Awful
I swear with every update they make this program worse and worse! Stop moving all the buttons and features to different areas! Just when u get used to it they change it again. And half the features get more and more difficult to use. And this auto save feature is trash! Literally made me lose many projects that I sell regularly on Etsy anytime I had a customized order. It saved and lost countless of my originals even when I turned auto save off, it still auto saves everything!
Material Colors
I have had a subscription with Design Space for many years and loved it. Of late, I’m annoyed because I can no longer change material colors on my projects. Please fix this so that I can continue to enjoy Design Space to the fullest again.
Fix the simple issues!
It’s beyond annoying when it zooms out when you go into make an offset. Being back the plus and minus in the size bar. These updates make using this app unnecessarily difficult. Please fix these bugs!
Used to be great
The new updates changed everything. Now if it’s not in a drop down screen you cannot adjust settings. 12 x 12 used to be the default. Now it always wants the large mat and sometimes you can’t change it. What used to take 1 click now takes several. The screen always goes to print and cut instead of basic cut. Can’t change until you start over. Uses more material than before. Not happy with updates. I understand that things need to be updated but they should be for the betterment of the product. I can still use it, it just takes a lot longer to create a project. Wish there was an option to go back to previous version.

Up until recently I’ve had nothing but great luck with the app but recently when I try to edit a project I’ve been working on the app constantly crashes…I have deleted and reinstalled the app and still having the same issue
Frustrated with the wonky updates
I’m writing this review out of frustration because Cricut Design Space has become nearly unusable for my current project. The app crashes almost every time I use the sticker feature, making it incredibly difficult to complete my work. I’ve been working on a sticker project for several days and have experienced more than 20 crashes. Each crash interrupts my progress, forcing me to reopen the app and start over. It’s become extremely time-consuming and frustrating. To troubleshoot the issue, I’ve updated Cricut Design Space to the latest version and made sure my iPad is running the most recent operating system. Despite these updates, the crashes continue. I’ve noticed that the problem occurs most often when using the newest Cricut Design Space sticker template feature. At this point, I’ve exhausted the troubleshooting steps I can take. This appears to be an issue that needs to be addressed by the developers. I enjoy using Cricut products, but this bug is preventing me from completing my projects efficiently. Please investigate and fix this issue as soon as possible.
A monkey could make a better app than this.
It won’t let me subscribe to cricut acces, and the prices are still way too high. If you ever even consider buying the subscription, just don’t, it’s not worth it. Don’t get me wrong, I love my cricut, but the app takes away all the best parts of the cricut. Make a better app.
I hate this app
Stop messing with this app! It’s terrible and the more you try to “improve” it the worse it gets! I’ve owned a cricut since 2020 I’ve gone through three of them. Every one of them has the same problem where they just stop connecting via Bluetooth and even direct connect. This last one I bought I paid for the extended warranty and mysteriously it hasn’t died yet. The software is absolutely terrible. I don’t know who you’re paying to make this but you need to get somebody who has an actual degree and knows what they’re doing. Every single time I go to make a project y’all change something and it’s garbage. I will literally make a project I’ve made a dozen times and it comes out all screwed up. There’s just no reason for it. You have the audacity to consistently be like “oh, we updated this and made it better.” No, you didn’t. You changed everything nobody wanted you to change and added stupid stuff that nobody cares about. 🙄
Not happy with the Auto Save feature
I hadn’t used Design Space for a couple of months and this week I found projects were automatically saving after every adjustment or tweak. Although good in theory, it’s been very frustrating because I keep losing some of my desired setups when I continue experimenting and then can’t get back to the way I had it. Also…it keeps saving my projects as ‘untitled project’ before I have the chance to name the project. I work primarily on an iPad. I was able a few times to turn off Auto Save but not always. I liked it much better when I was able to decide when I was ready to save my project. Update…..customer service shared how to disable Auto Save (…. Menu) and that has worked. I still have to go I and rename the project (it still initially saves as untitled project) but at least I can decide when it is ready to save.
Cortisol inducing
Genuinely the glitches with this app drive me insane. What should take me five minutes usually ends up taking me over an hour just because I have to deal with this app always glitching up my stickers in the printing preview and then I can never make them. It’s always worked fine on my computer I just cannot get it to work on my iPad and I genuinely don’t have the patience for this.
Unreliable
I’m not a new user and am extremely familiar with the program itself. My issue is that if I need to do anything else on my phone (click a notification, answer a call) or need to set my phone down while cleaning up a file to upload, the app just lets it go back to the blank canvas. I have spent literal hours on files that have disappeared into the ether. Honestly, I wouldn’t even use it on my phone anymore because it chews up the battery, but my laptop runs Linux, which isn’t supported.
I love this just a bit confusing
This app is so good I love my cricket it is very handy and very good at making stickers I am shocked at what it can all cut and draw I think cricket is very good

wow, love that y’all deleted my last review which was also one star because you keep getting in the ducking way of me using the subpar barely functional product. I don’t wanna buy your stupid subscription. I can do it just fine on my own. I would love it if you would stop having pop-ups every ducking menu. I’m not interested. I don’t need it. I just want a workspace that I can do my own workflow in so If y’all can get out of my ducking way that would be lovely.
Horrible
This app and or printer does not working I’ve been messing with it for 4 hours straight now n it’s just gotten so much worse Bluetooth issues it won’t cut anything it keeps misreading the size of my vinyl saying it’s too small because it’s 2 inches meanwhile it’s actually 15 inches and it won’t read correctly the app is so difficult too work as well constant issues !!!!

This is quite honestly one of the worst pieces of software I've ever used when it comes to design. It is not intuitive and it is very challenging to get anything done. I wish there was an alternative software we could use. I barely use my Cricut because I hate this software so much.
Nach Update kann ich nichts mehr über das Handy plotten
Nach dem letzten Update auf meinem Handy kann ich kein Projekt mehr plotten. Ich kann alles bearbeiten, wenn es aber um den Schneidevorgang geht, spuckt der Plotter die Matte ohne einen Schnitt gemacht zu haben aus und behauptet, er wäre fertig. Das ist leider sehr nervig. Über den Laptop funktioniert es weiterhin.

I have been working with the app for a while now. A couple of days ago I noticed that when I try to shrink my stickers to the size I need the app takes a while to do it. I know that sometimes it has to think however it takes a while. Will you guys check on that please

Why are they unnecessarily changing good features??
I love using cricut on my iPad for stickers, cake toppers etc.. I’m not sure if they changed the way to do things but recently they changed the option to change the color for “Offset” effect! I cannot! I’m so mad right now. I loved using that feature to make my toppers look cleaner and nicer but now I can’t even change the color and I’m stuck with an ugly dark grey color! Seriously ?? Why?? I literally almost pulled my hairs out! Please fix this or change it back! **EDIT** I kept trying to figure it out and the ONLY way I can change the offset color background is by using one of their own images! This really bugs me! They’r forcing you to use images from their app In order to use that feature!! There’s no way! 😤

More “changes” that break things
Seriously… when I try to pinch in and out to zoom respectively, it doesn’t stay. It goes back to the original zoom frame. It’s frustrating AF to have to keep pinching in or out and it doesn’t stay. I have lots of orders to fill and you’re messing with peoples ability
OK but improvement needed
The app works ok on an iPad Pro but can sometimes can be painfully slow for no apparent reason. Whilst you have a very detailed measurement tool with a mm scale grid available in the design space main screen, when you ‘make’, you’re presented with a simple measuring background with what appears to be a 5mm offset from the edge of your cutting Matt. Measurements are to the nearest cm meaning you can’t place your cut objects precisely on the virtual cutting Matt. The grid should be upgraded to provide mm accuracy; Something to address in future app updates.
App gets stuck
Sometimes when you want to say “make it” the app gets stuck and you can go back or forward, you have to close the app and restart
Simplest things are difficult
Can’t move a small object because it grabs the whole thing. Why do I pay for this app if it can’t do a simple task
Unable to connect to machine since app update
Since the app update my phone can’t connect to my Joy. It says machine family not found. No way around it. Even after rebooting phone and “forgetting” device on bluetooth Update: after deleting the app and starting from scratch, I am now able to connect my Joy again. Love my Joy 💛 Thank you to Cricut for reaching out to assist. Much appreciated.
Crashing Constantly
It has not mattered if I access on my phone, MacBook, or iPad. Constant crashing. Sometimes you just open the app and it crashes! I pay for the yearly subscription and can’t even use it! When it does work it’s pretty good, but anymore that’s a rare occurrence.

I I was so excited to get the cricut yesterday, and that app worked perfectly fine. but today keeps on telling me error crashed with a purple button that has give feedback so I press it and it doesn’t send me to anything you just like keeps me like out of the app like I keep on pressing it and it doesn’t work. Steep learning curve in the beginning if you do not have any previous exposure to designing programs. After you get to know the terminology and what it does, it becomes easier.. A lot of glitches in the program and sometimes takes for ever just to open the program. Overall not to bad.
I hate this app
Genuinely the most user unfriendly app I have ever used. Don’t get me wrong I use it willingly but it’s because I love doing crafts like putting vinyl on shirts and cars and things. HOWEVER if I zoom out or zoom in it’s because I meant to this stupid app makes me do it twice every freaking time. It is so touchy but then it isn’t at all you have to do everything twice to get it to work. The developers seriously need to fix that. Also. Stop changing the app and moving everything around. The effects section pmo now just should have left it the way it was before. Signed a very frustrated user.

Fantastic app! Love using and creating my own designs. Although the only downpoint is scanning the mat. Sometimes it takes a long time even if it centred perfectly. Any way to make it easier?
Hate
I absolutely hate this app, it tries to force their subscription service constantly. The last design I made it stopped progress at around 75% on my iPad but was actually finished and it just stayed on that screen. After much time I finally got the design released but now I have tried to work on another project and it will not load. I checked to see if the app needed to update, unplugged my cricut, counted and retried. I wish I could print projects from procreate. This is extremely annoying considering the pricey tag to purchase the device to begin with. I see that there is an update coming, hopefully that will help. I will update if loading and unloading problems are resolved.
Available Functions
As a cricut user that does not own a personal laptop, I’d love to see more of the functions available on the app. Example, foiling. Not everyone has a laptop or a desktop to use the full version of Design Space. I really dislike having to use my work laptop for my Cricut designs.
