Take a little time to get used to … then go 4.5 stars
Was using other map apps but then after a little time to get used to this Lothian bus app, it’s very good UX, the live departures are very good. Within a small mobile screen, first time you’d find a bit hard to use, then a few times later, you’d probably love it.
Never trust it
It showed the bus will arrive in 5mins. After 5 mins, the bus just disappeared on the app. Totally misleading

The timing on this can be absolutely shocking Sometimes It will tell you the bus is in 5 minutes but when you get to the stop the bus timetable will say 15 minutes

Terrible compared to the original
This app is complete garbage nothing on it works properly bus times don’t show sometimes, it always takes you off the journey tracking page if you switch apps meaning you can’t double check what stop to get off at. Even when planning a journey the date and time are settings are a pain to deal with🙄 I’ve never written a review before in my life but i have now because i feel so passionately about it your app is garbage
Great but could be better
I always use this app and find that it’s pretty accurate in regards to bus times for my nearest stop, although I do find that the occasional bus disappears completely after showing arrival in “10 minutes”. I find the “plan” feature is good when it actually works, although for the last few days when I have tried to select a day and time for my journey, the app closes. Really frustrating when I have an event or appointment to attend where I need to know the bus timings in advance.
Reliability
Increasingly unreliable. Buses are due then suddenly disappear.

Worst app ever created
The fact that the app has somehow gotten even worse is shocking to me. Every single morning and every single evening I have a problem because the app is wrong.
No Timetable
I don’t this new update, I want to timetable of the busses as-well as arrival times, the old app had this, I don’t know why they changed 🤦♂️
Inaccurate live tracking
Frequently shows me bus arrival time information for buses that never show up. Very unreliable.
Hard to use
The fonts and buttons are small. The screen is dark. Whenever it is needed to plan a trip, I need to find the small the small “travel”button to go to another screen and then find another small “plan” button for another screen.

Occasionally doesn’t work. Very good. If the live feed can be a bit more live as in see constant movement of the buses to estimate where they are than updating every few seconds can help massively.
Bus times
Bus times have stopped being accurate and has lead me to be being late on multiple different occasions recently, needs to be sorted
OK but could be easier to use
Once you work out how to use the app, it is helpful. However, personally it should be more intuitive to assist those who are less tech savvy. App development should always be geared towards the lowest common denominator- the user - and not what developers think will be useful. One option that should be resurrected from the previous app, is automatic recognition of what bus you are on. It may still be there,hidden in a menu, but I have not found it - yet!!
Unreliable
The new bus app still has issues with showing inaccurate information about bus times. Sometimes you can’t even track your bus or receive the exact correct time. Disappointed AGAIN!!!
Good info, bad UI
The timetable information on this app is good, and different (and I presume better) than some competing apps. But the UI is bad. To get directions from where you are to somewhere else is a chore, and to get directions from A2B is also a chore. Both things are a chore and they shouldn't be. It needs rethinking. Also the green bus line is almost the same shade as parkland and hard to see, particularly as Edinburgh has so many parks. I think this shows that little thought was put into the design of the app.

Very good quality buses are always expected at that exact time and i can see where they are very useful 5 stars!
Poor trip planning
You need to know what bus stop to get off to plan a journey, why can’t you just pin in maps like google maps, very short sighted by the developers
Great App (room for some improvements)
Overall, this is a very useful iOS app. It’s excellent for checking bus times and planning journeys, and the ability to save favourite stops and filter routes makes everyday use much quicker and easier. There is, however, a frustrating issue with saved stops. When I tap one saved stop and then switch to another to check services, the app often jumps back to the first stop after a second or two. This feels like a state or navigation issue and makes it difficult to compare stops. It’s particularly noticeable on iOS, where users expect the interface to stay exactly where they left it. A feature improvement I’d love to see is more dynamic journey planning that takes known traffic issues into account, such as roadworks or regular congestion. At the moment, the app may show that a 09:00 bus will reach a connection on time, only for it to run 10–15 minutes late due to known disruptions. On iOS, apps like Apple Maps and Google Maps already factor this in for route planning, and similar behaviour here would greatly improve accuracy and confidence in the app’s recommendations.
Flawed and outdated
Used when visiting family. Really poor set of features: no account journey features, can’t track diversions, no detail on zones within app. Contrasted with the Stagecoach and TfLs app, it’s substandard.

Doesn’t work
It barely works, how is it possible to make an app worse than the old one? It shows incorrect times for busses, it will constantly show up with an error when you try and track the bus your after and if not that it will say the bus you are is due in like 5 minutes despite showing on the app that his is long passes your stop, the app also randomly opens different bus stops instead of the one your after and doesn’t open the you need half the time.

Not fit for purpose
This app regularly misinforms me the times of buses. Times don’t match those on the bus stop display. It does not meet its singular most important requirement. It’s also bloated with unnecessary features and is not particularly usable.
Glitching
The app constantly glitches when trying to reload bus times!! please fix this!

New app is laggy, not accurate and down right a mess , don’t change what isn’t broken !
Live tracker and journey planner need work
The live tracker updates so slowly it shouldn’t even be a feature. It should update at least every 2 minutes. Missed buses because it shows the bus being over 10 stops away. The journey planner should also tell you what time the bus should reach a stop, similar to what google maps does.

Clunky and buggy
Fails to show bus arrival times when clicking on bus stops. Overall frustrating and clunky to use.
Pretty update but useless
This app is much more modern than the previous offering. I also appreciate the tickets being in one app. BUT there’s no point in any of this if the bus times are unusable. The departure times aren’t presented in any recognizable order (I would expect it to be soonest to latest) and it leaves some departures out. This is unacceptable. As an aside, it would be ideal to have trip planner default to current location for departure…
