App is good but the worst thing is ,not compatible with Alexa I made user sequences but they cannot be activated by Alexa routines My advise to make all scenes and sequences Alexa compatible in new update

I love the lights. It helps me when you’re disabled. You can just turn on the lightswithout coming out of the bed. Thank you.
Lots of features, hard to use and unreliable
This app is actually really good. It has so many features, but it’s down side is the setup/menu. It’s hard to understand how to get things setup. Even after you get it working, after a while of not using it and coming back to make edits you’re confused all over again. Also the app crashes every time you want to edit a motion sensor to turn on or turn off. App needs an overhaul.
Good but doesn’t work the way I need it to
I want to be able to use this as a dashboard running on two iPads so that any light can be controlled from either, as well as Google Home and the hue app on our phones. The issue for me is that the dashboard on one iPad doesn’t update if a light is turned on by the other iPad, or any other way. If the app could sense when a light’s status changes, this app would be excellent. Because it doesn’t, I need to find a different app unfortunately. If you want to control your lights from a single device though, this is great.
Best app ever to control Hue Lights
I have loved this app for almost 10 years. The recent updates ensure compatibility with the new Hue bridge pro and, of course, the older bridge. Simple easy to use layout, fantastic programming capabilities, great developer support. I have tried a half dozen alternatives, this one is the best by far!

Perfect for older equipment!
I have a spare iPhone 5s (just in case my iPhone 8 decides to die or someone decides to walk off with it) and it can’t load the current version of the hue app because the iPhone 5 can’t load any OS past 12.5, and I didn’t have a way to control my lights because of that. This software allows me to turn on, dim, turn off, change colors, just about anything the hue app can do (so far). Thanks for keeping it on the App Store.
Can I preview before purchasing?
It’s a step up from the first generation Hue App. I appreciate the few free animation sequences. I suggest adding the ability to sample before purchasing. I was curious about thunderstorm. Was even willing to purchase if I liked it...but I don’t know if I like it because I have to pay for it beforehand. If I could preview it for 5 seconds before purchasing I would be more likely to spend $3. And if that is possible, my 2nd suggestion would be to rethink the placement.

Great App
I’ve been using this app since its first release. I’ve tried other apps to control my Philips Hue lights, but none provide the same level of functionality with such good user experience. The regular updates and improvements are great. The developer is very responsive to requests and provides fairly immediate responses for troubleshooting and issues. The advice is consistently helpful and resolves any problems quickly. Highly recommended!

The most noticeable thing about the latest 4.6 update is the “Nothing works anymore, at all, ever again…” feature.

.. wieder ein paar neue, gute Funktionen in dieser App, die schon bisher sehr umfangreich ausgestattet ist. Was mir persönlich fehlt ist die Verbindung zu Siri. Szenen, wie Gewitter oder Wasser durch einfache Sprachbefehle zu starten wäre super.
Lightning after thunder???
Bought the Thunderstorm add-on and immediately noticed it has the lightning appear AFTER you hear the thunder. It’s so unnatural and distracting. There’s no way to contact the developer so hopefully they see this. Unless the lightning strikes dangerously close to you, you’ll always see lightning a few seconds (depending on the distance) before hearing the thunder.

Sehr umfangreiche App gegenüber der originalen Hue. Für mich leider nicht nutzbar - wollte für mein Aquarium einen Sonnenuntergang programmieren und per Zeitplan aktivieren. Die eigene Sequenz lässt sich traumhaft programmieren - jedoch nicht per Zeitplan aktivieren....
Excellent scenes and app support
I’ve had this app for years; my first, 3rd party app for my hue lights and the only app that provides a truly accurate template of a simple sunrise and sunset. Sunrise and sunset. It doesn’t feel like it should be difficult to do this, yet the Hue app falls short of what this app was doing years ago. Developer response to specific problems is within a week - often within a day - sometimes within hours and offers thoughtful, individualized suggestions. Unfortunately, I stopped buying Hue lights when I found other brands that were reliable, color accurate much more affordable. Please note: that UI can be a little dry and off-putting. Set up your sequences and add them to the Hue control box or add them as widgets on your phone and you’ll be set.
Doesn’t work with the Bridge 2.0.

Wish I’d bought this sooner!
The thunderstorm effect is my favorite! It’s very easy to program. I only have the basic philips hue lights (not the color changing bulbs), so my use on this app is very limited. Still, I like the sunrise feature, the fire effect, and the thunderstorm app. It does look strange to neighbors though, who will see flashing lights through your window! My only hiccup with the app is that it doesn’t seem able to play audio through my Google Home, which I’d like for a truly immersive sound. Otherwise worth the money.
Flakey app - such potential!
I've been using this app for 5+ years, have bought add-ins and extra scenes. Love the color loop scenes - if only I could put my favorites on a separate menu so I wouldn't always have to dig for them. But the app is flakey: it can't always find or connect to the bridge. I've upgraded the Hue router (2x) and home router it's plugged into (2x). Reinstalling the app sometimes works. Several of the buttons or options on the bridge connect menu have never worked. I think the developer should start from scratch. I keep the Phillips Hue (factory default app) around - it ALWAYS works and is good for troubleshooting this app when if doesn't work.
Disappointed
Every other app worked on my iphone 4 But since the latest update app keeps crashing on 14% every time (15) times while searching for Bridge

This app is wonderful. No other Hue app comes close to the control I can get from this. Wow.

This app is too complicated. Aunt nobody got time to get a PhD in Hue light control.

Really appreciate the attention to detail. Also happen to think it’s the nicest looking control app on the Apple Watch. Just wish there was a complication available for quicker access
WELL, WHEN WILL IT WORK!!
Have used this app for years. Is a complicated act to get onto, however, once you catch on it is clearly one of the best,if not the best Hue App out there. Its is very unnerving to think that the powers that be have not experienced the current lack of connectivity being had with all Hue Apps Due to a firmware update some days ago. All of my other, more lame, less costly Hue apps are finally up and going! Only leaving Hue Lights behind and its customer base frustrated that there has not been a more speedy fix to his annoying problem. Perhaps a better rating than two would be had if and when you get your App straightened out and useable people. Not Happy!
Ok, aber mehr nicht
Ich war auf der Suche nach einer App mit der ich meine Leuchten via Apple Watch steuern kann. Leider kann ich in der Watch nur 3 Gruppen steuern oder alle Leuchten auf einmal. Warum muss das auf 3 Gruppen limitiert sein? Ich dachte durch das Upgrade für €5,49 werden mehr freigeschaltet, das war leider ein Irrtum. Ich hoffe das wird in Zukunft mehr möglich sein.

Well made but glitchy
Looks like a really well made app, good user interface. Lots of cool options for animations and sequences. The only problem is that it doesn’t really work properly. When I set schedules for a certain time, the lights don’t update, I tested it 5 times with no luck. In order to activate a scene, pressing it or holding it and pressing “on” won’t turn on the scene. I end up having to go into edit for the scene and pressing on the light I’m trying to change and then it will finally turn on. So, either it is glitchy or just a completely non-intuitive design (pressing “on” doesn’t turn on the scene). If they fixed these problems I would gladly use the app and pay for the upgrades to support the devs. Also would be cool to put sequences on a schedule.. but would need to fix the schedule function first.

Needs a tidy up
Have had this for a couple of years now and I like the functionality and scenes, but I find the app a nightmare to navigate. For reasons I cannot fathom, you can view your schedules and delete or disable them - but, if you want to edit them you have to do it in another part of the app. This seems so counter-intuitive that I don’t know what the thinking behind it was.
Fixed my Hue Go Lamp
I’ve had a hue go lamp that’s been unable to pair with my new bridge for a year, this app’s touchlink feature fixed it in under a minute. i put my bridge and the lamp next to each other hit pair and done, a whole year of dealing with a broken lamp and I could’ve just gotten this app sooner. I’m beyond grateful to the person/people that made this, you’re hero(es)

Great app, needs to run in background
This was my first app purchase as soon as I bought Hue lights. Worth every penny. Fairly easy to program custom stuff, once you get the hang of it. With Phillips putting out some outdoor lights that can work kind of like Christmas lights, I do wish this app would run in the background. I set up a color rotation red->green->blue->white, and I’m a bit tired of going outside and seeing that the lights have stopped switching colors. Open the phone, navigate back to the Hue Lights app, and they start changing colors again. I think the problem would be solved if the app ran in the background.
Last upgrade ruined everything
Paid for the App and some upgrades. Had a bunch of scenes. Everything worked great. After the last upgrade, nothing worked right. Now every scene shows only two lights. Every time I try to fix and add up to seven lights, it defaults back to two. I’m technically savvy. But baffled by this app. So avg. I also cannot delete scenes. No trash icon to be found. Read through Lame Help page. I am truly disappointed. Looking for a substitute.
Guter Ansatz aber nicht ausgereift.
Die App lässt sich gut bedienen und vieles erklärt sich von selbst. ABER: - Die Schaltzeiten der Lampen dauern lange. - Farbwechsel klappen oft gar nicht. Anstatt auf grün wechseln die Lampen auf rot usw. - Oftmals lässt sich das lässt sich das blinken beim Farbwechsel nicht abschalten. Unter dem Strich ist der Ansatz der App ein guter. Ich finde sie mit 5€ auch nicht zu teuer. Wenn die Fehler behoben werden wird das meine Standard App für meine HUE Lampen werden, da Philips ihre eigene App gerade vor die Wand fahren
Fantastic app
I’ve been using HueLights to get more customization from the intricate setup I have. It’s been fantastic, although I’m hitting a snag where the lights are behaving oddly when I use certain transition settings. After finding the support email, the developer has been very responsive to trying to help track down the issue. Highly recommend.
Not that great
I wish I wouldn’t have paid a cent for this app, no customizable animations, sequences are ok, but not seamless, not worth the money, can I get a refund?
An ok app
I originally wrote the view thinking this app was for the official app. For finding and managing lights I would not use it but some of the effects are kinda neat
Wish I had better to say
It works, I guess, but the UI is ugly and feels like it was developed in the 70s. Aside from aesthetics, there are some real annoyances, for example changing the currently selected group. If the group you select is on, they will turn off, and vice-versa. It’s not the end of the world, but details such as these add up to an overall negative experience.
Pretty decent but....
Don't ever remove thunderstorm strobe effect! When you turn on strobe effect there is a prompt every time (very annoying btw) that the strobe may not be a feature in future updates. Please don't ever remove that feature! It's awesome. I built a cloud light that uses 3 hue lights and run the app with Bluetooth to speakers for an awesome experience. I have my own thundercloud that is realistic due to the strobe feature! The app is a little cumbersome. And having to pay for expensive unlock features on top of the app price is pretty petty.
Scene Transition Time
I was looking for an app that lets me configure the scene transition time so I can very slowly fade in my lights. This does it. Thanks!
App does not work.
Every time I open the app I receive an error message stating connection to bridge is lost. Search or More. I hit more, manually type in my bridges IP address and nothing happens and the error message cycle continues. I will be trying to receive a refund.
Very useful
Edit: The developer has been in contact with me to help address some issues, very helpful and appreciate that. The official hue app was a little limited so took a punt on the paid version. For the life of me I can't use the pre loaded scenes independently from my colour bulbs and normal white bulbs. I can delete the white bulbs but this then removes access from the official app as well. There may be a way to set this up perfect but have given up trying after 45 mins. If you want hassle free I'd look elsewhere. Only app in hundreds I've bought that would like my money back 😕
About to give up on this App
The previous version of this app was brilliant. It was largely intuitive and provided detailed features. The current version is really confusing and not at all easy to understand. I think this is change for change sake. It wasn’t broken before but it is now. Money wasted. Time to delete me thinks.

Maintained and updated regularly
As long as I’ve owned this app I’ve felt like it has been maintained and updated regularly. New features have been introduced and new options continually being made available. This app has all the nuts and bolts to make it as simple or robust as you want. At first when you open it, it appears complicated and overwhelming, but it’s not. I love how this app allows you to make it what you want. Whenever you have a question or issue the developer is responsive and willing to help. There are automations available if you are just getting into hue. This app excels if you want to geek out with hue and manually great effects and scenes. Thank you for staying on top of things and offering us the ability to make the malt out of our lighting experience should we choose to do so. Keep up the great work.

A near perfect if it can be used outside home wifi
I wish there is a way to use the scenes outside the home wifi connection. The Panic scene with my home surveillance would have been awesome to thwart off intruders. Developer please make this happen.
