Funktioniert wenn man einfach die Adresse und Telefonnummer vom Hotel oder Ähnliches nimmt. Interessiert sowieso keinen. Wenn man über die App Guthaben aufläd dauert es einen Tag aber über Apple Wallet + Pay ist es sofort aufgeladen.

Zugegeben, die Regestrierung ist auf dem iPhone etwas umständlich, aber einfach die Hoteladresse und Telefonnummer des Hotels angeben, dann funktioniert es. Anschließend mindestens 5 Dollar aufladen und los geht’s! 😊
Horrible, Dysfunctional, and a Scam
I do not understand the purpose of this app. We live in 2026, in the world of Apple Pay (or the Samsung equivalent). Why in the world does a city as affluent as Los Angeles require you to download an app (if you can even call it that) to get on a shuttle bus. Quite frankly, it is a scam. The app does not work. It will ask you to load on money to your Tap LA. And then it will proceed to crash and steal your money. The icing on the cake is that their tap machine wasn’t even working! What a waste of money! The city of LA should be ashamed. Governor Newsom needs to step in immediately and fix this. I will NEVER visit again until they fix this! DO NOT DOWNLOAD!

I’d use it, if I could load exactly the amount I want. Like $1.75. I’m just a tourist. I’m not gonna round up and give you my hard earned money for nothing.

Ich habe es gerade (03.08.2024) probiert und leider kann ich aus Deutschland keinen Account anlegen. Schade, ich dachte, die App lernt endlich mal hinzu.

Honestly don’t bother using this app, it’s a freaking waste of time. They process the payment, it shows up in the transaction history, but they won’t put it on the actual tap card ! So you can’t use your card to tap, and take public transportation. It says there’s nothing on the tap… and when you go to transaction history, then it says it can take up a few minutes to show up on the tap : it takes more than an hour 1/2 or two. I’ve used it twice, does the same thing every time. I couldn’t tap to board the train even though I paid… I waited two hours so it finally showed up, so I could tap to leave ! Horrendous… twice ! Just get the normal tap card. This app is horrendous.
