I likee
When I got the app wasn't sure if it would work as well as they say it would, but to my surprise it works quite well I've used it twice now and it's easy and fun.
Cannot find rooms I just scanned
I like the ease of scanning rooms but I cannot find them in the app. No purpose of scanning if I cannot find the rooms. 😠

Why do you have to pay for so many things
I don’t want to pay 8 $ to get PREMIUM. I just want to map my room
OK - does the job, albeit in fiddly fashion
£4/month is objectionable for an app that only *some* pros might use full-time. Will they find it compelling enough? A non-pro, I’ve just signed up for the paid plan, and will see.
Great for home gamer
I’ve had the app for years and I keep it because it just works and is handy to have for quickly gathering information for a room. I appreciate that they are maintaining the classic version because I don’t use it intensely and often enough that I would receive any benefit from having LIDAR version. And the price point is low enough, I just let it ride so it’s handy when I have a new project around the farm. Thank you!
No longer works
App no longer does what I need it to do.
Bad info
I like the app, it makes it much easier to map out a house. The FAQ on the website specifically calls out the Bosch GLM 30 as compatible so I bought one for the integration. Turns out it is in fact not compatible due to not having Bluetooth. No evidence of any version of that model having Bluetooth either.
Another Upsell Ripoff
Yet another app that tries to keep up selling you, first over to the Lidar app because I am using an IPhone, then when trying to add a symbol to the wall, another nag screen to upgrade to RoomScan Pro , which I already paid for. I am so frustrated with the new norm of app developers trying to bleed people with upcharges, I can’t even focus on the app and if it even works. As it turns out, it doesn’t work that well. The lidar feature is buggy. If we stopped allowing apps to implement whatever billing system they want, they will stop.
Good potential but needs work
Right off the bat, it’s a good app with the right features but it’s lacking some basic user interface options. Some basic re-designing would be great and would put this software on top.
Extremely useful tool
Limitless uses from DIY to technical professionals
Very difficult to export
File format to export are useless. The map does not shows measurements on the export file.
Why do I have to pay again
I paid for this app some time ago and did use it and was able to use all the features. It now appears I have to pay again ????????? Can this be restored please or a reason for the change please
Doesn’t work
It’s impossible to figure out and doesn’t work as described.
Great but needs more work
In some ways this is amazing. It is remarkably good at estimating dimensions and layouts. Quite astonishing actually. But once the layout is done there is not nearly enough control over the final output. The room labels are ugly, too big and in the wrong place and it does not seem possible to adjust them. And amazingly there is no option to annotate a plan with text, eg showing overall room sizes. You can scribble on it but that is not professional. So while it is technically amazing and a great tool for a basic plan, it needs more work to be really helpful. I hope it gets developed further and thanks to the developers for what they have achieved so far.
Wow!
This app is pretty amazing, but there is still plenty of room for improvement. •Autocorrect should also work at the floor level to align rooms and doors. •should be able to add windows during scan •you got to be quick in large spaces No option for stairs All in all a great new concept, but not ready for prime time just yet. Update 8/2021 This app got great so I bought the pro version. Something I have NEVER done before. With new updates I’d lost abilities I had paid for. Things as simple as adding doors and windows had been taken away from me. I was highly disappointed in what had become of this app. However the company quickly responded to this review and through the built in support in the app was able to fix this for me and restore my purchase.
Obsolete functions!
I worked on a single office plan for hours and never found a way to square the room corners or connect 10 rooms into a complete floor plan. I found no way to modify or add corners to rooms or merge rooms. I used Magicplan for years on many large buildings. This app is like going back to the dungeon of times past!!! I would love to see a better plan with real training videos.
Very good
Very good, some rooms a bit tricky but does what I need! Very happy
For me, more trouble than it's worth
If you have empty rooms, with no furniture, and regular door and windows, and all right angle corners it might work well. For my lived in home, with furniture, corner fireplaces, double doors, and archways, it was hard to get the walls placed. However the big problem for me was adjusting lengths of walls. Every adjustment I made skewed the shape of the room taking it further away from it's actual shape. I decided it would be easier just to use graph paper and a pencil.
I was starting to have fun with it but then it just became too difficult
I haven’t given up yet but I’m guessing it shouldn’t be taking me 3 hours to get even a rough idea.
Great app for room scanning
This app works great and scanning is easy. I had a little issue with going from floor to walls (user error) but after emailing developer he replied quickly and walked me through it.
Screw job
This is an ok product but it has frequent problems with complex non-rectangular rooms. Also they just jacked up the price from $8.49, which is ok to almost $40. A rip off. Do not buy!
Great app
Very useful a little funky getting used to it but handy after using it a couple of times
Keeps popping up purchase nag screen when editing room
I had used this on an iPhone 6+ for a while and stopped due to. The phone’s limitations. Now trying on an iPad Pro and when I try to edit a room I just added, it pops up a purchase. Screen and won’t let me go farther. I can only cancel out and can navigate around the app, but get the same problem whenever I try to edit that room.
iPhone 11 Pro
Scanned room and doors then photo to add pic froze up lost scans. Waste of time
Excellent app
Excellent app strongly recommended for beginners, and professionals.
Doesn’t draw room?
Failed to draw room
Not bad at all
This is a clever App. You can draw the layout of a room very quickly. Then correct the measurements with a Bluetooth connected DISTO digital tape. You can add doors and windows and move to next room and do the same until you have full layout. It would not be as detailed as a proper building surveying exercise, but with the added connected DISTO digi tape, it is a great app to get in draw, measure and get out if you don't want spend too much time in a place. You can then export the drawing and measurements as PDF. DWG would have been better, but have seen an option for that yet. All in all pretty good.
Great Tool - Problems & NO RESPONSE FOR SUPPORT
This is a fantastic tool but hasrecently been giving me real problems. I have paid for the pro version but the app does not recognize this and will allow me to use the pro features. THE APP SUPPORT TEAM HAS NOT RESPONDED TO MY INQUIRY ABOUT THIS. VERY FRUSTRATING.
Glitchy
Works great for awhile, then can’t scan another room without crashing every time.
Best app
So I have to remodel my room and this is the best app to use cause I can’t draw. If you need to redo or make a new house use this app
This did NOT work
This application did work at all.
How many square feet?
Love this app...easier than expected. Using it in an apartment building.
Unbrauchbar!
Ein viereckiger Raum ließ sich mit mehreren Methoden nicht vernünftig ausmessen. Nach mehreren Fehlversuchen hab ich die App entnervt gelöscht.
Latest update
Unable to open the app since latest update.
Wasn’t going to try...
....because of a lot of recent negative reviews. However, all of the measurement apps have a lot of negative reviews and I liked the way the developers here responded. So I went ahead. Measured and joined 2 rooms in approximately 20 minutes. Easy-Peasy. Love it! Read the instructions. Dig around a bit in settings. There are 2 places you need to hit to change all measurements from meters to feet or vice-versa- that’s the only moment of passing frustration I had. I would like to be able to measure windows and doors in the app, is the only thing I feel is missing so far- and there might be a way to do that I haven’t found yet. This is great! Get it.
Frustrating
Thought this could at least give me a rough outline of my very square, small and symmetrical home…apparently it’s a bunch of overlapping wiggly lines, and some extra corners are always added in that you can’t edit out because they’re so small, but they affect the angle of the room and thus entire home. Didn’t even use the whole free trial. Don’t know how this could help anyone unless they were looking for a headache.
Interesting app
Is it tape measure accurate? No, but the app does offer fairly accurate dimensions. Good enough for helping with estimating. It is helpful in tracking the shape of rooms, windows and doors. Helps this old man's memory! It isn't the easiest app to pick up and use, but the task is complex and the time saving is substantial. I look forward to future improvements.
No great at square rooms!
Not that great at square rooms.
Pay wall in bad place
If you moved your pay wall to the point where I could find out if I liked the app I might have subscribed, but where it is and how aggressively it pops up is absurd.
Still figuring it out
Not sure how to use it, but can see very real world possibilities
Paid for an app that uses LIDAR
I paid for pro because it was $8 a year and it would use lidar when I upgraded my device. Now that I have a new device with LIDAR they took away the lidar from the app and made a new app thats $48 a year. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE, THE MARKET WILL LEAD TO A NEW AND BETTER APP FROM TRUSTWORTHY COMPANIES SOON.
Great app
Great app easy to use
Too bad
Great idea for an app but in any non standard room (angled walls, different width sections etc) it just doesn't work. It tries to compensate for imprecise GPS or user error and just tried to make every room a perfect rectangle. My bay window type wall really messed it up.
Ok sometimes
Used this once and was fab simple to use etc, however since then I get stupid angles as soon as I input a measurement which I am then unable to correct . Shame as great idea
Amazing App to take Room Measurements
Easy and fun tool to take accurate room measurements.
Doesnt work and support is nonexistent
I tried using the app, it kept having issues. So I reached out to their support that was “online” no one responded after hours. Days later, still no response.
Easy to use
This app is easy to use but does great job! Good to have it!
Inaccurate rubbish
Adjusting it's wild guesses is nigh on impossible. Autocorrect just adds unwanted features I had just deleted. Odd shaped rooms with more than 4 walls and multiple openings confuse it. Should be able to convert openings to windows, not just doors. A waste of money in its current form.
Easier DIY
Nice app. Easy to use. Seems pretty accurate.
