What people like
- Great storytelling and immersion
- Feels like playing with a live DM
- Easy to use for beginners
- Fantastic game experience so far
What they complain about
- Free trial is too short
- You have to pay quickly
- No character customization options
- Dice rolls feel rigged
So Far Not bad.
I’ve just begun. And you know how new apps tend to give you their best up front only to bombard you with ads later. Well so far it’s been very good.
Disappointing
Tried and was only allowed 10 action points of first adventure, which barely got me into forest, with heavy loading delays between actions due to ‘heavy traffic’ before crashing in to subscriptions costs, which obviously advertised priority play and removal of ‘heavy traffic’ delays…. Nice concept but bigger trial needed before willing to pay. Should at least get one adventure free and then pay for more if you liked it.
Sound and visual
The dungeon master doesn’t read aloud to you like most apps do, also no visual aid is provided. It’s left your imagination which can be nice to some people, but sometimes it’s nice to get at least a basic picture generated by the systems AI to help set the scene.
It's a good concept
I love the idea but it needs a lot of work like character customizations, AI memory and more than 10 free messages! I can't even delete older characters if I wanted to!
Not bad
Not bad
Like D&D
The game resembles Dungeons and Dragons. The only thing that it doesnt have is the miniatures and their movements. As I play through this game I feel as if i am paying the actual Dungeons and Dragons game itself.
Wish it was free
Great app but need a free version
Not entirely what you think.
It’s a good idea, and the writing is okay. However, the dice rolls have an agenda, and aren’t luck-based. I find it incredibly hard to believe that I had a stroke of bad luck 10 messages in a row. It’s basically like having a DM that is hellbent on making sure their story happens and regardless of what your roll is, makes sure that you are destined to lose. Besides that, I understand that the AI is expensive to run, but only allowing 10 messages is obnoxious and is the reason why people go to Everweave instead.
Decent
I like the concept and if it had a few version where you watched ads to continue it would be nice. Other than that it’s just a free trial then you have to pay to continue.
AI generated
Really enjoying the interactive story.
Very limited
You only have a handful of interactions, just a cash grab app.
Type size
The only thing wrong so far is that the type is very small and therefore a bit too hard to read.
Not ready, not enough without spending money
Thought I’d check this out. No class customization, can only pick what class to be. Very limited number of free actions(10) and there is no indication you get more every month. Ultimately there isn’t enough to go on to see if it is good. Unless you are willing to spend money right away on an unknown this isn’t ready.
Fun text story and doesn’t read like poor ai slop
I chose the fantasy path and enjoyed a wizards story of glory and peril
Pass
The game has potential to be a fun to play as a free game. but with a subscription to play past 10 turns it’s a hard pass.
Good idea for an app.
After around ten paragraphs, this choose your own adventure refuses to continue, unless you pay significant $$$. Costs the same as YouTube Premium or double the price of Audible. Seems expensive.
Pleasantly surprised.
I downloaded this on a whim and I am completely shocked by how enjoyable it is.
Not worth it at time of review
Free tier is too limited. Not enough character customization options. The marketing made it sound like multiple people could play together like a table top RPG. I haven’t seen a feature like that.
Cool RPG
Just like playing with live DM
Not worth the money
Lame story that you can’t really effect with words or actions
My options
Just started the game let’s see how things go from here. It’s user friendly
Not good
No dice involved at all. There’s no options to choose from you have to respond on your own with no hints or any kind of help on what to say or do, it’s not DnD at all. It’s just AI fantasy storytelling
Enjoy!
I love this building AI Dungeons and this is very well done!
I like it
Great story telling
A Rogue’s Talr
This is a fantastic game
