Great app
Helps me understand the bible better and makes reading it fun
Don’t do it people
I initially did the three day trial and I signed up for the $12.99 packet. The app charged me $59.99 and try to do that repeatedly. I have reached out to Support and I’ve spoken to somebody named Gideon. He can’t fix the problem. I asked for a refund. So far, I have not received any of my money back. i’ve already reported them to Apple for a refund, and I’m gonna report them to FTC. Please be aware this is a scam for me. Update: i have started an IG page called Beware 742 with the subname Justice. I want to publish all of the correspondence between he and I this is legal. The app is operated by Gideon under the Pharah LLC in texas. If they still owe you money, you can easily find them there
Fun way to make Bible study a habit
This is fun and engaging. I don’t understand the reasoning for jumping around with Bible stories. I would like it better if it was a continuous narrative. I highly recommend it to get started making time daily for Bible study. It builds a healthy habit.
No one is checking their emails
I thought it was a kid game, but it is a bit confusing. It said that it would give a reminder before the free trial was over and just got charged the 50 before I got any type of reminder. Tried asking for a refund. But I guess no one is working. Wasted 50 on a “game” that didn’t even make much sense to me
Can’t Save Progress
I wanted to love this app and the little bit I was able to do, I did enjoy. However, every time I got out of the app and back in at a later time, it treated me as if I was brand new. After three times of this, I decided to cancel my free trial and decide not to move forward with my subscription.
Fun but missing verse cards
I love using this app daily. I have been enjoying the new features of being able to pray for people and and prayers. I’m starting to enjoy the Crusades more as well as the tournaments, but I am missing the verse cards. I enjoyed collecting them every morning when I open the app.
Feels both deceptive and manipulative
This app has a three day free trial, then you pay. It walks you through a slightly heavy-handed set up process asking you to commit to the app and then they give you the cost. It reminds me of so-called free Christian retreats at which there is heavy pressure to pay attendance fees once you are there.
Great!
Really enjoying the app-the knowledge. Gave 4 stars because I kind of wish they showed full scripture verses before the lessons to follow along better. I guess it’s also on me to do my own further studying too. Really enjoying, very accurate and eye opening!
Ascend Bible app
When I purchased this in the first place place and put my nickname on all was well for a few weeks, then the app started classing me a unknown, when I answer some questions right it tells me I’m wrong. this app keeps swapping from Selwonk to Unknown and it’s putting me off using it. These issues need to be put right. I would like to cancel my subscription and have a refund. I am cancelling my subscription,
Meh
It’s ok. I didn’t get at all what the ad looked to promise is only been a week so we’ll see if it gets better but currently I don’t think it’s worth the money
Lovely little game
This is a very enjoyable little Bible game. You learn as you go, and the graphics are beautiful. Highly recommended.
Not free
Was very excited as we signed up especially with the second screen stating that it was free but welcomes donations. Unfortunately we were unable to even do a single lesson without it requiring we pay for annual subscription. My daughter even asked, “why are the developers using God for money?” Tried just about every option to continue or spiritual path but almost every turn lead to a paywall. Super unfortunate. (Insert sad emoji)
Good but could be GREAT
Some glitches in the sign up screen. I ended up in a loop having to create my profile twice and was asked to choose a subscription after I had already processed the free trial through Apple Store. Transition screens after battles don’t let you skip when tapped. I really like the app content and battles. Could be better if the apps glitches and loops get fixed.

So much potential
It’s a great idea and if I felt like paying for it, I’m sure I’d find a lot of benefit from it learning about the bible and strengthening my relationship with God. However, it’s not free anymore like it’s advertised and the UI is not great. Everything takes a long time to load with no indication about how long it all takes. The lessons are good, but redeeming the rewards and seeing progress is confusing at first which it doesn’t need to be. The leaderboard UI doesn’t motivate me at all. The AI companion is good but nothing unique or special compared to any other AI app. I found it difficult to navigate towards different lessons and ‘my path’ has still not loaded so I have no idea what lesson plans are available. You can visit different books of the bible and work through those but the whole point of these apps are to create daily habits and motivation to keep learning and I think this app struggles with that. There are great resources available here but very limited habit building. Other apps provide much more in depth knowledge and insight, where this has the potential to keep me coming back and discovering more within routine and habit but it doesn’t do it for me, especially having to pay for it. I hope this improves, I’d love to use it but there are too many issues with the UI and slow loading of things that I don’t think it’s worth the price.
So far so good!
I really appreciate the art work and the way the lessons are structured… I will say today I recognized that a lot of the time, the wrong answers in the multiple choice questions are pretty negative. They say things like “defeat, abandonment, despair”, and then there’s the correct answers, whatever that may be. I’m not sure how I feel about that
Gotta pay
59.99 a year
Fun
I do have a good time reading through the lessons and it’s pretty addictive because it sounds and looks like a fun game anyone can take part in. I do need to keep my bible on hand though so I can actually follow the entire story so I’m not missing out on what I’m trying to learn. Sometimes the lessons skip around by a few verses so I have to fill in the blanks. Not a big deal, I am getting used to the app still.
It’s a great app but disgusting to charge others to hear the word of god.
Trying to make a profit on others trying to hear the word of god is absolutely disgusting.
A blessing
A wonderful learning experience
Not Christian
Christianity is not for sale!!!! And I'm here to filp some tables!!!!! When you start charging people for Jesus that's evil. The creator of this game is just trying to make $$$$ off of Christinas and we are seen as week and easily taken advantage of! Don't fall for this!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good but could be better
Overall I really like the app. I like the encouragement to read and pray. I also really enjoy the Bible trivia. I never even knew an app like this existed. However when it comes to the Bible lessons I wish it had a little more actual Bible reading because it can be hard to get the full context of the lesson from just one verse. As it is the lesson does a very brief summary with one verse and I’d just like a little bit more of the actual Bible to be apart of the lessons. It would help contextually and to get a feel for where things actually are in the Bible too. It is the inspired word of God after all. Also, it’s a minor thing, but I wish that it wouldn’t show the streak screen after every lesson completed and Bible trivia battle. It would be nice if it only showed up either when you first open the app or first complete something. It also would be neat if they involved memorizing the Bible a little bit too somehow where you could get extra gems or something maybe for memorizing a verse or for reviewing an already memorized verse. Just an idea!
had the potential
honestly the best bible app ever but then ofc the creators didn’t mske it free anymore pls bring it back to free😭🙏
Highly recommend
It’s more than a competitive trivia game—it’s designed to help you learn Scripture, remember what you learn, pray with others, and grow your little phoenix along the way. You can participate at your own pace without worrying about being the best player.
Love this! Hate that’s there’s not a free version
When I first downloaded the app, I thought I read something about accepting donations and keeping the app free and then I go through all the prompts and it’s asking for billing information and Cancel anytime! Sad to say I got beat and switched on a Bible app.
Improvements
I do enjoy the app so far but I was thinking there could be a few improvements! Could you add the actual Bible in this and the references to each lesson? Also, could you add a Bible memorization tab that would help folks memorize scripture?
A healthy addiction
I look forward to my daily lessons and trivia. I have learned and retained so much from this app. Truly a pleasure to engage.
DO NOT SUBSCRIBE, BAD FAITH APP WITH POOR INFORMATION
This app ropes you in with a free trial, said I had 7 days but charged me after 3 and will not refund me. I spent 20 minutes on this app and it’s a bloated mess of paraphrased scripture and a waste of time compared to traditional learning. Weird symbolism, teachings, and phrasing. Don’t waste your time or money
Good app but too expensive
I have enjoyed using the app for the brief time I’ve used it. However I will be cancelling after my free trial period as it is too expensive. Also, if you offered a month to month subscription I would consider keeping it and paying as many people cannot justify spending such a large sum at once. It’s the same price to feed my family for a whole week
Enjoyable and Engaging
This app has helped me dive into the Word every day and enjoy it more than just reading it on my own. Definitely worth the download!
Not Free
Nothing against it I do understand everything is not free but I don’t have money so it’s not for me I thought it seems interesting but I will just stick with my free Bible apps thank you anyway
Brilliant but….
I love this app, has really helped with my theology. However I am frequently putting the correct answer and getting told it is wrong, when presented with the correct answer it is the same as the answer I put down? Probably an easy fix and would be an easy 5 - Star without this problem :)
Encouraging, faith building and fun.
I absolutely love this app. It is worth the $29 annual membership I paid. I would have given it 5 stars and will later, after they have finished correcting a few errors. I am very impressed!
Do NOT waste money or time on this
I can’t believe I am having to write this about a BIBLE APP, let’s get one thing straight, I am a big follower of god and I apologies that I am needing to do this however.. I got the trial for the premium but when it came the time I wanted to cancel it, I have searched the entire app head to toe, no sign of a manage subscription option to cancel, in fact it still comes up “ try 3 days free”, “get 40% off premium” etc and as I also checked my subscriptions tab under my apple account - no sign of Active Acend subscription under this time along with my other active subscriptions, so after this you would assume okay, the subscription must have cancelled however 60+ Euro has now been taken out of my account to pay for that subscription. I want to make this clear, I do not want this subscription, make the cancel payment option very clear in the app for others and STOP TAKING MY MONEY!!!
Great fun way to learn The Word
Downloaded this to play around sometimes now I find myself spending long times in the app. And I’m learning a lot, and testing my knowledge often. A sharpened sword is always ready for battle.
Scam
I got 7 day trial and wanted to cancel it but the app kept prompting me to cancel it through App Store, but when I go into subscriptions nothing shows for Ascend. Ascend charged me £69.99, so I tried getting in contact with customer service for Ascend but it requires me to log in with my email address and it sends a verification code to an email address which I don’t even recognise making it impossible to get in contact with the customer support. I deleted the account and told bank to block further payments from this awful scam merchant.
