Unuseable
This browser is virtually unusable. The phone screen will time out before the webpage will load, and when you wake the phone back up, it wipes the webpage back to the home screen. This is not the way.

Good, but one problem.
Basically, when I click off of / exit the app, all the history is wiped and I go to a new session. This is difficult, and the user should be given the option to disable this security feature.

Great privacy protection and super simple . Additional options make this app even more secure TOR is such an incredible Group of freedom and right to browse w/o censorship and suppression of content by government agencies that don’t want controlled freedom of speech and so on…

Excellent tool, however a recent bug was introduced causing the app to shift to the background when a search is executed.
Unreliable
It is a shame this app does not work consistently as it is the one the tor project recommends for iOS. The connection to Orbot takes forever if it works at all, when it does it will fail again quickly needing to reconnect. Then fail AGAIN. Every now and again you end up in a permissions loop, even though it’s been granted. It is a shame, if they fix it I will happily continue to use it but right now it is not really fit for purpose

This is great it works just like tor on a computer I just have one small problem. Whenever you go out of the app or even just turn off your phone it resets the entire app. If it’s a feature I really don’t understand it but if it’s not I’d like that changed pls and thx!
Bookmarking Still Broken!!!
Creating bookmarks is extremely time consuming and touchy. Love the new import/export feature, but lease fix bookmark adding! Also, it's too easy to hit the "open in your default browser" button when trying to work around the clunky bookmark process. Move the default browser button away from the "copy" button!!!!

Probably the worst Browser i seen i mean dont get me wrong the security is nice but its literally the WEBSITES that pop up i seen multiple Illegal content websites and im completely disgusted and disturbed thanks for ruining my day.

Well done. Getting rid of Orbot is a great step forward. Tor Browser now works again. Thank you for listening. Suggestion - Add a ‘clear browser data’ button to the ribbon bar, alongside the ‘new circuit’ button. I like to clear all data before moving on to the next site, just to be sure there are no cookies lurking around and tracking me.

of the onion browser, mike says: "Onion Browser is the original free and open-source Tor-powered web browser for iOS." great. exactly what we want. of orbot, the less-than-venerable wiki says: "It allows traffic from apps such as web browsers, email clients, map programs, and others to be routed via the Tor network." so what have i missed? aren't they the same thing? but wait! there's more... the appstore tells us: "Orbot is the original free and open-source Tor-powered VPN for iOS and macOS." a tad more meaningful, given that "vpn" is mentioned nowhere in the wiki article. so, i may be wrong (it wouldn't be the first time) and if i am, i'll gratefully welcome you correcting me, but what i see is here is enforced use of a vpn. ie a free, oversubscribed, woefully inferior one, as opposed to the quality account-provided vpn services you can readily expect the kind of people installing your onion browser to already be using. in doing so, you've: a) crippled everyone's network performance b) summarily dismissed everyone who thinks "in a world of online tracking and surveillance, you get what you pay for" i'm pressed to think of a single reason you'd impose this nonsense on everyone. dumbing down, maybe? in any case, making apps interdependent on one another at this level is ridiculous. if you give your user base no choice but to use this "TOR-powered VPN", then at least embed it in the app. (that might actually be even more disingenuous, but neither approach will bring back your disgruntled users.) i remain highly appreciative of your excellent work and incredible skill, but i'll no longer be using your app as it stands.

Reaches 50% of connection attempt (loads relay descriptors), then re-starts connection attempt. Gemini AI app attributes this to Apple's memory limits in iOS 26.2.1. In the most recent update, bridge support (Snowflake and obfs4) for iPad and iPhone appears to have been removed.

All fine until Orbot
The addition of Orbot has rendered this application unusable for me, just creates multiple conflicts and disables internet browsing on iPad. You know the old adage ‘if it ain’t broke don’t fix it’? Well it wasn’t broke, they ‘fixed it’, my oh my did they fix it… unusable.
Sad day
Worked for about 3 years.. until the last couple of days. Won’t load anything. I tried to reinstall with the same outcome. Not sure if it’s Orbot or OB. Keeps asking me to grant access, which I do, then it will try to reconnect, which it does.. nothing loads and if I close out, it just keeps asking and not working. Such a shame. Back to desktop for me.

Keeps bouncing back and forth with Orbot, never connected long enough to actually complete a search query. Too much user friction and frustration to be useful. Deleted.

Stopped working
Used this a fair bit but the new Orbot VPN requirement basically makes it impossible to use as it only connects like 10% of the time…

It is not as fast as some other apps but it’s the most private browser you can find. I am currently in a lawsuit I filed against the sheriffs dept. in my county. They went to look for anything I posted online and they found nothing. No Google nothing. The amount of daft they found on the other plaintiffs was astounding. Google knows where you are at what times and even hears your conversations. They know where you work your phone contacts how often you call them everything. I didn’t like that invasion of privacy. I use this with express VPN to double my VPN.
