Good game, but only on PC
Y’all dropped the ball with the mobile release the touch controls being the only way to play it. This needs controller support like the PC version! Playing a run & gun game on mobile where touch controls cover the screen is a terrible idea!

Truly sad to see what over a decade of an amazing game has come to be a pathetic pay to play, pay to progress, android, cheating, beyond boring, embarrassing to the label of “Metal Slug”. Your game designers should be absolutely embarrassed your project managers need to retire and never attempt to work in the video game industry ever again.

無課金で遊んでみましたが、しっかりと楽しめました。 迫力もすごい！今の時代これが無料なのか・・・ でも、どうしても気になる点が一つ、やはりコントローラーが使えないのは、すごくやりにくいと感じますね。そこさえ出来ればド派手アクションゲームを気の向いた時に遊べるのに、、、残念！

課金は全然いいんですが、バランスが悪すぎると思います。もう少し無課金な人もやり込みたくなる様に調整して欲しいものです！武器の凸だけでも強いのに、戦力の差でさらに強さが開くのはキツイと思います

Abomination
This is not metal slug. It is awful and the art direction is lost to me. No pixels but the characters look like they did but smoothed out. They looked like that because of the pixels before. Now they look ridiculous. Took forever for this to install and I guess it’s because of the micro transactions menus upon menus and “lunar” new year garbage. How do you jump from burlap green fatigues to expensive silk outfits. This is an absolute disaster of a game.
Not a bad game but gets boring fast
You get bored fast and you eventually hit a wall because your guns don’t do enough damages. You also can’t just focus into upgrading one single weapon but you will need minimum 2 to ensure max damages on different monsters or bosses. It was really fun because it reminded me of the Neogeo emulator I had back in the days to play all metal slugs. I stopped after 2 weeks since the release.

As an old arcade player of Metal Slug, this game captures the essence of nostalgia from the previous games. However, due to the extremely long loading times, it kills me to rate anything less than perfect. If there is anyway to improve the start up loading time, I would love to give this game a 5/5.

Grinding nostalgia
Metal Slug Awakening grabs you by the nostalgia in the first few minutes. The tutorial mimics the classic MS gameplay with MSX’s first stage, and it’s awesome! After the tutorial is over, it changes into its actual gameplay, with gear rarity, power levels, and RNG equipment. It isn’t bad, but get ready for grinding. The game has some glimpses of the original game, like the flashback mode, which includes remade versions of classic MS stages, and the extreme championship, which features weekly set stages that you play with only one character and a premade loadout. The game controls fine on touch, but I really wish it had controller support. In conclusion, the game is fun, but I’m not a fan of the team composition gatcha system, and the timed energy count. I recommend giving it a shot to see if you like it. The first few moments really make me wish for a modern Metal Slug game in the same vein as Contra: Operation Galuga. We waited so long, you could've just delayed it buy one day
I'm a fan on metal slug. I played it a lot when I was a kid and I was looking forward to this but you launched the game with non functional servers? Why?? We waited this long we could've waited a couple hours more. The game itself though? Pretty solid!! Now that it works I have fun playing it. Not much to say expect for one: please bring the old school way of aiming where you could just aim with the same stick that moves the character. Maybe I'm just used to the old school one but the manual aim is almost useless and the auto aim is simply too easy. But other than that everything works pretty well for me. Very happy to play this game.

Excellent and thank you for bringing this nostalgia to life But the game has many technical problems, I will mention a few of them First, I couldn't play with the console controllers The game is not as smooth as the old versions. To shoot in any direction in the previous versions, it was only necessary to rotate the direction so that the arrows could be fired in all directions quickly, but in this version we do not see this issue. The new forces are interesting, but it is better not to have time to throw the bombs.The graphics are good but the characters are a bit slow. It was great to begin with, I hope it will be better in the next updates
