One of the funnest games I’ve ever played on mobile
Save hell!
If you like a game where everything takes 30-60 seconds to load or save then this is for you. Oh right you need to save after doing anything because the game crashes constantly…
Games almost perfect
There’s a few things to make this game perfect for example the development for some reason the players develop very slowly but there is a solution which is putting the development monthly to full and normal development to full aswell. The game crashes quite often but otherwise this is 100x better then ea’s slop garbage they put out every year
Always cheats so you loose
Year after year I build elite juggernauts, year after year I am favored in the playoffs, and every year I am upset in the playoffs. It gets old fast. Save your $6.
Game keeps crashing
Just got this game last week, love it, but now it’s crashing during drafts and completely kills my careers resetting me to my last save, it’s happened 3 times in a row. Please fix
Addicting! (Caution to older phones)
Played the free version a bunch and was absolutely addicted so I bought pro! Despite this being a heavy sim game that drains CPU, it still runs really well on my iPhone 14 and only the saving speed slows down decades into a campaign. If you do have an older phone I would be careful about investing in the mobile version because it will likely be substantially slower for you. Instead consider the PC version!
Really hard
Free version is really hard even in the easiest difficulty wasn’t able to play and enjoy it
Great Game
This game is amazing I have gotten it every year since the 2023 version. My only issue is I got the PRO version on my old Samsung phone and can’t get it to cross over to my new phone (iPhone)
Losing progress
Game doesn’t save unless you click save so if you get a phone call while playing you will lose all your progress. Keeps happening and I just keep losing my progress cause the auto save feature only saves once per month??
App causes phone to heat up, run slow, and reduce battery life span
I’ve played the HLM series for years now. I always get the updated app and it’s always great. I’m loving how the developer is continuing to improve the features of this game. However, something that I’ve noticed with this app, and I haven’t done enough testing yet, but I believe when you get later into the season, the CPU usage skyrockets or something because my phone acts slow, it heats up, and my battery drains faster. Never seen this happen with any other HLM app, and I’ve done 20ish seasons in a single file on HLM25 with the pro version before. I have an IPhone 15 Pro so it’s not like I’m running this on some janky device. But it is slightly frustrating because I partly feel that the game is unplayable when this happens. Hoping it can be resolved and I’ll update my review!
Magnificent
Wow
Terrible sim engine
Team can win 15 games in a row. Then lose 30 in a row. All my lines are blue or green chemistry and can’t get past a wildcard spot and 1st round exit. My team goes from “elite” to “retooling” by mid season. 10 seasons in a row of this same result. Not worth it
I love it but
First of all I love it , it’s a great game nothing bad to say about it but just a couple things like , when you get like 3-7 years down the road in the game everyone wants like 16 million a season and Like 72 overall players want like 20million , And also in the draft in like 8-10 years along in the game why do all the players be like 20 overalls and 14 overalls, but all in all it’s a really good game
Editor bug
Issues with affiliate assignments - I have two nhl teams with the same echl affiliate in one it my careers even though they have two different affiliates in my roster. Also European teams and other pro teams (ai controlled) are not signing free agents
Black screen glitch
I love the game and have been playing since 2022 this year everything was going well and now I’m in the third season and all of a sudden mid game my phone just turns off. Thankfully I don’t lose progress and can keep playing but sometimes it happens multiple times within 1 minute
Best hockey sim game
This game is so incredible that it’s way way way above anything else in a league of its own. Would recommend to anyone who is a diehard hockey fan. Great details and constant evolving each year.
Phone overheating
iPhone 16 pro overheats and starts to lag the game. I was considering buying the game but the lag and overheating are unbearable.
Great game. too consistent of crashes
Amazing game, better than any slop EA has put out, the only downside i have experienced is about a crash every time i play, which usually ends my sessions for the next couple days since im just unmotivated to get back on after losing progress, typically play with auto saves either off or on every 4 months to speed the sim up. Its either while im purchasing specialties for my staff or just before a sim to another date starts. if this issue were to be resolved it would be a 5 star review 100x over but this is a consistent enough of an issue for it to be a fear every time i boot the game
Contract Limit
Games seems good but I went over the contract limit and there’s no way to go under it. I tried trading, It says I can’t trade because I’d have more than 50 players (I’m trading 4 of my guys for 1 of their guys), there’s nowhere to put a player on waivers I’ve spent 20 minutes clicking every button. Also the auto roster management thing or whatever doesn’t do anything I thought that would help me out it didn’t.

Best hockey manager game out there
Incredible that this is a mobile game, the amount of detail and thoughtfulness in this game is beautiful and any hockey lover will find themselves playing this religiously. Would give it 6/5 stars if I could.
Sim sucks
No matter which players I get, no matter which coaches I hire, the team I have can’t have a winning season. Even with great chemistry across all lines. I like everything else about the game but the unrealistic simulation kills it for me.
Love it
Been looking for a mobile game similar to NHL 26 franchise mode and this is everything I was looking for. Super fun, easy menu, and very fast simulation. The only critique I could give is to unlock the other modes it’s 6$ but besides that its amazing
Needs a fix
I have played this game since 2019 but I got to say it’s an amazing game and has everything you could want but it crashes and is incredibly slow on my iPhone 14.

So I got the game and it seems amazing with how in depth detail it is… well quickly I realized who ever made all the players cannot spell any of their names right. Like there’s like 2 correct names per roster. Makes it impossible to play lol
Good but needs some tuning
A) Needs some noise effects 1) music in background in all menus 2) noise when a goal is scored when in play by play B) and you shouldn’t need to pay to do everything
Very fun game
The game is great! But one thing i really want you to add is where your able to play with someone else in the same league but obviously you need internet for that mode i know it would be kinda hard but i think it would be cool if you did that but fine if you didnt

Ads and don’t even get full game. Need to pay 5.99 plus tax for “pro” to access basic features. Garbage.
Love this game
I love this app. It’s everything I wanted in franchise mode in NHL 26 without having to be on my Xbox. There is only one thing I really don’t like about this is that there isn’t a lot to do without paying for pro except for the regular career mode. Other than that this app is one of, if not the best hockey GM sims I’ve ever played and I highly Recommend it.
Please make a OHL version
Please make the exact same thing, but NHL teams will draft your players it will be exactly like the NHL won you draft from the AAA teams and then when they turn 18 or when they’re 19 and they get drafted to the NHL they either leave your team or the NHL won’t sign them please
Good game, major flaw
When simulating it constantly freezes, makes the game basically unplayable. I have to close the app reopen it and all progress is lost.
Better than console but freezing kills it
Amazing game, everything about it is in depth and you can do just about anything you want. But the constant freezing is why I can’t give a 5 star, too many times I’m going through a season that is going well and then the game just stops on a random date and doesn’t continue simming. And you have to be careful with frequent autosaves because those freeze as well, many times I’ve lost great month stretches that I haven’t been able to replicate because of this and have had to go back many months. If this issue gets resolved, I’d give the game a 6 out of 5 if I could
Small glitch
Awesome game, no more EA for me. But recently I believe aince last update I got a glitch in live games, the score board just keep going bigger after every goal. High scoring game It takes the whole screen :/
Broken simulation
Game is great, but 1/10 times you sim a month or to next game it’s a infinite loading cycle and you have to revert to the last save game you made IF you made one recently. Only way to ever get around this is either wait actual hours or restart app.
Great, But Same As Last Year
I love the HLM franchise and the community involvement is great HLM 25 was is my favorite hockey sim on the market. Was super excited for ‘26 but was disappointed when it looked like the exact same game. Hard to justify paying another $5 for PRO when I already have the same game in HLM 25
EA wishes they could have this much detail
Played these games for years and always buy the pro version. Every year is more and more detail which is really fun! Only thing is this year you can’t turn off staff salary cap. The game has inflation but no cap growth for staff so I have to let certain staff members that I developed go.
Not funny anymore
The app keeps crashing when I try to do the 2031 draft. It's pretty frustrating.
Better I guess
Hey I having more fun with this game then the last HLM game but there’s a bug which hasn’t been fixed yet. I need to assign my own staff and I have no patience for that and I already have auto assign staff every single one on, but it won’t do it. Please fix this.
