The app was a little bit sluggish after loaded but now things are looking much better. I like it.

app developer needs to fix the side swipe pause issue. I know the Breitbart team are not app developers but there needs to be some quality control tests before an app update is published.

The app is much improved
While the app is much improved, all of a sudden I no longer receive the daily newsletters. I have re-signed up 3 times and nothing. How come?
superior content in a terrible application
Why has nothing changed in all the past updates these problems are still happening? This is about the app function not the content! The app is terrible which is why I use the web instead. 1. Alerts take you to articles for 3 seconds and then back to home page! Just go to the website. 2. Why does this app delete all the alert notifications when you click on one? I haven’t found any other app that does this because it’s blindingly obviously stupid! 3. Alert notifications don’t highlight any new news items. 4. Scrolling without hitting an invisible ad is near impossible. 5. The comments kick you out to the web interface anyway.

Only half news anymore! The other full half is making an article out of something an imbecilic liberal said that is imbecilic. That should be a section of it’s own “stupid communist things out of touch liberals say” just one article a day, don’t make an “article” of each. I’d love more of their other actual news articles.
Members only in the way
Articles that are locked behind a paywall need to be marked so. I keep wasting time trying to read articles, only to find out I have to be a paying member to do so. Worse than clickbait. Also many articles are only a couple sentences long-again stop wasting readers' time.
Dark mode?? Buggy app
Missing dark mode, app is buggy, can't return to the same article if I background the app. Overall the app "works", but is not pleasant to use, instead it's wildly frustrating.

No MSM crap here. Great News Terrible App
I like reading the news off this site. The staff there kept the high standards that Andrew set after he died. Sadly, the app needs some work. When I read an article and go back to the main page the app scrolls back to the top of the page. Can’t stop the auto scroll either. I sent a message through the app to let them know of the glitch and never heard back. Hope it gets fixed soon.

The most recent update shrunk the font and there is no option to enlarge it. App does not respond to phone font size settings.

App is a Dinosaur
Decent source for daily news, they break some of their own stuff and do legit deep dives too. Though they like, literally every news operation, have their biases and personal ills they use they're platform for. In this case, constantly positing Elon Musk in only negative journalistic angles, then taking a big "victory lap" when he and Trump had a big ego spat. Every news source does this is some way or another, every one. As for the app, it's supremely antiquated and looks like it was designed in the early 2000s, fonts, layout, links, embeds, UX, everything. I can't imagine Marlow-in-chief has much of a graphics dept at Breitbart. Hop on over the NYPost and get a general idea of what a modern 2025 news app / website should look and feel like. Update is way overdue.

They’ve increased the number of articles in Spanish significantly. They should give me an option to opt out and limit their feeds to one language

For the love of God PLEASE fire your app developer and fix this damn thing! I have a brand new iPhone 16 yet this is consistently the glitchiest app. It constantly freezes and opens windows without me even touching the phone. So annoying and unprofessional. Good lord…

Love Breitbart News, Hate their App
This app is so glitchy & complaints to them go unanswered. The worst part is as you scroll down through their stories and exit them, the stories feed returns to the top automatically. Seems like a simple fix but no effort to fix this.

I finally found the fix for the app scrolling back to the top after returning from reading an article. I deleted the app and moved on to better services. I enjoy breitbart news on Sirius XM and for the life of me can’t understand why a news organization that lives on clicks refuses to clean up their functionality. At this point I could care less. The Gateway Pundit fills the void and I don’t have to go to a separate page either to read the comments.

The app freezes whenever I click to read an article. In fact it loads halfway across screen for 10-20 seconds before unfreezing.

Fair news but too many ads!
News coverage is fair and not slanted. But the ads! Every article grinds to a creaking halt due to ‘way too many ads!
New App Update is Horrible
Why did they make the app horrible with this fight club nonsense? The old version was so much better, smoother, faster, and no bugs were present. Plus you could scroll all the way down with tons of articles. Now, it just shows a blank white part at the bottom and does not go all the way down. And now there is an annoying banner at the top promoting the fight club garbage.

Good on iPhone.
I prefer going to the actual site on my iPad or laptop but it works better on the iPhone, I have found, than using chrome or safari. James Delingpole has done a great job with this and his podcast.
Ads are killing this app
As others have mentioned, the ads and bloat have gone way overboard. There has got to be at least 20 ads every single time you open an article and i wish that was an exaggeration, but I'm probably on the low end. Ridiculous.
NO NOTIFICATIONS
Notifications, for whatever reason, are awful. I don’t understand why the Breitbart app doesn’t make an effort to be first in Notifications. Almost zero Notifications. And yes, my Notifications are set to On from my iPhone. I receive Notifications from all other apps on my iPhone. Now and then Breitbart sends a random Notification.
