Great Game, Lots of Crashes
I love this game, it takes me back to the good ole days. Being an adult playing it does something for my childhood self. My only issue is that the game CONSTANTLY crashes. At this point it’s like every 5 minutes. It makes it hard when you’re trying to do a boss raid or party quest. My phone is all the way up to date and I have at least 15-20 extra GBs of storage. I’m not sure why the game crashes so much but it’s gotten to the point where I almost can’t even play the game bc it’s becoming so frequent. Love the game sososo much but it has got to be optimized a little more if possible! Tysm 🖤🖤🖤

Fix ios crashing
App crashes all the time on ios. Can’t do 2 pqs without crashing, can’t enter arena without crashing, can’t look at ranks without crashing.
Wish it was more F2P
Im genuinely enjoying this game and everything it has to offer. With that being said this game is very P2W, especially with the events they offer and chances for weapons/companions. If you do want to spend money then the price of everything is absurd, I wish there was a better incentive if you did spend money. I’ll continue to be F2P, but I just hope the events/game take pity on us poor people.
Love it
I missed this game so much, as it occupied a great portion of my teen years. Picked it up while waiting to see if I get into the MapleStory Classic closed beta, and it definitely scratches the itch a bit. Can’t wait to keep leveling!
The RNG in this game is garbage
Star force decrease chance below 15 stars? Come on now how can I get multiple decreases in a row at a 10% chance.. now I get to wait like two weeks to farm more star force scrolls and be stuck at this stage for a month.

Fun game, especially if you play(ed) MapleStory, but crashes CONSTANTLY. I’m playing on iPhone 12 and my game crashes every 5-10 minutes. Most of the community suspects memory leaks, especially with menus. Guild Menus in particular crash the game 80-95% of the time. Queuing for bosses or PQs is almost undoable because of it. Please fix!

i was okay with it crashing from time to time and after putting a few dollars into it i cannot fathom how i used to excuse this kind of execution. i'm embarrassed to have spent money on this game and im even more embarrassed each and every hour i give this excuse for a game a chance
Fun game ruined by guilds
I think the base content of maplestory idle RPG is addicting, but being kicked by two guilds has turned me away from the game. I logged into the game at least once daily to make sure I did all of the daily tasks, including build guild construction and help requests, but the guild leaders can still arbitrarily kick you. This is a problem for two reasons: one, guilds give you damage bonuses (without them you are too weak to beat certain missions. So being in a guild is largely not optional). And two, guilds are not free to create. So you are at the mercy of creepy players who ask you for your personal info to join the guild, only to maybe kick you the next day. The blame is fully on maplestory for making guilds so small and offering incentives to quickly recycle guild members (why take somebody who logs in every 2 days if you can get somebody who logs in every day? Or maybe 2-3 times a day). Exhausting
5 star level Game
I’ve seen a lot of idle games but none like this, This game helps me relax and it’s just super addicting I would say this game is underrated

Empty Calorie Nostalgia Bait Claw Machine
Game is fun if you want to have a 3 week long nostalgia romp and play extremely casually. Don’t bother trying to reach anything close to the top 10% of content free to play as they keep padding out the top end of this game arbitrarily on top of adding new systems further complicating the already extremely RNG based progression. TL;DR - decently fun nostalgia bait but don’t get attached to your leaderboard number unless you’re willing to whale this game

Worst optimization ever. Opening any in game menu is a gamble on whether you’ll crash or not. Also melts your battery. Not to mention the billion times they “mess up” content and have to refund ppl. It’s like a monthly thing at this point. Fun to play for nostalgia, but jeez, Nexon needs to get it together.

Fun for a little
Overall the gameplay is fun, you get some nostalgic MS vibes early on. The progression is pretty quick until it isn’t. After a certain point you are waiting on weekly resets to get resources to increase combat power to progress. You can bypass a lot of this if you want to throw and endless amount of money at the game but a lot of the whales that post in Reddit pretty much say it’s not worth it. Now for me I’m free to play and can hold my own against ptw for the most part. There are too many aspects in this game and different functions that make being free to play slower than the pay to win crowd. Nexon will always pander to the pay to win. There are decent events that seem to be constantly going on. Some are fun and some are terrible. The flag race was abysmal and a drag to do. You would even randomly not get credit for doing it. Colosseum events have been occurring twice a week and Nexon allows players to manipulate their combat powers in order to get into lower ranked matches just so they can re equip much stronger gear and be 2-3x stronger than everyone else. Nexon also doesn’t punish players for verbal abuse or questionable names. Overall the game is fun for a bit but starts to lose its luster as the progression comes to a complete halt for weeks at a time. If you want a game where you can just throw money at to get ahead this would be perfect for you. If you want to be free to play that’s fine and you can have fun and enjoy it. But you get throttled pretty hard later on. Corsair class is terrible compared to everyone else. I put 2 stars because Nexon doesn’t moderate this game the way they should. When you have concerns and open tickets you get ai slop responses about how it’s not their fault and also the fact that they allow people to manipulate their combat power to win at the colosseum.
P2W Gambling Game, No Skill Required, just money
Visuals are cute but it gets boring as you realise it doesn’t require much skill, and skill can never outweigh money in this game because it’s just a P2W and pretty much a gambling game. Scroll/SF success rates are rigged and seem to fail more often than they should.

Nexon has always been notoriously desperate to take as much money from their users as they can, and nothing is below them. The prices they charge for some of the stuff in this game is insane, and it’s practically unplayable without spending, and the longer you try the harder it becomes. Models like this should be a crime

Good mindless fun and scratches that MapleStory nostalgia itch, but the game crashes to the point of me truly not wanting to play. Very poorly optimized and you’ll probably be less frustrated just playing something else

2k summon tickets plus 35k gems for t2 ancient weapon nothing but garbage reds ontop of all this nonsense of items and stats not being calculated properly. Genuinly doubt that this game will last.
Have to be connect to wifi
Cannot create or join party for party quest/zakum without connecting to wifi? Even when i have stable connection, as long as not connected to wifi, i cant do any party quest or zakum.

This game had a far too long launch to gameplay time. There’s also a lot of user interface latency. Both are very bad experiences for players.
Was fun until it lasted
Our server used to have a decent atmosphere that’s friendly and fun, but then the whole behind the screen adjust on RNG and new PQs pretty much separated most of people all the way. And none of the drop rate seems to be actually working as if it was indicated. Most of the time it’s pray and hope for the best and also get stuck for a chapter for at least 1-2 weeks. It’s a shame really. This IP got so many people who came back just when waiting for the classic coming back and willing to spend money, but can’t even make it an enjoyable gâcha game for these people and encourage long term community development. Instead Nexon using it as a fast money grab and casino that’s pretty much a nobody can win situation for both f2p and p2w gamers. Waiting for refund process announcement for now. Hopefully it’s not a whole month wait. I don’t think I want to spend any more time on this.
