just as elegant as Scotiabanks.

I have not one single negative comment to make about Tangerine! The online services, customer care Center and app provide top tier services that make everyday banking a breeze. After 8 years of outstanding service, I’ll never use another bank.

J'essaie depuis janvier d'avoir accès à Tangerine sur mon cell et toujours la même chose "nous nous excusons de cet inconvénient bla bla bla" le service est indisponible en ce moment! J'ai appelé 4 fois sinon plus pour obtenir soutient et même affaire, "on ouvre un dossier" pis ça ne fonctionne toujours pas aujourd'hui le 19 août! Je dois encore aller sur l'ordi au lieu de l'appli!
Newer interface still ugly
Mostly just a hack of the mobile website. Stupid marketing as soon as you login every time, and it’s exactly the same. It takes up half the screen. Get rid of it! This app is trying to be flashy and designed by someone not in touch with people. Ugly bloated display. A simple clean app with info all over it. Stupid notifications counter on the app icon that doesn’t go away and is useless. In that I don’t have a choice, the app gets me by. The old one had a nicer interface. Cheque deposits are awkward at times. When I open the app, why do I have to click to login? Being faceID and TouchID does the login? Some other banks just log you in when you open the app, an obvious easy time saver.

Never working
I can never log in. Always says to try again later no matter how many times I delete and reinstall app. Have to do a long workaround process on the browser version to access. Really considering changing banks
