Great App - Do your Part
This needs to be in the news and all social media !
Stop asking me to review your app after every item.
It’s in the title
Don’t use barcode
Best to take a picture of the product and not the bar code
Does not work
I have tried looking up dozens of products and it has found maybe one. I’d put up with the cheesy Canadianisms if it actually worked but no such luck.
Wow
Smart technology I’m not a very kind of guy, but this this is something different but beyond my level of expectation. It’s incredible and I’m so happy this is actually I think now and I hope it’s enough support to go on for eternity. Thanks.
I love this app
When I am confused like baking soda it say product of USA but Canadians make it here so that is cool for me.
Peu de produits canadiens et Québécois identifiés!
Pas au point pour le moment, pour cette application soi disant Québécoise; il faudra attendre encore plusieurs mois, voire un an avant qu’elle soit performante; je vous encourage à garder le cap.
Fake and wrong
It says Kellogs Raisin Bran is made in Canada but it’s made in American don’t trust this app
Not what it could be
Takes a long time to find product and then it just brings up errors not effective at all.
Failed bad on Strubs Pickles
Scanned Strubs dill pickles and Strubs bread and butter pickles. Maple scan said Canadian Company and Canadian product. I Purchased Stubs dill pickles and Stubs bread and butter, thinking CANADIAN… Not satisfied with the taste, I checked the label, ugh, PREPARED IN INDIA.
My go to app for groceries
Easy to use and very helpful. Thank you.
Maple Scam?
Hard to understand an app that is buy Canadian focused that runs a bunch of adds for US travel and products? Just a scam app to generate passive ad revenue!
Keeps crashing
When ever I got into the explore section, I click on a product for more details, the app crashes and closes. Every frustrating. I would like to explore Canadian products before going to the store and see where they are for sale near my location. We are very limited on stores where I’m at. It’s a neat idea if an app. I guess I’ll stick with reading the labels.
Works but slow
Maple scan works well consistently providing good information on item origins and Canadian content, but it is a bit slow when your in a busy grocery store.
Bothwell
Love this app oh by the way Bothwell Cheese is Canadian
App crashes
I search for something, click on it, the app crashes. Rinse and repeat.
Giving up on this one.
App gas Misidentified several products. The latest was a can of peanuts imported by JohnVince Foods in Toronto but identified as Smuckers Peanut Butter and that us no where near the actual product. Deleting app.
Helpful
Entertaining and very helpful
Compatibility
Would be useful if available for all iphones , not everyone has new iPhones capable of ios 17
Information inaccurate
Good overall app experience unfortunately several information is highly inaccurate including recommendations for products. I suspect it just uses and LLM to produce answers which is completely not helpful to the cause. For example, it would say Western Family Cola is not “Made in Canada” when it clearly is and recommend Coca-Cola and Pepsi as alternatives when they are simple “Bottled in Canada”.
Supporting Canadian companies
This app makes it so much easier to support Canadian companies. And when that isn’t possible I have info to decide which trading partners I want to support! Thank you.
Questionable results
Jiff peanut butter label says product of USA and app says made in Canada?
Dope!
Exactly what I needed - go Canada
Does not work very well
I tried this on several well known products and it only gave info on 2. Not a good performance
Great
I love this app easy to use. Take a picture. Get your information within seconds stay strong by Canadian.
Nope
It misidentified a number of Metro Irresistible brand items as Loblaws. Info did not match the label re country of origin.
Amazing app!
This has saved me time when I’m shopping as I try to buy mostly Canadian products or non USA products . It’s so useful !!
Still only crashes after scan after update.
All it does is crash. Yes I have the most updated version by today, March 10 2025
Impressive, hope it gets better as it gets going.
It hit a lot of times with pretty awesome accuracy, but will get better with use.
Only thing it does is crash
Absolutely useless app. Only good for crashing.
