Miss previous app
I strongly dislike this version of the mobile app. Prefer previous app, I do understand change is necessary especially with security continuously improving, this app is very jumpy and difficult to scroll through.

Can’t even access bank statement, but you can access the inserts. Dumb.
Different
In the beginning of the change I didn’t like the app but I kept telling myself that is not bad just different. As I have told make employees in the past about mergers that it is not wrong or right just different. Now that I am getting more familiar with it I am enjoying it more.
Not very good
Constant syncing problem with exterior account. When I can get it to sync it doesn’t last. Very frustrating.

It’s always down
It seems like the app is always down when I most need it. The description should read “24 hour mobile banking sometimes”. I was hoping they would have gotten their act together with the new app but it seems to be down more than the original.
Nice App
Love the new options that it offers. Really great for developing a budget. However, I really wish it would show Check numbers so you wouldn’t have to go look at the Check image to see the check numbers.

Whom ever developed this new app to replace the old app should no longer develop apps for a living.

Regression from previous app
Hancock Whitney’s app history is unimpressive. The old app was pretty basic, but at least it loaded promptly. The bank launched a new app in 2025 and it was riddled with bugs, so they took it down, reverted to the old app, and even called some customers to apologize. They relaunched this new app in 2026 and it’s much worse than the old app. It takes a while to load account data and sometimes crashes. It occasionally with open my account view but say it doesn’t sync. Imagine my frustration when all I want to do is quickly log in and see my balance. It may drive me to finally close this account and consolidate at another bank I use with better technology.
Terrible update
Excellent app until last update. The Pay Bills section is now more difficult to use. Can't see what the history for an individual payee - it all blends into one. And under "Manage Payees" you cannot edit your payees, only delete them. That's not what I want to do. The older version of the app was much easier and functional.
It makes my life easier
I used to have to drive to the bank and wait in line to deposit checks. Today I sat at home and deposited 3 checks in about 5 minutes. What a difference the app makes.

Blown away how the new HWB App works. So much specific information and breakdown in so many areas of spending and track deposits and spending side by side. Thank you. Opens a new way of my thought process of my monthly spending.
Hancock Whitney should be ashamed of this app
This app is absolute trash!! it is constantly disconnecting from external accounts and even disconnecting from Hancock Whitney so I can't use it for anything!! you guys need to get some new developers!! good idea extremely poorly executed!!

I’m not the best at utilizing computers, but I sure can navigate this app with ease. Great app !!!
Not impressed
The new app design doesn’t show you immediate transactions and the current amount or what’s truly left in your account. Making it annoying because it causes you to go into the negative because it says you have it available when you really don’t. This app seems way slower in processing transactions and the older app used to show when you had depending deposits. This one doesn’t. Kind of want my old app back.
