just what I’ve been looking for
This app does everything I wanted in a dash cam. I am 100% satisfied. Beyond the features and ability to use an old cell phone, the developer respects my privacy - I appreciate that - a lot! I will recommend this to family and friends. I will also encourage users to buy a good mount; windshield or dash - a cheap mount will produce jittery images, not due to the app but rather the mount.

Could have been 5 stars, but there are some glitches
First of all, love this app. It does what it’s supposed to do. Straight to the point, no BS. But there are some glitches after the recent updates that have been bugging me. Whenever I switched to another app while using the dash cam, the screen turned black and couldn’t connect back to the camera after that. I could go on without switching apps, but it also happened when I received phone calls, which is unavoidable. There were some instances that I was driving, someone from my family called me, which I had to pick up, and it instantly blacked out the dash cam. Couldn’t reconnect while driving. Which is quite inconvenient. Could dev team fix this? Please.
Download not working
When I stop recording, click on download, it would not work. And when I open the app again, the screen looks black or blank. Please help!!!
Record in the background
Will this record in the background while I have Waze on the screen? I could not see a way to do that.

doesn’t work
this app doesn’t work as described. video recorded by the app failed to incorporate navigational data. Even its companion app, Dashcam Player, indicated the recording had no data on it. I believe, the built in Camera app does a much better job.
Please add the date and time to the display!
I would love to see the option added to have the date and time displayed on the dash cam while in use And for that information to stay on the display on playback. It would also be nice if the speedometer display showed on the recorded clip. The one time I had an issue with somebody who was drag racing and passed me, and I went to take the clip to show the police, it did not show the speed that I was going so you could not tell how fast the other cars were actually going, and even the police said it would be nice to have that information that shows on the display while you’re driving to show on the recorded clip. In order for my speed to show on the recorded clip, I have to use screen record at the same time I’m using the dash cam. When I do that the speed that I am going while driving shows on the recorded clip. But we really do need the date and time to display on the dash cam while using it and on the clip that is saved it would be very helpful if there is an accident and you have to use that clip to show proof of what happened if the date and time were displayed on the recorded clip. I love this app, but I really would love it much more if they would display the date and time on the dash cam itself while using it, and if that information was visible on the recorded clip as well. So to the developers, if you are going to make any changes or upgrades to this app, please consider a date and time display at the top so that when using the dash cam and recording that information is on there, so just in case the clip needs to be turned over to the police, they have the information on the date and the time that the incident happened, and the speed we were driving. It would make this app so much better and I really hope you consider doing so.
Stopped working
It’s a fantastic app and it worked really well for the longest time but now it doesn’t save recordings. It used to save them to my photos, but it just completely stopped.
Does a great job for an app on a phone
So far I am impressed and there is no annoying adds. I like you can control how it is saved, as clips, or a loop that you control the size of. Good job guys!

Great free DashCam app!
Strong and reliable version of the DashCam. My only issue is Infinite Loop Recording that doesn’t write over older videos in the cache. When I go to manually download the videos, I get all videos since my last download which can total to nearly 5 hours of recording despite setting the Loop Video Buffer size to 60 or 120 minutes (that I’ve tried so far). Aesthetic request: can you please change the recording icon from red/blinky red to grey/red? I don’t want to see whether I’ve remembered to record by waiting to see if the red blinks off. To work around this, I’ve set it to auto record upon launch so I forget to record and not get myself distracted while on the road. Otherwise a 5-star app!
Shuts down and restart by itself often
When using the app, it constantly turns It’s recording off, and I have to close the app and reopen it to start recording again.
Great app
I set this up on an unused iPhone 14+. I activated the voice commands and that works perfectly. The only thing I suggest is to allow the voice command to add either static or custom text to the image or video caption field so that it can be quickly found among all the other videos and images. For example, if I have a close call, I would like to be able to say “save video close call”and have the video tagged with those last two words. Or, just add the word “Saved” to that field. It is an excellent app and a great way to repurpose an old iPhone.
Stop to record after a few hours. I have to turn off the phone and turn on the phone to restart it
Disappointed
Good app,but still have some bugs.
1; I set save to “Dash Cam” Album, but it still save to system Album in my 12mini, but it’s working well in my 13mini. 2; In the map screen, whatever i zoom in or zoom out, it turn back to Initial screen in 1sec. 3； I think we need a button to switch the screen to portrait mode or landscape mode or auto mode(as same as system setting).
Background Recording
Great app but it does not record when you ise google maps or other applications. It stops recording when it is in the background. Please fix it.

Will not save to Photo album
After 25 minutes of recording from the inside of car. When stop recording and use the upper left corner export function to download to dashcam album, nothing gets downloaded. Is there a limitation for downloading a recording? Looping doesn’t work either

I couldn’t get the dash cam app and Apple Music to work simultaneously.

Only complaint does record speed limit watching video ., Like look of it I tried recording with map on screen I love how it shows map on screen and still records while switching in map mode that’s nice option I love it and to use widescreen to record love that feature not many dash cams I tried have widescreen that option is important to have widescreen., I like to see more on phone dash cams have no use location to use speed limit while driving all dash cams I try out and this one requires you enable location to have speed limit enabled on show how fast your going., But one thing I love about it more it still works on operation system 15.5 I refuse to update my phone last time I update my phone my old phone that update took up all space on my phone I deleted eveything and still no space was open on my phone to use that update took it all up that is reason I refuse to use and do updates on my phone and tablet all times and updates are useless comes with trash I will never use can’t be deleted stuff I will never use., It uses Apple Maps maybe for update if there is day decide option for update one not important like it how it uses Apple Maps but have option in dash cam go into your Apple Maps favorites in dash cam shows where your going with gps while recording whole time choose what route to take if I’m going to use Apple Maps I use Apple Maps for gps have dash cam use Apple Maps favorites locations while using it if possible make Apple Maps option more useful in dash cam mode

This is so useful
I hate needing a dash cam and my phone. It’s yet another device that I have to keep up with. This app is perfect because it solves that. Frankly, this is what goes in all of our family cars.

Cannot thank the creator of this app enough. This does exactly what you want from an expensive dash cam but it’s free and has great, simple features. I’ve recommended it to my friends and they love it. Highly highly recommend. Only issue is camera quality depends on your phone camera.
