Did not receive ecopy for March 3
Did not receive copy for March 3. 2022
Poor read.
This paper is gone down the tubes. The reporting is disgraceful. It no longer has the ability for comments and like or dislike. The Monday paper is a joke. I hope somebody reads this over there and gets their act together.
Not receiving ePaper
I didn’t receive my ePaper for March 3 OR March 4 and didn’t receive the March 2nd edition until late on March 3rd.
Province review
Not the paper it once was. Really miss Gordon Clark and Mike Smyth. Now nobody watches the municipal governments or Victoria. Now too much fluff and not enough real news.
Province
Cannot always access my paper
Not able to get the Saturday Sun.
We get the Province paper daily. We would like to get the Saturday Sun as well, but we are unable to purchase it through ITunes. We used to buy the Saturday Sun with no problem and they would just charge our credit card. I don’t understand what the problem is.
This app is ridiculous, makes you re sign in almost daily in order to read an article.
Good crosswords
Enjoy crosswords
Province newspaper
Unfortunately The Province newspaper parrots the Vancouver Sun and has become an unnecessary publication.
Too much!!
After your update there is a lot of extra sites of other Papers I would never look at. Also it would be very appreciated if you could just give me the Vancouver Province only. I’m not paying for any of the others and have no intention of subscribing to them, so I don’t need to have them on my home page. Regards, Paul Bourgeois
On line subscription
If I don’t open the e-edition everyday, the daily paper will by pass it, and I can’t get into the edition I am missing. Philip Chan Victoria, B.C.
Doesn’t work
Doesn’t accept my valid login info from their website that also has an active subscription. Support has not been of help at all.
EPaper puzzles
I enjoy both the Sun and the Province. The only problem I encounter is printing the crossword puzzles. Often I can only print out the page and am not able to print out the image. Printing the whole page makes it unable to read. Sometimes, when I am able to print out the image half the clues are missing. I check the paper several times before it finally prints out correctly but part of my routine is doing the crosswords first. It would be nice to have this fixed. Thanked. Fran Icard
Province epaper
The app works fine in general. I also find comments tedious to display. My main complaint is that the app does not free up memory when older papers are deleted. I have to delete the app and reload it to free up memory. I tried reporting this on app support and it 'can't find the server'. This program needs some work!
Banner on unopened paper
With the latest update, banners on unread papers have disappeared. This was a very useful function as it let me delete a number of papers at a time by clearly identifying which had been read.
Read it every morning wherever ai am
Read it faithfully every morning
Duplicate purchases
I am frequently double charged for a single purchase…I suspect there is a software glitch in the app. Please fix or I will need to stop buying The Province paper.
MSP premiums
I read the paper every day. We live in a rural community and we always had the paper delivered before we moved here, A few days ago there was a article about MSP premiums. The headline said that they have been eliminated. This is not true. MSP premiums have been downloaded on business is what it should have said. Hardship for small business, and I am not alone in saying that.
Subscription
Why is Apple requesting a monthly subscription fee when I’ve paid for it directly to the paper?
No epaper delivered.
We have not been able to open our Province epaper for quite some time. We have phoned the a number of times. Our subscription is paid up but we still Can't get into it. Please help! Agnes DYCK
Missing issues
Do not like that I can not download a issue I missed. Ie it is Monday and I did not read Sundays paper.
Good app
App works like advertised but please fix icon on iPhone 4S, it's double the size compared to regular icons. Also tried to put in folder but app disappears until you reboot phone. Other than that surprisingly easy to read on iPhone screen.
Downer for Evernote users
One of the nice features was the ability to clip article to Evernote for later referencing. Sadly, the latest version lacks this feature. This is the reply I received from my query: "Sharing via Evernote is not available in ePaper app at this time. We have forwarded the feedback to our solution advisors."
App will not open unless you delete
The app will not stay open. If you close it then go back to finish reading later the app will not open again. Then you have to delete the app and download it again. The other ting wrong is it took me ten minutes to find a nickname in order to send in the review.
Frustrating app
The ePaper once downloaded is great but when you have to log out every other day and log back in, not so great. Called several times to fix including deleting and reloading the app. Appears the tech side cannot fix…
Still Has Problems
I had great hopes for this latest version based on the lengthy bug fix list. Alas, my favourite feature no longer works. I cannot post comments about each article in the paper. Perhaps the newspaper removed this feature but there was no notice. It is probably just a poorly coded app.
App crashing
Love the app but for the last week i cannot open it, it just crashes. Hope this will be fixed soon.
Can’t download back issues
With this new version of the app, I’m unable to download back issues of the newspaper where it was previously possible. They need to fix this and it will be a good app again.
The province
Paper taking over an hour lately to download Have strong internet and full battery What could be the problem Does not download automatically
Whats Wrong now?
Crashing before can even open ... Maybe they haven't caught up with IOS 13 on ipad. deleted app and replaced. Worked for one session. Gone again
No access
With a paid subscription to newspaper delivery, I understand I was to get the e version of your paper included. I got the e version for maybe 1 month and have not been able to gain access ever since. Very disappointed. Feel cheated.
So-So
I have used this app and the related Vancouver Sun for a year or so. The automatic download does not work 99% of the time. I have to download manually. The automatic download gets almost to the end then starts over. Is this a slow server or a fault with the app? My iPad has a good internet connection. The app allows you to make comments on the articles and read what others have said. The problem is that it takes several taps to access this feature. Other apps on my iPad readily respond to the taps, so I think it is a problem with the app. If you let the iPad sleep, the app loses its internet connection and I have to delete the app from memory and restart the app. Other apps allow you to resume from where you left off. Time for a rewrite of this app.
Finally working properly
Thank you for updating and making the app not freeze anymore. Can finally enjoy reading the paper on my iPad again.
Not impressed
Didn't know there have been upgrades, apparently there were, as per above review. Having same problem as above, 'subscription error' yet there's no problem charging me monthly. Getting tired of the hassles with this app, who wants to start their day off angry they can't access what they've paid for. App so lousy won't even let me post a review
Strange bugs
Smart flow is nice. But I'm not sure what I'm looking out when not in smart flow. There's just blue scare on a blank screen. Where are the pics in the articles? Not sure if I would subscribe.
Freezes constantly and iOS 8 update needed
The iOS 7 version took seven months to update and fix crashes and bugs. Now that iOS 8 is here it has gone two steps back. Constantly freezes and has to be reset just to turn a page. Sine iOS 8 the auto-downloads fail every time. Been a Province subscriber for decades and this poor app support has me considering a cancellation.
