Most fun since Chrono Trigger on SNES!!!!
This game is clearly leaning into the nostalgia of the SNES RPG era, and I’m here for it. The gameplay is smooth, the story is compelling, and the nods to cult classics are amazing! Just one question - when can we get the DLC on the App Store? Please!

Great game! Really wish I could play my music while playing it though, music stops when playing the game… I would love if I could have my music playing while I hear the sfx from the game 🙏
Configuration mini gourmande
Le jeu est jolie, l’histoire semble intéressante le systèmes de jeu est assez original, mais… seulement 2 étoiles car il s’avère qu’il faut a minima 8Go de ram après 2h de jeu sans quoi le jeu bug et on se fait éjecter systématiquement. Le plus frustrant est qu’il s’agit d’un jeu payant ou la configuration minimum décrite sur la page d’accueil précise qu’un iPad 9ème génération de 4Go est ok. Alors oui les dev/admin après avoir été contacter m’ont donner un lien pour le faire rembourser du prix du jeu… bref pas très clean cette affaire. Pour ma part très frustré et blazé.
Not the greatest
I purchased this game and have had a little fun with it, the art is pretty and I love the music and the cool story, but ultimately I am dropping it because the fights (turn based) are very redundant, long, and boring. It’s the same characters making the same moves over and over. You can’t hardly explore the game without running into an enemy that will cause you to have a long boring fight. Maybe this game just isn’t for me.
Amazing game
This game is absolutely AMAZING!! With how much story and gameplay there is, it wouldn’t be just $10. I’d easily pay 30-40 just for this game with how much content it gives us!! I used to play this game on my console before it got taken off, so I never got to experience a lot of the things I can/have now with it on my phone, and I never thought it’d be this big. THANK YOU DEVS FOR MAKING THIS GAME 💜💜

Sea of Stars on mobile is amazing. Touch controls are very simple and comfortable and the controller support makes this that much better. I’m loving the experience and hope to see DLC content in either a future update or in app purchase. Totally recommend and hope to see the full experience come to life on mobile. Thank you!!!!
I keep losing my progress
I am playing this on my phone, sometimes i pause the game and switch to other apps spend sometime on something and then return to play the game but since the save feature is trashy i lose all my progress and need to repeat same battles and same story that is very annoying and i am really regretting this purchase.

Merveilleux jusqu’à…
Ach. Malheureusement je n’ai pas pu aller à terme. Arcade. Qui n‘en finit pas. Je déteste ça. C’est hyper frustrant, parce que pour le reste, le jeu est superbement équilibré, attachant - et graphiquement très abouti. J’ai fini par abandonner. Note dégradée à 2. C‘est très dommage. Je suppose que ça plaira plus à plus hard gamer que moi (qui aime surtout les histoire et un game play assez plan-plan), à qui un brin d’arcade ne déplaira pas. Quant à moi je jette l’éponge. Vais me regarder une video pour voir comment le jeu se finit vraiment. Très très déçu sur le moment. Je relativise ensuite.
Excellent Game, Missing Content
The game is excellent. It captures the feel of the games that inspired it like Chrono Trigger while still doing new things so it’s not just a boring retread of successful ideas. It seems to be missing the Throes of the Watchmaker scenario despite otherwise being on par with the pc and console release. It’s unclear if there is an issue keeping it from starting or if it’s not part of the mobile release but the latter seems unlikely in light of how it otherwise matches other versions. Either way it needs to be addressed.

I love this game it’s art it’s fighting style the story everything! Please don’t stop keep it up this game was amazing :), and sad you know why I didn’t think yall would push to get their but it’s ah roller coaster of emotions. This game has a special place.
Fantastic game but Crashes often
Love the game but I have had to stop playing it because my load is stuck on a mission that keeps crashing and don’t want to have to start over. On the Blue crystal mission in the lab my game can not progress without crashing, also crashes after the death stare attack during the dweller of dread
クリアできました
ところどころバグはありましたがなんとかクリアすることができました。寄り道をあまりしなかったので思ったより早めにクリアできた気がします。 値段を考えると星5でも良いとは思うけど、途中で移動が面倒になったこと、日本語訳に変なところがあって話がよく分からないところがあったので星4にします。 楽しかったです。

I just got the backbone pro, and tried to add this game and it told me there was no controller support 😢
Great game but one issue
Graphical glitch in the abandoned wizards lab. Takes a few minutes but it occurs and doesn’t cause a crash. Never had issues before this point in the game. Under accessibility in device settings, throttling frame rate to 60 fps allows me to get a few more minutes into the blue wing of the abandoned wizards lab but still having the issue.
Obra maestra del Pixelart
Sea of Stars es uno de los mejores juegos Pixelart que he jugado nunca. El juego se siente vivo, te envuelven sus escenarios con el arte, los colores y la iluminación. Un detalle “tonto” que me sorprendió y habla muy bien del nivel de detalle es que en una cueva habían unas columnas verdes de cristal, al pasar por detrás los personajes no solo se difuminaron sutilmente, también se distorsionó su forma y se iluminaron del mismo color, tal como sucede con el vidrio. Lo que hicieron con pixeles me parece imposible de superar… Además la historia es increíble, nunca sabes qué esperar en la próxima misión y tiene bastante contenido. Llevo ya 22h de juego pero creo que no he superado ni el 50% de la historia. Y la música, la música es INCREIBLE. Súbanle el volumen al máximo porque se lo merece. Recuerdo entrar a la Isla Espectral, ir a la taberna del pueblo, y quedarme como 15 min escuchando cada una de las 10 canciones que tocó la banda de los piratas. Simplemente me parecía descortés con los desarrolladores no quedarme a escuchar. Gracias por este juego y terminando esta merecida reseña seguiré disfrutando la obra maestra que nos regalaron :)
Crashes at Everest’s Landing
Love the game so far. After the trial, thr game wont get past Everest’s landing without crashing. I have redownloaded the game twice and played with no other apps open on IOS. Very frustrated having paid for a game that I can only play the beginning of…
Love this game!!
Original I had bought this on my Switch and loved it so much that I figured I’d buy it on my phone as well since I never take my Switch with me. The only reason I’m giving the version 4 starts is because there is 0 graphics controls and my iPhone 16 pro max is better than my Switch and the Switch version looked better. Second the game needs more quick saves because there has been a few times where I left the game closed for too long only to come back and lose 30-45 minutes of work.. but still highly recommend this game. One of the better stories to come out as of late.

Nice game, but I have a toddler. I can appreciate the value of having manual save points, especially in this kind of game, but it would be nice to have it included as an accessibility feature. As it is, I’ll have to wait a few years to play. I can’t keep going over the same ground like this.
TLC
Game keeps crashing after the The Elder Mist Trails going to the Evermist landing 😭 I was having fun I even deleted my save and played up to that part just in case something was up with my file. Even deleted and redownloaded the game….
Controls and saving
Game is amazing 10/10. But you need to be able to touch anywhere on the screen to move the characters. Left and right half of the screen don’t work on this type of game. Even if you make an option to swap it that won’t solve the problem. It’s an easy fix that the devs absolutely can do with little effort. This is the main issue but also you need to make the game auto save all the time. In a game like this you easily lose a half hour of playtime if you get interrupted because the game closes if minimized even briefly. Anyway this is one of my favorite games and the 3rd time I’ve bought it, so please please fix these extremely minor yet extremely major qol issues. Love you guys
Amazing JRPG throwback
This game first caught my attention back in 2020. I was hoping it would come to IOS. 90% through and I just love it. While it may not have the strong storyline of Chrono Trigger, it’s still a nice storyline overall. I love that they removed a lot of the little hurdles that made old school JRPGs hard, and streamlined everything else. Highly recommend to everyone who love the genre. Hoping we get a port of The Messenger now 😭

Bad controls
The controls are so annoying, it needs to be more like Stardew valley or animal crossing controls as the little circle is inconvenient and moving around takes forever.
Visual and control
There should be more control system , the current one is not my favourite, Stardew valley and terraria allow different type of control, Stardew touch based control is my favourite. The blue barriers is quite bright and really distracting in darker scene, it can contrast with warmer scenes. This makes viewing the art not fully immersive. I feel like simply the border black will be better. The screen not being full in my iPad is quite annoying. And the setting being in the art is taking up screen, putting it on the empty area would be better, the should be an option to make the setting three dash circle smaller or move it up entirely. There should be option to zoom in and out of the screen though not necessarily
nice game
save friend and got the true ending! The 30-hour gameplay experience was an absolute blast! The only minor drawback is that after finishing the true ending, the game gets stuck on the final 'FIN' screen, and I didn't get the hammer. Hope this gets fixed soon!

So much lost progress
It’s a wonderful game that’s extremely well crafted. But that’s not the reason I’m writing this review. I’ve just completed what I need to do for the red crystal (it’s for the pirates quest) and whenever I leave the round thing colorful static comes up and the game freezes. And it’s honestly horrible. Because it happens every time and always after I finish the level. I have no idea why it’s happening, but it’s really killing the mood.

Total crash
After winning the Mists battle and trying to proceed to the next section, it just crashes and I’m back on my desktop. Tried it twice from the beginning. Shame….was enjoying it, now I’ll just request a refund
Wonderful, except one bug
As someone who doesn't game very much, I'm enjoying this. Graphics are beautiful, storyline is enjoyable and challenging without being tedious or repetitive. Overall a very good game. My only complaint is I can only play in-game audio. Almost every other app/game I have used gives me the option to play external music/audio books while playing the game, as I don't always want to listen to the game music, but this overrides any audio besides the games, even if the in game volume is all the way down or the phones silent mode is on/off.

Very fun but Glitch is completely halting progress
I’m at the Botanical Horrors fight and no matter what, the screen glitches. I’ve seen that the devs know about it but the work around they suggested doesn’t work. I will change my rating accordingly when this is fixed but until then, I have to give it a lower rating.

What a great game. Played it all the way through on my phone and loved every second of it. I went deep, got the true ending and everything. Wish I could play it again for the first time!

Great port, please add 1-handed support
I adore this game & played it on steam. Quickly bought the port and am adoring it. Very elegant controls. My one request would be to allow either side of the screen to be touched in order to select/dragged to use the d-pad; regardless of what side of the screen you touch. I know many other mobile ports that allow for this. Or perhaps a way to switch sides in the menu? I recently suffered a hand injury and cannot play video games with a regular controller until I heal. I am so grateful I can play SoS on mobile now, as it is actually a platform I can play video games on while my arm is injured. But it would be so much easier for me if I didn’t have to reach across either side of the screen every time I wanted to move/talk/jump/attack. A small inconvenience that I can handle, but it would surely increase accessibility for me and for many others with more permanent limb differences. Thank you for another platform to play this incredible game on!!
