Ease of use!!
I am so delighted at the ease by which I can do online banking at SCU. Making deposits from the app really saves a lot of time and effort. And when I do visit the branch, I am always very satisfied with the service.
Used to be good
Before the upgrade the interface was intuitive. Now you can’t pay bills on a mobile device, the interface is confusing and non-intuitive. I have been slowly moving my money elsewhere.

I’ve only been a member for a few weeks. Otherwise I would give SCU a five
Remote Deposit
Remote Deposit is a downgrade from the previous version. It doesn’t tell you what you need to write on the back of the check to be accepted. And no confirmation message that the check has been submitted. It’s also extremely finicky trying to line up the check perfectly
Bill Pay
The bill pay function on a Mobil device is terrible. Old app was much easier.
Outstanding credit union
We have been members of The Sharon Credit Union for well over 4 decades. The staff is knowledgeable and professional. The rates are competitive and they have been able to provide financial stability for all of my banking and financial needs. From home mortgages, personal savings, to auto loans. Thank you SCU.
New website
I am not liking this new website at all… Nothing is at your fingertips anymore. Difficult to access everything at the same time that you need. Not a fan.

I really miss the old website especially bill pay. The new website isn’t as user friendly and I don’t like the layout.

I don’t know why you changed the original system? In my opinion it was much easier to navigate than the new one? The dark screen seems to make it more challenging to operate. I say change the screen to a light screen!

Missing functionality
The huge problem is they won’t let you pay for your mortgage and one payment so I had to do two payments every single time which is very annoying

Worst bank and app
Takes 40 years to deposit. They don’t release your funds until a decade later. Direct deposit doesn’t allow for early funds to be available even though its payroll
Remote Deposit downgraded
Been with SCU for 20+ years and this app is just ok. Remote deposit on the old app was seamless. It also allowed you to deposit multiple checks in a single batch which was the best feature. The new app deposits each check as an individual transaction. No bueno. There is also no auto-capture on the image so you need to both steady the camera and tap the screen. Not good for anyone who has problems holding a camera steady. Obviously they didn’t have current users of the old app beta test this for them. Whoever approved the launch should have considered the customer base.

The new app sucks. You have to log in on a browser to access your outside accounts to make a transfer, the passkey thing doesn’t work, the log in doesnt work. The menu itself if you do log in is confusing. All around miss and. Not worth the effort. Just use a browser

Way worse than the old app
Registering wasn’t as hard as other reviews are making it out to be, just had to follow the instructions they sent by mail. But the app is in my opinion the worst banking app I’ve used. Constantly bugging out, transfers not completing, can’t connect to the server, and the layout is not good. Before, it showed all your accounts on the main screen at once, now you have to scroll side to side and don’t see them all at once unless you click to a separate thing. Not really sure why they changed the app in the first place as the old one worked perfectly.
New website inaccessibility issues can’t be resolved
No access, no resolution, NO ACTION ALLOWED. I can access the website through my iPhone but cannot through my laptop. I have tried many times for the last 2 weeks. Have confirmed same User name and password. The system DOES NOT LET ME DO ANYTHING EVEN AFTER ENTERING ALL CORRECT REQUESTED INFO. Surprisingly your staff could NOT HELP ME EITHER!!
Bad way to handle transition
I finally got the online and mobile banking to work but you have to create a whole new account. And it was unfortunate how unclear that was from the emails I got from the bank. Could’ve been handled better.
Bill pay
I hate the new bill pay. It is too busy and not easy to navigate . Actually thinking of moving my money to another bank because of it.
Terrible App
I can’t even look at my account balance. It just keeps saying retry and when I do it doesn’t even load. My account balance has been unavailable for the last 3 days
