Excellent Customer Service

I accidentally topped up my account with £165 instead of £1.65, I thought I’d be in for a whole lot of trouble trying to get a refund! Instead they answered the phone immediately and arranged a full refund within 2 minutes.

So, so terrible

It constantly crashes, selects the bike for you (I would rather choose my own), takes ages to log a repair or cancel a hire. The bikes themselves are pretty bad and 4 different ones I tried were broken. Tried to pay my balance using the exact amount I had accrued and it only lets me top up more than I paid! This is honestly one of the worst apps I’ve ever used.

So so

You should be able to see the battery clearly before putting a bike on hold. The bikes are extremely difficult to ride when the battery is low. ALSO where do all the bikes go?!

Great App!

This is a great app that perfectly compliments the Brighton Bike Share scheme. Great customer service too!

Me Jack Steel

I want a refund, i am being charged after ending my bike ride and locking up. However my ride time increases and I cannot stop it

It’s a LIE - “Free time left 35 mins”

Great fun riding these bikes but please remove “Free time left 35 mins” from Brighton app. Anything up to 35 minutes COSTS £1, and 3p per minute thereafter. Disingenuous to say there is any free time whatsoever associated with using these bikes (Trades Description Act?). Other than that, a good addition to Brighton transport infrastructure.

Mr

The management of the company is not very efficient ! They froze my account for an internal issue they are having for more than two weeks now . I have called few toes and still no results .. they are about to lose a good customer .. I’ll pay about 200 pound a year for hiring there bikes and now Iam pushed away to buy my own bike ..

awful

so so so bad! made me pay a pound to register and then doesn’t let us unlock any bikes because they “lost connection” and then my boyfriend managed to unlock it but i couldn’t so he ended up spending £1.30 waiting for me but then we couldn’t unlock one!

Great way to get around Brighton

Have really enjoyed using the bikes to get around Brighton, the bikes themselves are heavier than I thought but I guess they have to be sturdy. The app is very handy especially to locate where each bike hub is and if there are bikes available- would have been even better if you could add credit into account directly on the app rather than having to be redirected to the website.

Long time before I did first ride but very straightforward and convenient, cheaper than a bus and you get a bit of exercise...what’s not to like?!

Rubbish

Waste of time and money. Unlocked a bike for my husband then tried several others for me all kept saying no signal so after 6 min re locked the first bike and paid for the time. Will never use again.

Can workout the app better

My account is blocked since weeks as I needed to choose my working email which I can’t access on my holiday. I received a new bank account card and the payment hasn’t gone through(old one got blocked because of fraud suspicions). There is no way to change it or access those details. Also no chance to get through a kind of customer service. End of the story, no bike for me and I have to spend more money in buses.

Excellent app backed by good customer service

This bike sharing system has been well thought through from start to end. The app hides the complexity (it’s a hybrid docked & dockless platform) and makes it easy to use. And when the technology gets it wrong, there’s a human on hand to help. Six stars if I could.

Annoying

— brighton belles

★★☆☆☆ United Kingdom · v2.10.6 · 7 Aug 2018

50% success rate

The app doesn’t show battery level until the ‘free to cancel’ period expires meaning you’re paying the fare whether the bike works properly or not. Bikes are good when they work, but the bike isn’t charged then it’s a heavy frame to pedal around.

— bm164

★★★★★ United Kingdom · v2.13.0 · 21 Feb 2019

Awesome

Brighton on a bike! No worries about getting your own bike nicked. No worries about parking. No worries about traffic. Get everywhere for a quid! Beats the buses every time. Awesome!

★☆☆☆☆ United Kingdom · v2.54.0 · 29 Jul 2022

Great in principle, poor in design

Really great idea and app in principle however out of the last 5 times I’ve tried to use the bikes I’ve been unable to 3 of those times due to a fault (screen not working). You are able to cancel the booking and report the fault however the app isn’t clever enough to remove that bike from being able to be booked again. So if you try to book another bike at the same station you get stuck with the broken bike over and over again - very frustrating. If this poor design could be fixed it would be an absolutely great idea and brilliant way of getting around the city, unfortunately as it stands it’s totally unreliable.

Seems great to me

I have seen a couple of negative reviews but to me, this app is great. I signed up for a yearly plan and I can see easily which bikes are available. I just wish they extended the scheme further west in Brighton and Hove

— Rollerguppy

★☆☆☆☆ United Kingdom · v2.54.0 · 13 Jun 2022

Broken System

App rarely works. Seems to always select a bike that isn’t where you are, or selects a bike that’s broken - and for some reason will then never select an alternative bike. Immensely frustrating experience. The bikes are heavy and handlebars are sticky. I theory, great service. It just doesn’t deliver. And no customer service phone number to replace it. With any luck they’ll go out of business and be replaced with electric scooters.
