When I play a large hole and it wraps round to the opponents cache, it drops a seed in there. According to the rules I know, you never drop a seed in the opposing cache…
I love mancala
Works well enough. Very easy to win though. I would rather play a friend than a computer, of course. That said, I have played against a cat with greater difficulty than this app. I would like to struggle to win a round.
Avalanche Mode Makes It Overall Fun But Flawed
Doesn’t allow for random amount of marbles in each hole to start each game which makes games repetitive against AI. Even after purchasing upgrade it’s still not an option. Otherwise would be a 5 ⭐️
Good but…where is the tutorial
I remember the rules of Mancala vaguely from a previous app so if you are an experienced player and just want a basic game, then this is for you. However, if you are wanting to learn how to play Mancala, this is not the app for you. there’s no tutorial only hints. , there are other puzzle games that you can play besides Mancala on the app which is neat.

Waste of money
Purchased this game so I could get options of difficulty. 1. The bot patterns are predictable on the hardest level. 2. The “hint” button is greyed out and I can’t use it! I love using hints on some games to better my skills and learn what to do in that play. Waste of money. I want a refund.

I wish there is a way to play two player on the app but I’m really good at Mancala it makes me relaxed/calm but the rest of it is fine the thing i like about it is that there is extra little games every thing is fun
It’s nice
It’s ok but it got boring… the computer only makes one move to start for me and idky. I tried different started and even copying but it gave me the same thing. It’s not a horrible game and it’s nice for learning the rules but I’m pretty sure if you’re seeking a challenge you’d have to pay for it. I appreciate the hustle but still.

I love a good old game of Mancala and wanting to play with some friends. Why is the sound not working?!?!?!?!? I don’t feel indulged to play the game without any sounds. Please fix.

A nice calm game to play whilst passing time. I’m not a huge game player but the colours, minimal sounds and ease of this game is really quite pleasant. I don’t know if these are the actual rules of Mancala but I feel like I’m a pro now. I hope they are the rules so I can play in person next time I see a board! 😍
What Rubbish!
I installed Mancala on iPad but it wouldn’t let me play! Just kept bringing up another childish game called Stone Chain! I couldn’t get into Mancala at all… I’ve now uninstalled! Absolute rubbish!

What are the rules of play?
I’m trying to play this game, but all kinds of things happen whilst I’m playing. I get a free play: why? I run out of moves: how many moves do I get? Occasionally, I get a “capture”: what is this? What is the object of the game? I’ve been recommended this game, but it just annoys me at the moment. It would be so much easier if I could see the rules.
Disappointing
I used to play this game a lot and loved the different levels. Ive just rediscovered the app again, but find now to play harder levels you have to pay. Very disappointing.

No clear rules
It’s a nice app, works perfectly; but when you click on the ‘rules’ button it takes to Wikipedia page for Mancala. The page covers the history of the game and lists different possible variants. So I don’t know exactly which rules the app uses. It wouldn’t have taken them long to write down the rules and include them in the app; but they didn’t bother to do that.
Seed count
Where did the numbers indicating the number of seeds in a space go? It’s hard to count them.

I think this is a good game but I found the instructions unclear and that made learning a bit tricky
Mancala is a great game - this is okay.
I love mancala. It’s brilliant. Wanted a more portable version after getting addicted on my Switch via 51 all time classics. This is a solid game, but as soon as I paid for the full version every completed game rewards me with an advert for another game. Didn’t happen for those first games to fool me. Just soulless. Just another reminder why iOS outside of Apple Arcade is just a nickel and dime depression.

Mancala is an very enjoyable and good workout for your brain. Even better is the fact that you aren’t bombarded with ads. I am delighted to have found this game to download, careful though, you will lose track of time.
