Bus no shows
Why does it show bus times etc but then the bus doesn’t arrive!

Try to use Ballymartin P&R which is shared with Belfast International Airport but the bus regularly does not turn up. The service is totally unreliable and badly managed. The solution is to separate the airport service from Ballymartin. There is also a railway line runs adjacent to the P&R; why not a platform? Terrible service.

Times don’t match website
Why are times different from your Journey planner page (which seem to be the correct one). Would recommend anyone relying in the app to double check beforehand

Good idea, but what is the point?
The idea of this app is great - it’s so great to have an app that tells you exactly when the bus is coming. The only thing is that it never comes at the time it says it will. I’ve had a bus come either 8 minutes late or 6 minutes early and everything in between. There is genuinely no point in the app, maybe if I was entertained by watching random numbers go up and down then there might be some value in it, but I may as well just not look at the app, go the stop and play roulette with the bus coming.
This app should be merged into the ticket app
Why have two apps when you can have one? I have often seen public transport apps in other cities that combine journey planning and ticket purchases in one app. It’s a far better user experience. Plus please remember my most often used stations.
Perfect planner
Great app. It’s easy to navigate and gives options of booking train and bus trips in advance
Poor replacement app
Very poor and unreliable. You cannot depend upon the information. This is especially true in Newcastle. Why is there a 237 and 520 Services, can we have just a single service as they stop at different bus stops!
App has debited bank card
I have been using the Translink Planner to plan my journeys to and from work. This week, I tried to use it to buy a ticket. I was not logged into the app, but even so, when I clicked “buy”, sure enough, £11 was taken from my bank through Apple Pay. But due to not being logged in, no ticket appeared in my basket. A customer service rep on the phone was not able to find my booking - because I was not logged into the app. There is no customer service at all within the app to solve problems like this. This app allows you to purchase tickets when you are logged in, but because you aren’t logged in, you won’t receive the ticket, and they won’t be able to find your booking because you weren’t logged in. So far I have been unable to get the money that was taken from my bank refunded to my card. I am really hoping this review will result in me getting a Useful response and my money back.
Missing buses
The app is fine, but frustratingly it does not show all the buses. For example, the 17.10 from Laganside to Newtownards. You just have to know there is one - or two, rather - as the app won’t tell you. And there are other examples at other times.

It’s decent but it should be possible to track the coming busses on the map. Show where it is before it picks you up etc. To confirm it’s on its way to you
Dreadful App
Impossible to use and mostly inaccurate. Its predecessor was much better.
Confusing
When I try to plan a journey on a route that goes straight into town it always plans that I have to change at least once. Sometimes twice! 🤷

App constantly telling me buses are late and surprise surprise they’re not

Terrible app
The Translink app is a real disappointment. The overall design and layout is cluttered, unintuitive, and surprisingly amateurish for the main public transport app in Northern Ireland. Rather than making journey planning quick and straightforward, the interface often makes it difficult to find the information you need. Given how many people rely on Translink services every day, the app should inspire confidence and make travelling easier. Instead, it feels dated and poorly thought through, with a user experience that falls well below expectations.

Not great or intuitive
Confusing to use to find routes, doesn’t display some routes, doesn’t update to show school holidays routines, and you can’t buy your tickets through this app (you need to buy use another translink app).
The app
Ok so you should really create a feature so you can have you favourite ticket as opposed to having to constantly go through the motions of where you’re getting on and off, I’m sure people everyday are constantly having to fill this in to buy a ticket they use almost everyday. I work in Belfast 2 days a week so don’t need the 3 day pass. Another thing is when looking for bus times why do I need to go into settings to ensure trains are deselected, that should be on the front screen.

Confusing and impractical
Using the app since a while but it’s offering confusing travel advice. For example when I ask how to get to Belfast city hospital the app tells me to walk. Other times telling me when asking about a different destination the app is offering a route to get off at Castle court - walk to laganside bus centre - take a blue bus - get off at a stop at the Europa and from then walk to get to the no 10 bus stops. I have buses and trains set up yet rarely offers train options. Sometimes it seems to me the app is just trying to rip off tourists who doesn’t have any knowledge of local services and Belfast.
Missing feature
Smooth app, but can a user not plan a trip and then buy the ticket? Even if it linked me over to the purchase app. Seems like I need to know the who transit system in order to buy the proper ticket.
