Scalable for large projects
Bren and Brett and the whole team have been incredible to work with through our large floorplan audit. They reached out to ensure we had everything we needed, answered all of our questions and problems with real solutions and got our project up and running.
No longer good option
Check the date on the reviews. Prior to 2026 it was called Canvas.io and was a great product. This is no longer the case. Do not recommend.
Great app needs improvement
So far the app has worked great! However an update I would like to see is Apple Pencil support. When trying to start measurements using your finger it doesn’t get it exactly. I tried using my Apple Pencil but it just moves the entire scan and doesn’t allow for dotting the starting point.
Meh
Before being rebranded Twindo it was a great app. Now it crashes all the time, and the .obj files are no longer accessible when you manage to scan without a problem

Empowers me in my business
I started using Canvas to scan spaces to save time in the beginning of a project then later realized it allowed me to measure spaces while pregnant. It’s empowering and I can see Canvas gaining more popularity in the near future!
Crazy price per SF
Get Scaniverse it does the same but for free then convert your obj to .skp for free online. Twindo quoted my scan $900 to be converted to a .skp file ( ridiculous )
Great interior survey app for the Structure Sensor.
Simple, clean UI and project/scan management. The measurement facility within the scan/model preview is super accurate. Navigating vertically within in a preview space could be improved. You can order, upload and monitor progress of the scan cloud processing service within the app. For interior architectural surveys (and some exterior details, depending on lighting conditions) this is a fantastic tool alongside other survey methods. Runs smoothly on my iPad Pro. Love it
Low Quality Render
I much prefer the previous version Canvas lite. The render was so clear and now none of my assistants can download it as it’s no longer available. Bummer. I’ll probably have to find another app that has more clarity visually with the 3d render.

Exceeds expectations
This app has quickly become an integral part of our small remodel business. Completely sold after using the app for a couple jobs. Huge time saver for bidding and designing a job. The Chief Architect files from Canvas are ready to go, with accurate measurements and small details. The accuracy is impressive.
Stopped working
Used this app as a subscriber for along time, but after an IOS updated, it stopped working. A coworker also experienced the exact same issue.. Try to contact customer service and they were not helpful at all and said it was my phone.. Been using a competing scanner since with no problem.
Stupidly expensive for a basic scan
The prices on this app are ridiculous compared to absolute cons just build it to the floorplan with the app
Pricey
Love the capabilities and the interface is very user friendly. Why can’t you have some cheaper export format options all the way down to .pdf or a smooth 3D walkthrough
I have not used this product yet, but I can’t wait.
I’ve been sold on the product. Not because I have used it (I know.. it’s hard to review what you have not used) but hear me out. The dedication of the development team and even the CEO on a venture like this is amazing. I was genuinely surprised to see very detailed and personal responses to negative feedback, (even from the CEO). This alone showed me a level of care to execute a product that will go beyond! I look forward to learning more on how to use this application, I look forward to the team helping me use it for the success of my business 💪.
Deceiving Billing Practices
Will not allow you option to remove Apple billing information on the app and continues to charge. Does not show Apple billing on the website. Bills on cc as “canva” which is deceiving as that not the name in any case. I don’t know why I’m forced to leave any star.
Accuracy is disappointing
Nice app but end result accuracy is disappointing . Wish a higher density point cloud was available. I’d slow down scanning if it meant a better result

So far so good I just barely scanned and uploaded. We’ll see what we get with me. Get the plans or they give me a call for any different information that they need.

Expensive! 1000 sqft = $250
Simple to use. However, scanning my house and converting it into a file is $250! Too expensive to consider. I could hire someone for $25/hr for 10 hours and get a heck of a lot more value.
There are other options much less costly.
At $.15 /sqft you are looking at hundreds of dollars to convert the exterior wall 1st floor only scan of a 40x50 rectangular 2000 sqft house into 3D, 4 walls only, not including the windows, doors, roof, undesirable items not moved, or Soffit. Much faster and cheaper to get a hand held Pythagorean laser measure and transfer key points directly into Sketchup using an iPad. Leica handheld is incredibly accurate. Also, a photogrammetry point cloud is an option that includes images of the surface in the 3D model. Ridiculous cost!
Amazing but Not Exactly Free
Canvas does an amazing job of scanning a room. You can view the scan in the app but it’s small on a phone. Getting a file that can be used outside of the app seems to start about $30 for a room (20x16), and it’s per square foot. So give it a try, getting the file is optional.

Won’t upload
I’ve had my iPad open to the app for DAYS and it won’t finish uploading the file for colorization. Overall a great app but it won’t help if I can’t get the file to upload.
Love this app
I have been using the Canvas app for several years, starting with the lens device originally and later using the IPad with lidar. Scans rooms and turns them into SketchUp models within about 2 days. Very impressive tool for clients and makes designing in 3d so easy.
misleading
So tired of apps that let you put in So much time, just to ask for money to save your work. Be very clear up front. It so obvious you’re hoping people pay just to avoid losing their work. Dishonest at best
Just not accurate enough
I love the idea of this app, and have ordered the CAD files a few times now to try it out along with my actual site measurements. In my world of kitchen & bath design, I need accurate measurements and the CAD drawings aren’t accurate enough for me to rely on. For now I’ll just use the scans for general overall measurements, but I probably won’t be purchasing the CAD files again unless the accuracy improves over time.

Whenever I try to share .obj files, it only shows up as a text file to the recipient?

No freedom to use data the way I want. Locked behind a paywall. Developers force uses down path when open formats are all we need
Cost.
It’s not a bad program at all but you really can’t do anything but scan your house or what ever then get a list of formats that charge a top competitive business prices per square foot. Sure looked like a free app and technically is is but useless without spending money lol. Just my opinion.
