This app is just great.
It has everything you could want in a place to share your favorite chess games with the world and your followers. The review system is really cool, with amazing animations that make the experience feel engaging. You can also create community clubs, talk about anything, and share games with others. Overall, it’s a brilliant platform for anyone who loves chess.
Great app, one small wish
Love this app — clean design, free, and the Lichess integration is fantastic. My one wish: please add a move confirmation button. Coming from Chess.com, I keep making misclicks and would really appreciate the option.

Need to support Variants
I exclusively play variants, specifically Antichess and Atomic chess. (Not just standard chess and Chess960). Lichess already has support for them, please include support for at least these variants so that I can say this is a real 5 star app
Amazing and refreshing
I viewed this game from a youtube video, and figured to try it. LOVE IT.. Something I can say though - Not sure if rating system is as accurate as you would think comparing it to chess.com, which is my only major concern. Yet how would I know if it is? - I would hope there’d be new features cooking up like drills, personal practice, full on stats, insights, even board themes! Otherwise I can’t wait to see what you guys bring, I love this app!
AI comments frequently ridiculously wrong and incredibly stupid button hiding opponents clock.
The written AI comments after each move VERY frequently cause a good laugh. E.G. AI favors a move Rd8 takes bishop on d3, commenting „Rd8 takes on d3 winning whites dark squared bishop is a better choice“. This is rediculously wrong for even three reasons. First the white bishop was defended by a pawn on c2. So the move does not win a bishop, it simply, senseless and obviously looses an exchange. Second a bishop on d3 is not a dark squared bishop, since d3 is a white square. Third: Obviously senselessly sacrifying an exchange clearly was not a better choice in this position. And this kind of AI stupidity goes on and on and on. Sorry that I gave two stars in my first rating. The worst ever possible position for an interface button (the one for the quick settings) is exactly hiding the opponent‘s clock. Therefore you have no idea all game long, how much time your opponent may has available. Programmers skills now fully deserve the one star rating, but only, because I can not give zero stars unfortunately.
Please improve
Better than the android app. Still, small features are needed. While waiting for a game, let me solve puzzles or play against the computer.
Chess deserves innovation not imitation
Chess thrives on creativity, and the players and companies willing to experiment move the game forward. I downloaded the app feeling very optimistic and hopeful about it, but I was sadly disappointed. The previous version of the app allowed you to follow your favorite players and tournaments losing this experience is a real step backwards. Chess has enormous potential to become a true spectator and bold ideas and platforms, elevate the viewing experience. I understand that companies company need to be profitable and this pivot is likely due to business realities. But many of the features in this app already exist on other chess platforms like chess.com and lichess. A Strava style chess platform could bring value to the chess world, but the priority should be to make chess accessible and engaging to watch for younger audiences who want new ways to connect with the game.
2 things to help improve
1. Ability to jump to key moments from the ai summarized move list 2. Recommendations for future focuses should only be catered to your perspective, not what opponent needs to work on
Great App
Love the board and sounds and menu. Love how each move in analysis breaks down the details.
What’s the point?
They remove the old app that actually let people follow and watch tournaments for…whatever this is. I don’t see the point of this change in direction.
Please add puzzles
While i do easily fall into binging matches, please add puzzles. I love them and it’d be awesome to study with the coach. That said, the analysis coach is awesome. Personally don’t really care for the “social media” aspect of it. UI/UX is nice
Meh - really disappointing.
It’s ok, for free I guess. The board colours and chess pieces are just awful and really limited., a real lack of imagination here about THE most important thing. There no bots to practice against. It’s like a really limited version of Lichess, far better just to play on Chess. And No it hasn’t imported the games I’ve played there so I could review them … which makes it pointless to me, they’re trying to turn it into a kind of Facebook for chess, a dreadful idea. This is in no way a competition for Chess dot com as the creates have tried to market it as. In summary just go and play on lichess.
Best Chess App
Lichess is already the best website to play chess, as you get all of the features for free, on an open source platform allowing for customization. This is Lichess for mobile, which was the only reason I played on chess.com in the past.

This is just a Lichess wrapper. A shell. You can’t even play a single match without logging into Lichess first.
Great so far! Slight issue..
Hello! Love the social media esque aspect of it and the ui is great so far! Doing the Dina rapid rating challenge and notice there seems to be an easy-ish way to game the system by relinking different lichess accounts to your take take take account. If you look at the top user (sorry for snitching 😭) you can see this type of behavior with different lichess accounts being used under the same take take take account to gain rating in the challenge, seems like something will need to be done here for future challenges!
Not good enough
There are very limited customization options. The default sound effects are annoying, and the interface itself is simply inferior to lichess. I also couldn't figure out how to send a message to my opponent after game. Lots to improve here. Both Lichess and Chesscom are better options currently.

It’s so good in every way. Must download if you play chess regularly.
Glitchy
This pp is incredibly glitchy. I play on iPad, and sometimes I have to slide a rook 15 times before it will stick to a square, and often it lands on adjacent square from where I set it. I lost well over a dozen games because my clock ran out as I was trying to slide a piece and get it to stick or because the piece stuck to the wrong square and my position collapsed. I do not recommend.
Great potential
Now that initial phase of technical issues is over, the app is promising. Weather it can realize its potential depends on how the club feature develops, it sorely needs an improved feature set. Some of the needed features are: 1. A club feed to display all club members’ games. 2. Some sort of club leaderboard and statistics section tracking head-to-head results etc. 3. Enabling challenges. The option to edit the club name would be nice. 4. Maybe some way for club members to communicate with each other, potentially posts in the club feed or some other solution. Not sure about this one.
Unfinished product pushed too early to market
App probably has potential, but the design isn‘t even responsive yet. Playing on an iPad I start with a phone size screen that I can „toggle“ to „full screen“, but it keeps every initial ratio. Looks and feels just clunky. I don‘t know what this is, but it ain‘t 2026 (yet).

Money trap
This app just legally combines Chess and AI and hopes that everyone will buy into it. Absolutely nothing innovative. It is also explicitly stated as being part of the business plan to monetise things which are currently free, such as the game review.

I love the game analysis
I never write reviews. Ever. But this app is amazing. It’s simple, it’s straightforward, and it’s effective. I like chess.com’s AI overview. It does a decent job explaining why moves are good/bad. But not for their price. This app, however, breaks down your games like it’s a sports play-by-play and helps paint a better picture why some moves work and why some don’t. Plus, the whole thing is free. No ads, no paywall, no gimmicks. Just chess…it’s amazing
Worse than chess.com
It seems worse than chess.com at the moment. The board and pieces look terrible and the A.I. Feedback is very repetitive. I thought it would give more of a feedback or how I could move forward and learn to improve my rating.

Free Analysis + Integration of Lichess Platform
I recently got back into chess from a 2-3 year hiatus and was using chess.com’s app prior to finding out about this after TTT and Chess.com’s dismantling of Titled Tuesday streams partnership. Although it does seem as if there is not much interaction in the social aspect of this app due to it still being new, when you play games on this platform it links to or prompts creation of a free lichess account to link to. This allows players to play against the second biggest online chess community and the user interface is more enjoyable than the standard one provided on Lichess. The Analysis given on game review is always free and way more in depth than chess.com gives you. Also Chess.com requires a premium subscription if you want more than one game review a day; whereas, on Lichess, I have yet to find anywhere that prompts any sort of paywall or advertising. It’s refreshing to have an approachable place to play chess with free quality analysis compared to Chess.com. You even have the ability to use analysis for OTB games which could also be used to analyze games from other online platforms as well. I had been contemplating repurchasing a membership to chess.com again so i could learn more from my games but this has saved me from that and I’m very excited to see what’s to come from the TTT team. This is amazing for the growth of the chess community and provides an even lower barrier to entry and learning. Thank you for my new chess home, Zephyr (aka Tyler Roach)
