Big disappointment!!!
I hardly know where to start with this new version of the Pilates Anytime app. While the updated design looks prettier at first glance, everything that truly matters in an exercise app needs serious fixing. I’ve been a member for nine years and used the previous version extensively. If I could, I’d switch back without hesitation. Based on my long experience, there are several issues that need immediate attention. First, it’s now impossible to search or sort within the list of favorite workouts—a feature that used to be available. This makes the favorites list almost pointless. I relied on it to quickly find the workouts I already knew and loved, organized by my own criteria. Now, the only option is to search through *all* workouts, which wastes time and breaks the flow of my routine. Second, the search filters don’t display all available workouts. For example, if I filter by “Equipment – Mat” and “Teacher – Michael King,” several of his workouts don’t appear, even though I know they exist. At first, I thought those sessions had been removed, but my husband managed to find them on the desktop version and create a playlist so I could access them from my phone—which is what I use for 99% of my workouts. If that workaround hadn’t existed, I might never have found those classes again. It makes me wonder how many other workouts are now hidden or inaccessible through the normal search.
Not having any App Support available…
Not having any App Support available during the weekend when there is a malfunction with the Application is poor service. I trust my subscription will be extended to cover the lack of use. Otherwise, this is a fantastic collection of exercises with a fabulous assortment of instructors and I find it especially useful as I own a Studio Reformer. Moreover, when I travel, which is less often since Covid, it is a blessing to be able to take a mat and enjoy a workout away from home and anywhere in the world.
Not new user friendly at all
The workouts aren’t intuitively titled. The trainers talk too much and the filters don’t work. It is very overwhelming for a new user.
Continued issues with loading videos
Have had issues since the new update. I reported it and had better success loading videos but now I can’t load my favorites again. Please advise

Mobile App issue
Maybe I’m still new to the app, but it seems hard to filter down to precise videos on the mobile app. I usually have my phone propped nearby and when I specify parameter, I often get nothing available. The content is great when it’s there though!

Update problems
I’ve been a member/used the app for years and never had a single issue. The new update; although visually beautiful and well organized (which I appreciate) has brought simple issues like restarting a workout from your queue just gives the spinning wheel of death…I wasted almost 10min this morning trying to get my preferred workout to restart. Please fix 🙏

I started the 14 day free trial and was charged $30 instantly. Nope, I’m good.
Lots of choices
Wow. Lots to choose from, and the content is fairly well organized. The app itself is a bit clunky, though. Once you set up what you’d like in your cue or favorites, it would be great to be able to arrange the order. This would help me, anyway, as a beginner, to give instructors or classes a try, then set them up in the best order for me rather than scrolling through every time. Love the classes and variety (my first week) so far, don’t really like the app itself.
Not enough mat classes
This app is really good but there are far more reformer classes than mat.
Decent resource but could use fresh updates
Some of the content feels a bit dated, so it would be great to see more up-to-date videos and newer teaching styles. That said, it’s still a useful platform for finding exercise inspiration and learning variations you might not have come across in your certification or training.

Great workouts, so so on the app.
I really like the workouts, there are a lot of options on type, equipment, body parts, level, time. The search feature is terrible, it’s hard to narrow down, there are no filters to help sort. There’s also no place for the challenges, if you start one, it’s a long process to get to the next class each day. I wish the whole challenge would just go to the queue.

iPad app looks great.
The iPad app had a few bugs in the last release. The developers responded quickly to complaints and updated it fast. Now it’s better than ever. Great Pilates programming. Highly recommended.

Not really a motivational or inspiring community. I recommend Down Down Pilates or YouTube.

Great content but clunky app
The workouts are great but the app is so clunky and dated when compared to other fitness apps. I hate that you have to watch the video instead of follow along while listening to your own music. It’s hard to find classes and then you can’t star them/mark them for later so you’re constantly having to search for stuff. Just needs a huge redesign.
Great content but hard to navigate and find what I want
Love the wealth of pilates information and exercise in this app. But, it is incredibly difficult to find classical repertoire programs unless you search for a specific instructor. It would be great if you can create a couple of new filter features: 1. Option to select between classical, contemporary, and hybrid or by elder lineage 2. By equipment manufacturer - Balanced Body, Gratz, Peak Pilates, Stott, etc. since they all use different types of spring setup.
It helped me to lose weight, shape my body,and overall feel healthier.
I spend so much time working on the computer that my lower back and hips often ache. When I discovered Pilates Anytime, I didn't expect it to make such a big difference, but the specialized classes for hips and lower back have been incredibly helpful! I highly recommend this app if you're looking to alleviate specific pains or just feel better physically, lose weight, shape your body or feel healthier.
Videos don’t zoom to fill screen on Iphone
Title says it all. Can’t drag a computer or iPad around everywhere and can’t follow videos on iPhone when they don’t zoom to fill the screen. Sticking with Flow with Mira even though I was hoping to find more challenging advanced coursework here.

Not crazy about the search function
I have no luck when searching videos for no-box reformer, level 1/2. I find them somehow so I know they exist but my “search comes up as no results”
Best Pilates App
I am a studio owner and have used Pilates Anytime for 10+ years. It has been an invaluable resource to support not only my teaching, but provides continued education, and enhances my personal workouts. With access to respected educators from around the world via workshops and classes, as well as their own regular team of dynamic, innovative, and friendly instructors…Pilates Anytime gives me all I need to feel successful and remain knowledgeable about movement, anatomy, and of course Pilates. It’s worth every penny!
DONT GIVE THEM YOUR CARD DETAILS
I tried the app, it didn’t meet my needs (postnatal Pilates), cancelled within the 14 day free trial, got an email from their support team saying I wouldn’t be charged, but I have been, repeatedly, and they ignore my emails. I’m having to stop my credit card.
Loads of inspirational classes
Very handy, if sometimes hard to get a non- equipment class. Works really well for iPad.

They need to add new reformer classes. They have slowed down a lot and lost some of their great instructors.
Inexplicably missing in features
The content within the app is great. A huge number of lessons for students and teachers at every level, delivered clearly and in good video by excellent instructors. That part is really good and well worth the subscription cost. The app itself, however, for some inexplicable reason, has bugs and is missing critical features that make it frustrating to use. For starters, videos that have been watched in full should be automatically marked with an “eye” icon, so the user can easily identify those videos they have watched. This worked for a while, and it is not working anymore. It is not possible to write notes in the app - why not!?? It is a lot of hassle to have to go to the web app, find the class, and write notes there, when I have it open right there in the app! It is also not possible to modify the custom playlists in the app. Another incredibly shortsighted omission. I very much doubt that most users lug their computer around to watch the videos in their computer, when they can simply open the app and use their phone or tablet to watch the class. So doesn’t it make more sense to be able to rate, comment, keep track of, and categorize the lessons by playlist in the app? What am I missing here? Not having the features that are available in the web application within the mobile app is just sloppy, lazy programming.

I have trained privately with two trainers over the last 20 years. One was trained by Romana! During covid, i finally fulfilled my dream to have my own studio at home to self train. I love these instructors who keep me learning and challenged! They are all amazing. Thank you! C.J. Carnewal

Guys, if you just made it more affordable say £5 a month lots more people would sign up. Then you’d get more ratings. Good ones hopefully. Then you can start increasing your prices.
Learning Pilates through a mobile phone is depressing
If I can stream to my tv then then this app would be great. I’d rather put pins in my eyes thought than be forced to buy an Apple TV so I’ll stick to watching free YouTube videos. It’s cheaper and far less irritating. As a result of the developer responding to this review I have tried many more times to get Air play from my Chrome and stream this app to my TV but unfortunately nothing has changed and it still does not stream. I stream on YouTube all the time I will have give up with this app now!
Great classes
I love the classes and the variety. I always find the app and online platform a bit confusing and overwhelming to find a class that I want. Perhaps because of the organization or the sheer number of classes. Once i do find the right class, though, it’s great!
Great for beginners, lifers, and teachers
I’ve used PA since I bought my reformer during the pandemic. I’ve been able to learn from some of the best - Amy Havens, Mariska, John Garey and so many more! I began with this app as a beginner and I’ve started the BB instructor program. The only complaint is I wish there were more split pedal chair workouts!

Great resource : poor searchability
Pilates Anytime was ahead of it’s time. However, it is not very good to search through the huge number of videos available. I end up not using it much as I find the search experience so poor.
Love it
I’ve been with Pilates Anytime for a few years now and it’s really an important part of my life. The teachers are excellent. Overall I would like to see more diverse bodies represented among the instructors. They have made some improvements in this area in the past year and I hope they can increase those efforts even more vigorously moving forward. It makes a big difference in my experience. I highly recommend this platform.

At first glance this looks like a free app but what isn't made clear in the App description is that this is the mobile app for a subscription based website. In order to access the vast majority of the videos you will need to subscribe via the website which costs about £12 a month at the time of writing.

Ll love this sit but classes are toonold and l already watched 99% of them.
