Description
Japanese? The real problem is kanji.
You've tried flashcard apps. You've ground through vocabulary lists. But kanji just won't stick — because you've been memorizing shapes instead of understanding structure.
Every kanji is built from smaller components called radicals. Learn the radicals, and kanji stops being a wall of random strokes. It becomes a system — one you can actually read, remember, and use.
iroiro JLPT is a Japanese vocabulary app designed to make kanji click, not just cram.
How it works
We break each kanji into its radicals, then lock the meaning in place with a vivid mnemonic — a short, memorable image that connects the pieces to the whole. Instead of seeing 休 as an arbitrary symbol, you see a person (亻) leaning against a tree (木) to rest. That's not a trick. That's how the character was built.
Do this consistently, and something shifts: unfamiliar kanji starts to look readable. You recognize the parts, guess the meaning, and you're right more often than you'd expect.
