great but no love for custom battles.
amazing port, but the custom map selection & army budget are severely undercut only making campaign viable for those large scale encounters & city battles like in the menu artwork. truly sad it's been so long and still no love for customs.
Looks very good but Spain knocked declared war and took my 1 Provence within the the first 8 turns
I originally played this on desktop when it first came out. Played really well but the ai sucks like it did in the old days. I couldn’t get France or Spain to ally me in road to independence and Spain went from friendly to ending my game within the first 8 turns. I didn’t even make it to turn 10. I got steamrolled and never got a chance to do anything
Broken
It seems as always CA puts in less effort than modders who work for free. The game crashes, in naval battles ships get stuck and the 7$ DLC is not completed. The DLC unlocks all the minor factions and possible revolt factions. But does not add anything to them. The groups like mamlukes, barbary pirates, afghanistan and savoy Genoa, and others have very limited construction capabilities. Some buildings not even able to produce any troops or any kind. It would have been nice if they gave something more than just unlocking them. It is a nice port but it also comes off as very lazy and lacking especially even you payinalmist 30 bucks for a port of a almost 20 year old game, that could have easily pirated but i want to support my first tw game i ever played.

Pretty tight that Total War has finally come to mobile I always wished it was a possibility and now I’m able to play Empire for the first time because of it being accessible to mobile and I’m impressed to say that it’s bomb. Hopefully Rome 2 will be in the near future!
Would like a refund
I love these games, was super excited to see empire was available. I paid and downloaded the game only to be told it’s not supported on my device despite it specifically saying it was on the download page. This is theft. The page I get taken too for a refund says there is no refund available, which makes no sense. Never been able to even open the game.
This game is a masterpiece but i only need one thing
Ever since i was young i played strategic games and seeing total war games was the best thing i’ve done…empire has been the best so far but only i need one thing which is making combat harder than it is . Thank you.
Steering screen disappear in battle
Why does the screen suddenly lose the sterring menu. I am suddenly blind in battle…….
Not worth it
The game lags a lot and it is more complicated then Rome total war. There is a lot going on in the game but they need to fix the bugs. It is not worth 20 dollars

THE WORST GAME IN THE HISTORY OF GAMES. If you’re wondering why the total war franchise is dead you can thank this game right here. SEA AND LAND BATTLES ARE TRASH. Forget the horrible graphics quality, the game play itself is terrible. 6x speed and every battle takes 20 mins just for your troops to get within firing range of the enemy. Sea battles have no logical order and commands are never followed. Rome total war for iOS is amazing. The Devs that made this game should be fired. Do better Ferral

This game is extremely fun and has good animations and features. But it crashes like every 5 mins… the only changes that should be made is that crashing should be fixed and thats it

very buggy. Crashes a lot. Weird thing where screen zooms in and out. Given cost needs a lot more investment in stability.
its fair
it keeps some of old features but lacks in details(especially in naval battle and technology part). the modern unit retrain is a bit nonsense (if u attack and lower the amount of army in a unit can lower the upkeep and have free training). a few easily noticed bugs without follow up. eg. 1. reform bugs due to unmatched icon and name of government type. 2. liberate bugs: if a port is blocked before liberate, the ship will be trap forever with the blocked port. 3. game crash can easy occur when touching the edge of phone screen(iphone).

Bugs
This is an amazing game the only thing holding it back is that if you liberate a country to create a buffer the game locks your troops in place and you can’t move them and the only way to break out of it is to then re-fight the country you just liberated and take over.

Let’s down by bugs
Great game however bugs don’t let me load my saved game. Release an update already! fix the bugs. Game actually unplayable because can’t load game it crashes. For £13 it’s shouldn’t be that bad. Waste of time. Inconvenient and yes I’ve sent crash reports etc

Trash saves
Fix the loading and saving idiots! This game should be removed from the App Store as the game is unplayable due to unable to load or save and if you do half the time it’s corrupt and won’t work. DELETE THE GAME FROM THE APP STORE I TIL THE DEVS FIX THIS ISSUE
Good but one thing I wish
Is there anyway to play this version of ETW on my Mac? This mobile version is so much better than the available version on Mac, I only wish I can play it on there!

I love this game
I have played this game a whole bunch over the past year and really enjoyed it, I absolutely love the graphics and gameplay except sometimes the AI on units is a bit dumb it’s still really great
Cant play as pirates!
Purchased A new world dlc and still can’t play as pirates. I need to be a pirate of the Caribbean. Will change to 5 stars when I can be a pirate.
Calvary Issues
Can you fix the Calvary bug? You should be able to win battles with a frontal Calvary charge against line infantry. It works on the other Total Wars.
Great game but waiting for the turn to end takes LONG
It’s absolutely appalling how long it takes to load the next turn. And why are there no possibilities to increase food growth? The loading thing is ridiculous. Can take 15 mins even! Fix it asap
Bien mais bug à répétition
Le jeu est très bien mais beaucoup beaucoup trop de bug problème d’affichage sur l’écran crash tout les 10 tours téléphone qui chauffe j’espère que c’est problème de bug seront vite réglé au vu du prix du jeux.
Storage
Hello I’m writing as your app says I have to let out some storage before I download additional content but I checked and it said I have enough storage on my phone
Crashes after 5-10mins
I have it on iPad 9th gen and iPhone 14. On both devices it works initially, but after 5-10mins the screen shrinks and bounces around like an old screen saver. Nothing i do stops this. I have to close app and reload. Then it happens again. Totally unplayable.
Area for improvement
Game is great and runs really well. Controls on the campaign map are great. In battle they need to add the arrows that tell units to move forward backwards or tilt left/right because it can be really finicky

Good but BUGGY!
Brilliant port to iPad, the game is just as I remember it on pc but for the bugs. 1. The game has crashed mid battles (land & sea) and on the campaign maps. 2. Has a tendency to freeze. 3. Messages repeating in the info tap at the start of turns. 4. After completing actions with holy characters, rakes and armies/navies successful or not, the info tap keeps popping open its self. 5. If a full stack is in a city and you are building another full stack army from said city, roughly after 15 units it will glitch inside city on campaign map making it unusable. Only way to fix it I have found is to disband that army remove the full stack from city and build new army inside the city itself. This is but a sample of bugs in the game. If you have the patience to deal with this right now you will enjoy the game, if not then I’d suggest waiting for bug fixes before getting the game.

Very buggy and how am I able to scale fort walls!?!?
It crashes very often and it’s almost impossible to scale fort walls with units but guess what, bots can do it easier than moving an army unit?!!?!?This basically forces you not to play a siege if you don’t play with a cannon.I once tried with a fully experienced nizam cedit l infantry against armed populace for example and LOST because I can’t use a rope to climb the wall!!This needs to be fixed!!But the other bits of gameplay is 5stars.
Great game unreliable
I really like this game but it just keeps crashing during battles, I have iPad Air third gen and I’m starting to think this game needs more processing power than this although notes say my iPad is supported.

Great game but really disappointed that they simplified the campaign mechanics. Building management, resource management, diplomacy, trade, army management - all these features have suffered to make the game compatible with mobile devices 😢. Surprising that Medieval TW had better campaign complexity. Really hope this gets improved in the future with updates 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Pirates?
This game is absolutely amazing 10/10 but it’s missing one thing: I WANNA PLAY AS A PIRATE I get attacked by them in the Caribbean every turn and many times I wonder what it would be like to be on the other side of that, with a few tiny islands and ships, the difficulty, the immersion and the fun of that in my opinion cannot be overstated, it’s the only non playable start faction and there isn’t even any cheat to swap nations like in previous titles so let us play pirates!
Crashes -Unplayable
Good game but every few turns it crashes and the screen gets stuck on a loop going between full screen and then small screen.... it's almost like the game is pulsing at you... very strange

My old pc could not handle this when it came out, now I can play on my iPad! Amazing game, hours of fun! It does crash occasionally, and the 6x speed runs at 3x in battles. Apart from that perfect!

Es ist wirklich ein tolles Spiel aber die KI ist absolut schlecht eingestellt. Auf normal ist es viel zu einfach. Auf schwer erklärt einem jeder Ministaat den Krieg. Beispiel: Spiel mit Frankreich: 10 Kriegserklärungen in den ersten 25 Runden!
