Useless
What an absolute waste of time.
Mostly excellent
After a number of iterations, this version is a great improvement on some of the older versions. I think the map is clear and the bus locations and direction easy to see. I find the interface intuitive and easy to navigate. Of course, not all is perfect! For some reason some of the buses I use (around Derby) are marked as Cancelled when they are not! Also the tracking isn't 100% as buses can appear and disappear from the map. Also, as someone else pointed out, if you tap on a bus on the map I would like to be taken to the bus stop list showing both where the bus is and where I am waiting.
Rubbish
Causing me to miss buses because the live bus data doesn’t show every bus on the route. So you think ok the due time is long past, there isn’t a bus coming. So you start walking. And then a bus appears but you’re in between stops. Fix it!
Direction information?
When you click on a bus on the live map it doesn’t actually give you information where the bus is heading. Just shows the vehicle number. It would benefit if the direction of the bus was shown IE the trip time and where it is heading.

All times are wrong app takes ages to load most bus positions on the map are completely wrong or plain lying. The only thing this app has been useful for is checking how long a journey takes and typically it’s still wrong by ten mins

Navigation doesn’t work
Basically unusable, updates continually break the ability to plan a route. This means you can’t see what buses to take or their location.
Cancelled and late buses
Your 64, 63& 65 are appalling, people rely on these buses for work, your missing them out and then others are very late, You have no one to compete with so customers do not matter
Why change it?
Before I could click on the busses and see the time they are supposed to be there and now I can’t click on them and see the route they are taking.

Been a few months since the change of app and its sooooo much more reliable.. easier to use track and to purchase tickets keep up the good work 😊
horrific
not just the app but the bus times and delays are always horrific, tells me a time to go to the bus stop then the bus doesn’t show up and i have to wait for the next bus. drivers also stop every 5 minutes for a 10 min break which is a joke as well when i have places to go despite plans already being ruined since the bus was so delayed to turn up in the first place
Bus keeps disappearing
Great idea but Arriva have still not solved the disappearing buses problem. You can look at the map one minute and see busses and the next minute they have all disappeared. So you have no confidence in the bus locations on the map. Full signal on my phone and using the latest version of the app. So I do not know if it is an app / bus refresh issue, but at least show the last known position of the bus rather than no bus at all.
Departures
After the recent update, when I tap departures of bus 3 or 4 in Hemel Hempstead nothing happens. The next screens do not open!!!

somehow worse
old app was shocking but at least (for the most part) it told you when ur bus was delayed and by how much!! this one does not = confusing tho ofc it makes arriva look better. it doesn’t ‘remember’ any of ur stops in the search bar like the old one, when u finally find a live bus on the map, it doesn’t tell u where it’s going to/coming from as well as how on time it’s running. it’s all confusing and makes no real sense. it would be sooooo crazy if this was made by people who are rich and don’t ever use the bus!
Unknown bus times
Old app was better. Specifically, when clicking on a bus stop it doesn’t show you any future bus times whereas on the old app, it even showed the timetable for the day after. Also, when clicking on a certain bus, it doesn’t show which stop it’s currently at or what time the bus passed a previous stop. Bus display on the map are so weird as well. It’s either an actual bus shape or a dot, what’s the reason as it doesn’t even move? Bring back the old design, don’t fix what wasn’t broken.
New App
The new app is far more accurate than the previous app when tracking buses. There are a few changes when tracking but once I got used to it I’m using it all the time.
When is my bus coming?
I used to be able to see where my bus was and how late it would be. Not now. Time to hand over all bus services to other providers. Arriva has been consistently bad for a number of years now.

Does not work as efficiently as the old version. I switch on what buses i follow and nothing appears on the map. Rubbish now.

This is a life saviour as I did not know the exact time the bus would be there. Also bus drivers are as nice as always especially with the change of apps

Awful with bus times , they’re always wrong ! Always claims there is a bus at half past it’s always at 10 too !
Hard to Use
Bus tracking doesn’t work unless the bus is in the same street as I already am. App is harder and more confusing to use than before. You HAVE to know where the exact bus stops are you want to get on/off are, otherwise it’s impossible to plan your journey. Keeps suggesting longer routes for journeys. I was hoping this app would be a major improvement on the one before, it’s now somehow even WORSE.
Live tracking works most of the time but not enough
You can’t say it’s live tracking if the bus doesn’t turn up , the number 2 just doesn’t turn up sometimes. Ariva has been running buses for 46 and can’t figure out how to get a bus to where it’s supposed to be on time , how can it be called live tracking if the bus is due but there isn’t one within 30 min of me.
Cancelled
I think the bus app would much more useful if it showed when services are cancelled or delayed similar to the Trainline app. There been several occasions where I’ve been left waiting at a bus stop over an hour with no information where or why the bus is not at the bus stop when it’s time is due in to the station. I think real time update or information when a bus is not going to be showing up would be much better than standing and waiting around. I think passengers can plan their journeys better if something like this was implemented into the app.
Logs you out randomly
It has logged me out randomly 3 times, and you don’t notice until you get on the bus and try to get your ticket up. I asked the driver if I could just get on while I log back into my account and then scan my ticket once I’m logged in, but they refused and said I need to scan it before I get on. And I didn’t have time to be messing around with passwords and bad signal, so I had to buy another bus ticket even though I already had a 4weekly ticket on my account! Ridiculous.
Horrific
The creators and testers of this app should feel thoroughly ashamed of themselves and I hope they never get a job in the industry again. I wish them the worst. The previous app was basic but worked, this attempted version is completely inaccurate and barely works. Would rather get an Uber.
bus timetable
im sick to death of the bus app saying its gonna come at say 2:00 and it will come 30 mins late I thought I would let it off because I thought it may have been a traffic, but this has been happening every single day for a month im tired of rushing to the bus stop and then it not come for another half an hour don’t set a time if it’s not gonna come on it
