Great newly formed tool
I’m really enjoying… Go in the hopes that it is actually keeping everything private since I’m not sure there’s anyway we can truly know. It’s in its early stages, of course so it doesn’t work on every website or every inquiry which is to be expected but once it’s around in the kings are worked out it’s gonna be really fabulous. Thank you to all those who cared enough about our privacy to create it.

Good app but…
Finally, an app that protects you. I hate Google, this is better. I like DuckDuckGo. You should add video generation, where you can AI-generate a video, let the AI turn your image into a video or let the AI edit your video. That would be cool. And the AI knows how to spell when generating images. Usually, most AIs actually don’t know how to spell when generating images. Like, they’ll be either writing random letters, numbers and symbols or writing things that absolutely do NOT exist.

Great for most things, but one day animated GIFs stopped playing back and never worked again
I don't really understand why this happened, but it's a massive nuisance in an otherwise very good application. Please fix this. It's been months.
Degradation in performance
Recently I have found the back button arrow bottom of screen not paging back reliably. It stays on the page you’re on but tries to page back. Sometimes takes you back to home page with the link completely lost. Sometimes works as expected. I am on iPhone 26.6
Go Zero AI for 5 stars
AI, in it’s current iteration, is not something I want as a feature in my browser. I lost a little respect when you added it as a feature. AI as it is, is problematic at best. Stop trying to force AI on us. It’s not what we want. I was able to disable it in the settings -its the only reason I didn’t delete it immediately.

Updates are… bad
There is always a problem updating the app… and it wants to update daily.There is no place to contact anyone. Thats why I am commenting here.

Could be better
The tab function and search functions between ChatGPT and search are frustrating. Also being prompted to fire button when trying to search from another app like instagram is soooo dumb, figure out that a new window should open wfrom search and not AI when coming from other platforms

I tried over and over to delete my AI chats hit the botton and showed chats gone they come right back please be careful my data still hanging around, emailed support they reply not a problem with my data can’t delete, was go now even free not worth it,
My experience with Duck.Duck.go as my default browser.
So far DuckDuckGo has been sufficient for my typical browsing. But, getting to the “DARK WEB” has been a challenge, so far. But, I’m In the hopes that “they” will soon make the app related tools available for the casual user.

Better than Google
Ok, it might not actually be better than google, but it is good and easier to search without using ai. Plus we know this corporation isn’t donating millions to a US administration that does not align with our values.

Took a while to work out how to navigate it but works well.
Constantly freezing
Webpage freezes constantly, particularly Reddit, to the point where you have to fully close and reopen the app to be able to refresh or exit the webpage

I gave it only 3 stars because it says “Try for free” but won’t tell you how much the “ask AI” feature will cost after the trial period.

Terrible Battery Drain & Overheating
I’ve deleted this app today after using it for less than an hour. My phone started overheating and the back was nearly on fire when I checked the battery usage. It was entirely this app that caused the problem according to the battery usage 30% was down to this app in one hour. Absolutely shocking.
Only 2 Complaints
Love this browser. It’s exactly what you want a privacy browser to be. Only complaints are its incessant need to be updated (multiple times a month) and it has zero extensions. Otherwise it’s a great product.
Search engine privacy good but accuracy awful
I have used DDG for many years. The last year I have been getting more and more frustrated. 7/10 times it completely misses the point and shows me multiple results of what it THINKS I want to know based on one or two words in the sentence. I thought it was just search engines and it was driving me nuts. Today I reluctantly tried Google and it found what I was looking for immediately. Apologies, hope you guys look into this - if it is fixed I will come back.
Repeated crashes on iPhone
Whereas I like the apps and find it easy to use, functional, it repeatedly crashes and I have to delete it and reinstall. I’m using an iPhone 16 Plus and IOS 26.6.1.

Once it updated it would not search or find any web pages, have always been happy with this, but now its next to useless at times
Results are meh
I feel like the search just doesn’t give me good results. I try to be very specific with my questions but I get such weird results. Then I used another search engine with the same question and I get what I’m looking for… It was annoying because I like knowing that what I am searching is not being sold. It just wasn’t worth the hassle of going back and forth when I couldn’t get the results I needed. Probably human error but not sure how I get the results I am looking for on other search engines if that’s the case?

Not Needed or Wanted
Simple message: stop offering me this “optional” update. I don’t want it or need it. I’ve turned the relevant options off in Settings but, the now pointless, reminder still pops up.
Updates pushing AI
Constant updates pushing the AI screen. It’s getting messy and a pain when trying to look up something as simple as a bus timetable.
2 Steps Forward, 3 Steps Back
You can block only 5 websites/domains from search results; that's stupid. Folks are sick-and-tired of the same 30-50 Fortune 500 companies spamming results with trash products... page after page.

Just get it and shed the tracking of all of the companies that want your data. Also duck.ai is amazing and free.
Useless search engine
It can’t even find a website when I type the name of the site.
Search with NoAI DDGo
Please add the option to search using your own DuckDuckGO no AI site. I have been using that as my main engine as soon as you announced it. Otherwise the browser is decent and does protect you the dodgy ads and malicious sites with a ton of tracking.

Overall good
Great google replacement if you want more privacy. The only downside is that it can’t scan images and find pictures that are similar.
Yet another pseudo browser. Don't trust it.
There's no VPN in it! DuckDuckGo creates your profile based on your favorites and previously visited sites. Even if you destroy all the data of the sites you visited before closing it, the next time you start the browser, you are guaranteed to receive ads according to your interest history. Privacy is not a hallmark of this browser. The browser loads all advertising trackers, especially Russian ones (Yandex and others). Deceivers!
Interfering newer feature
The browser overall is nice but I am not a fan of a newer feature that has been added. The search bar automatically opening upon returning to the app is very annoying. Especially while having numerous tabs open. Please either allow users to turn that option off or remove it all together.
