A fantastic game
I never knew how much time has passed while playing this game. Creative, fanstastic also very good for brain 🧸🤍
Monetization Hurts Game
This is a fun card game, but the recent update cranking up the already pretty strong monetization really hurts it. I wouldn’t even start playing it now.
Solid and fun, but shop mechanic is annoying.
Great game and fun mechanics, but tying progression behind ever-increasing paywalls rather than a single lifetime purchase is kinda scummy. I would rather pay $10 once than pay a monthly subscription for what should be a single purchase. Other than that, it’s great
Not fun
It was fun for about an hour but once you get to difficulty 3 you start to notice how the game works against you. Multiple matches in difficulty 3 and 4 I got to the final turn, only to have 0 weapons show up. The only thing that were appearing were high power enemies. I bet if I bought that new hero or that card pack I’d be able to get past the level, huh? Lost all fun once I found the game just builds you up to blast you at the end of the match, every.single.time
Great Game
Really really good game. Very mentally stimulating without being frustrating. I love how little I have to interact with ads and the game doesn’t even pressure you to purchase coins. I stumbled upon this game on accident and it’s hands down my new favorite
It’s just not that great.
I loved the first game. I still prefer it over this one despite the first game being totally abandoned. I liked the quick pickup of the first game so much more. This feels like it wants to go in so many different directions and it got lost in translation. The direction for this game is unclear. The gameplay no where nearly as fun and quick as before. It’s disappointing.
It is not that expensive
I am not sure why people are complaining about Iap in the game. It is like $1 to upgrade the bag once then $6-7 the second time. The developer is less aggressive than other game. I hope the game has an endless mode that i could play and i am willing to pay a bit more.
The creator is unhinged
“White curtains” in a game that likely everyone plays going to sleep is diabolical. Absolutely blinding and lights up the entire room on the lowest brightness setting. Maybe let’s do Red to match theme or black? K, thanks Sincerely, My eyes and circadian rhythms PS. I love the game
I don't understand
The novice tutorial requires you to click the store to view it, but as soon as you click on the mall game, it gets stuck. It neither shows more content nor can be exited, and then you can't play the game without the tutorial of the mall. What does this mean?
Like all good games…
An exceptional remake of the original. It introduces additional ways to customize your deck while adding difficulty through enemies. As if right now I have not been able to make it to advanced but I have a feeling that the higher difficulty will use the stickers and other abilities. It is making it to advanced and higher difficulties that is my problem. As strictly free to play I have difficulty obtaining items with items exceeding the amount of my coin purse it is tough to continue the game. I am a fan of the ads it doesn’t lock necessary content. But I would love to unlock higher difficulties but at this slow pace it is proving cruelly annoying. My only suggestions would be to lower the prices of items to 250 instead of 275 so free to play can access them easier without needing to open a chest. Thank you for reading this.
Some games are not winnable
This is a game full of bugs and pushing ads on you with no rewards to finally end up on a non winnable game. Do not download. Money grabbing scam
Great game, but-
This is an awesome follow up to Card Crawl. If only the purchases were all one time purchases, I’d spend upwards of $20 happily for this. Monthly subscriptions, no matter how small in price, is basically a battle pass and that is not great. Please consider an option to purchase those benefits without a continuing subscription.
Have to pay to advance
In order to advance past the first few levels, you have to buy a bigger purse to hold enough coins to buy more cards. I did that to help the developer out and discovered that after a few more levels the card price exceeds your purse capacity again. So you have to pay again and the price is not worth it for the second upgrade IMO. So I can’t go any further in the game, plus there are ads and an optional monthly IAP that I refuse to pay. So I’m done with this game. The first Card Crawl was much better.
Good…But Poor Monetization
The game itself is fine. Fun solitaire-like rogue-like. The elephant in the room is the monetization. I just recently hit “the wall”. Your good bag holds 250 coins. If you get money over that amount NOT from a special chest, the barkeep steals it. Problem? Not if shop items don’t cost over 250…but they do. So you are shelling out at least that, but there are two 1.99 upgrades for max coin bag capacity. Plan on purchasing them. But then…there is a monthly subscription. I’m…confused. I’m not sure why it’s there as it isn’t “necessary”, but seems to skip progression. So the point of buying is to….play the game less. In my eyes, that devalues the product. If you made it and don’t want me to play it, why should I? I’ll sandwich this with a compliment. It’s a polished game that is fun to play. I just wish I could simply buy it like their other games…
scratches the gamba
good combination of gameplay elements, great art work, lots of unlockables/characters. feels like a leap forward for the series rather than "the next one". the sound of getting gold has never been this satisfying. ever.
RNG Fest
Nothing but RNG. Love getting railroaded by dog water bosses right at the end of a run.
Predatory loot boxes
Sad to see predatory random loot boxes feature. It’s a shame as this game is an improvement on the original.
Good game, bad monetization
I was really excited for this game as I’m a fan of the developers other games, but sadly the poor choices in monetization are a real buzzkill. While I’d happily purchase this game for like 5 bucks, the microtransactions, ads, and subscription (who wants to pay a subscription for a mobile game) really detract from what otherwise would be a great experience. While the game itself is well made, I’ll unfortunately won’t likely won’t see much of it sue to the monetization choices.
One problem
I didn’t play the game far enough
Just sell us the game!
I was looking forward to buying this game but to my surprise I cannot purchase it. Instead of selling a game we get this monotization that insults our intelligence. The game gives you problems that you must fix by watching commercials or buying upgrades. The problems created for us: #1: You have to pay for items to win at an interesting difficulty. The game is centered around this to advance. #2: Good items cost over 250 gold but your bag isn't big enough to hold more that much. Solution: You must pay real money for a larger bag. I don't know how many sizes there are or how big your bag eventually needs to be in order to have fun. #3: The store is only open twice a day. Solution/problem: Watch commercials to refresh the shop. Solution: To avoid this you can rent an ad-blocker with real money which creates a recurring charge on your credit card. I have no idea how many more sleazy 'gotchas' this game has because I simply do not support this type of monetizing. This game should have simply been available to purchase like previous titles. A freemium version could have been published but you still have the useless gold bag that is too small to buy anything good. It's sad because it's mostly die-hard fans of this dev that's buying into this freemium model. Just make a good game and sell it to us!
Great game!
The game is super fun, and the art is amazing! Would 100% recommend for a relaxing experience. 👍👍👍👍
Scam for money
The fact you have to pay to collect the coins you earn is shameful. An obvious regurgitation of the previous game in order to capitalize off of hype and children’s impulsivity.
Good with one awful mechanic
Great game, loads of fun. But money goblin/ pouch having a limit so you have to spend real money to expand pouch to buy heroes with gold is absurd. Totally ruins the game once you actually get into it.
Excellent
Its a little slow to start, but once you start unlocking items and modes it opens up a lot. Pricing is very reasonable, and staggered in a strange but functional way. Advanced mode was well worth the grind and unlocking the hero swords and shields has been a blast.
Grind
Nearly impossible to progress without paying money every month, played 30+ games so far and I can’t upgrade anything because your bag can only hold 250 gold, but hey for real money you can upgrade that. I personally want more cards that the ones you start with, I’ve gotten 1 new card. Gameplay is fun, but very repetitive
Great game with increasingly oppressive shop prices
The mechanics of the game is tied to the shop. You can earn things to a point on the free free, but eventually you need to pay at least $7 to advance the game. It is more than worth that. What’s missing is an outright buy for 30 bucks. It has a subscription for a dollar that although gets you to play daily for about a games winnings of gold, does not solve the issue of the characters you’re buying ballooning above what your coin limit is. The game starts to feel real grindy at that point and I don’t like to grind. If I could give it 4.5, I’d do it.
Great Game Ruined by Monetization
I have bought every one of this designer’s games (he is a single guy doing it all) as he’s got real skill and talent. The core gameplay loop is a lot of fun and stylish with a surprising amount of strategy. Unfortunately, it is literally impossible to unlock 50% of the content without spending a chunk of cash. Extra spells, heroes, and items are unlocked, as is usual, with in-game currency. The problem is that you have a currency cap of 250 gold, which you can pay a $1 to bump up to 500 gold, but if you want to cap it at 1,500 gold, well, that’s going to cost you $6. Annoyingly those spells and items start ramping up in cost the more you unlock (so once you reach around 50% unlock, well those spells and items start costing 750 gold each, which you can’t save up to without paying $7). And new heroes cost 700 gold (or 6 gems which is the premium currency). There are also ads you can watch, but the rewards are limited. You can pay a $1/month to skip ads. It is a real bummer.
Fun but…
Games fun, really fun. But also really hard. At times it kinda feels a little pay to win. You only get 2 characters for free, after that it’s .99 cents CAD. There’s also an optional monthly subscription to go add free and get some bonus’s
👍👍👍
I love every single one of your games. Don’t ever stop!

Found bug
When in difficulty 10 for classic, I had 9 health and the enemy had 6. I dragged him onto me and the game said that I was going to lose if I continued. Just trying to help don’t understand how that could happen.
Good game, in app purchases are out of control.
The game is genuinely fun as Arnold Rauer’s games typically are, but the number of in app purchases is ridiculous, to say nothing of the monthly subscription idea. A one time charge of $10.00 to own the game and its features outright, sure, maybe. This though? It’s scummy and a slap in the face to long time players and fans.
so close to being very very good
nearly so good. however, a major flaw in the gameplay is that no matter the difficulty and how well you played, you will often lose in the last shuffle, because you havent had enough slots to have possibly save up any swords or anything to attack with, and for some reason those cards only come out in the beginnings of the game. I also find the wooden crate cards at the end a bit pointless. Also pleaseee add option to choose equipped items 🙏🙏
Addictive
This game is amazing. Can’t put it down. Great unlockable elements and well worth any money you sink into it (although you don’t have to).
I can't open shop
I can't open shop. I can't continue to play!!!
Bugged tutorial- Updated
Can’t get out of the tutorial. Beat the level over and over and it’s keeps cycling me back. Update fixed the issue. Now I can actually play it. Great game!!
Disappointed
I was so excited when I saw this game was coming out. And the worst part is, the gameplay in itself is actually kinda great! But man has the soul been taken out of it. Micro transactions everywhere, a SUBSCRIPTION to remove ads, like, really? Who thought that was the direction to go? I understand they need to make money, but I’d much rather pay upfront like in the previous titles, have to pay to unlock the full game, ANYTHING but have it ruined by aggressive monetization tactics that go, in my opinion, against everything an indie game should be about. It’s dishonest, and frankly, just plainly disappointing.
Unterer Durchschnitt
Was mich weiterhin stört: die Kisten.
Incredible Sequel To An Amazing Game!
Not sure why this game doesn’t have a solid 5 stars, but it deserves it. The original was amazing and I’m so excited to find out that this one exists!
Gross IAP
Beware. Even if you buy the money bag increase, the cost of the cards and hero items scales, and soon enough, your purchase means nothing. Also the wording and the mechanics of the challenges is absolute garbage. “Complete all 5 challenge taverns to gain rewards. You lose 1 reward per failed tavern. After 3 lost taverns the challenge is over.” Again beware, if you lose ONE, yes only ONE tavern you either pay another 250gold or the challenge is over and you lose ALL rewards. Guess I still don’t know what it means to “complete” all 5. Because it’s if you fail even ONE, even the last one, ONCE, you lose ALL rewards. Seems to me if I fail the last one, I “completed” them all, “failed” one, and should be entitled to my two rewards. And it’s totally garbage that I paid 250gold to start and there is no mention of additional 250gold to continue if you fail just ONCE. A proper description would be “Complete all 5 taverns successfully in increasing difficulty to gain rewards. If you fail any tavern you may try that tavern again for another 250gold, and will lose one reward. After 3 lost taverns the challenge is over.” But hey, I believe the wording as is, is intentionally confusing because the dev wants to suck more IAP out of unsuspecting players.
Fun game. But needs major overhaul with monetisation and meta economy.
At this point in time, what is the incentive to play? I can’t unlock new cards because I need to wait for a timer to restock the card packs. So I just play to earn gold for new packs I can’t spend???? Oh wait… I can’t even play to earn gold because it’s capped at 250 with the need to spend irl money to increase it. I’ve gotta be missing something in the UI, this can’t be a game mechanic. Like genuinely what is the motive to play the game??? Who approved this lmao. Such a buzzkill for a game I’d be willing to spend money on.
Glitch on scoring level
Game seems cool however there is a bug requiring a fix on the Scoring level. It keeps repeating the level when I pass it. Hope to enjoy the game more once this is fixed. Thanks
Great game
Wonderful game, lots of content 100% worth a couple bucks
Balancing
Horrid balancing. The game is decided from the moment you hit start and whether or not the deck is going to back load 14 damage enemies at the end of the deck.
changed my review
the game is good but the tatourial level “scoring” tell you to do the wrong thing to you might have trouble progressing as if you do what it says you wont move on
Great game but…
Starting with the good, the artwork is great, controls simple but fluid, loads of scope for replay-ability… But the store being locked behind ads is fine, but after waiting 12 hours for it to refresh along with the 3 ads to re-roll the store i’m now getting a ‘No Ads Available’ error. My coins are full, i’m not able to spend for another 12 hours. I get that progression is slower if playing f2p but for it to be locked after around 30 mins of game time is absurd. Alternatively the amount of coins you can earn should be limited, not what you spend them on.
Great game, but..
A lot of it is pay to win. You can only get 250 max gold for free? Seriously? And there are only 2 heroes you can get without paying.
