What people like
- Simple to use for deductions
- Makes tax management secure

What they complain about
- Login loop traps you with missing codes
- Requires old phone for verification codes
- Support is slow and unhelpful
- Only shows NSW imagery nationwide
Great app
I love it, it’s simple to use and great for logging my deductions throughout the year and ensures I am tax ready
Useless App
Claims to help process returns faster but in reality. Totally the opposite. Says returns processed in 10 “ working days” but months later ( 2 months +) still waiting. No updates no follow ups And ato doesn’t answer phone calls to respond to queries either. Doing thru tax agents takes 2 weeks. This app is useless
It’s good
Good for checking stuff but can be improved.
Very bad design
Developer don’t care about difficulty people can’t understand
NSW centric
Could the federal government actually recognise there are other states out there beside NSW? Why does it always use NSW imagery, like this app?
Worst app ever
I’ve tried to sign in and I can’t. I got change my password and It’s not works..
Tricky set-up but good once connected
Set up from the Services Australia app hit a wall of multi-website steps with codes and log-ins. But persevere and the app makes tax management simple and secure.
About as functional as the My Maccas app
Govo pops out some poorly optimised app (Not surprising) you go to upload receipts when tge ATO audits you and they take your money anyway?. Great
Need Dark Version icon!!!!
It’s been a year already, where’s the dark icon????????
Digital inequality and discrimination
The decision to only support phones with newer iOSs is disappointing and feels unfair to users who cannot afford to upgrade their devices regularly. Not everyone has the financial ability to purchase the latest phone, so restricting access based on device age can disproportionately exclude lower-income users. While updating technology is understandable, developers should consider supporting older devices for longer so affordability doesn’t become a barrier to accessing the app. Overall, the app risks contributing to the digital divide rather than providing an inclusive experience for all users.
Can’t login without app code when trying to login to the app???
I deleted the app yesterday and redownloaded it today and it’s saying I have a different device that I must get a verification code from inside the ATO app. But how can I get the code if I can’t even log in! What device is it recognising? The code is not sent into desktop ATO. I just want to use the tax deduction tool 💀
…
Just doing my part.
Infuriating
To register my new phone, the app needs to send a code to my old phone. Who keeps their old phone these days? So, I have to call the call centre, which was of course a new low-lever tedium.
No good
Absolutely useless
Absolute garbage
This has to be the most garbage app I’ve ever used, sold my previous devise and now I can’t login. Try to call them and they are apparently always too busy. Horrible horrible system
Very poor architecture for authentication
Requiring access to an old install of the app you last used a year ago to get a notification on a phone you don’t have when you have already used a PassKey to sign in, and have other options for 2FA is a very bad design decision. Especially when the solution is “call us and spend 20min on the phone for the tech team to take 7-10 working days to action the ticket.” Just a terrible design all around. How did that get through a design authority??
Unable to login,
For god sake can you test at least once what you have built? It’s a joke! When I tired login to it asked to register my device, and to register I need to provide a verification code which I cannot provide because I’m not logged in. This is a dead loop ! Paying tax is too hard in this country !
Typical
Absolutely useless
