Excellent app, Amazing!!!😍
"This is an amazing app! I'm Korean, and I always look up this dictionary when studying English words to learn about their etymology. Thanks to this, I can memorize English words very easily and accurately. It's the best dictionary. I highly recommend it to everyone."
Purchased app gone!
I had purchased this app some years ago for 32 usd. Now that I came to re-install it on a new phone, it says it needs an in-app purchase to activate! And it doesn’t recognize my previous purchase! Seriously?!

Good but….
The basic features of the app are great and the content is better than most other apps. The only problem is that a lot of the “features” ( AI stuff, flash card games, etc ) cause app crashes. It doesn’t bother me too much but if I’m going to recommend the app to my students I don’t want them to be disappointed by so many crashes. I do recommend it even with those crashes. I just make sure to let them know that it is worth it even if those “special” features don’t really work …
之前是在电脑上购买的，后来在手机上登陆。为什现在么电脑还要重新买一遍

Do Not Buy!
MacOS: 15.0.1 The latest Mac system DON’T BUY! I purchased this app in April 2022, and it malfunctioned this year in 2024, becoming unusable. I reached out to the support team at the end of August. On September 3, they briefly responded suggesting I restart my device, which proved ineffective. I followed up with another email on September 5 asking for further assistance, but then all communication ceased. I sent additional emails on September 18 and 25, including my purchase record to verify my initial purchase, but the developers have ignored all my correspondence and never replied again. The dictionary I paid for is still non-functional, and the developers’ irresponsible behavior feels downright fraudulent. Do not buy!
重复收费？
之前298元买过，最近不能用，我以为重装可以，结果删除后app store没了，今天发现有了，标168元，我以为以前买过了这次不会扣费，结果还是扣了，申请退款中。虽然使用一直不错，这个bug很让我费解。

Exception dictionary
I extensively use dictionaries when studying. I look up every word I don’t know. This is my favorite because the definitions are simple and straight to the point. They do not use other unnecessary complicated words which simply confuse the matter. It is also a great dictionary for foreigners and children. And it has simple derivations. Sometimes, like all dictionaries with derivations, they will link to other words to complete the derivation, which is unfortunate. Would be much better if they just completed the job right then and there. Also, note to designer: COM- link is broken. There is no other dictionary that compares to this one online. Microsoft Encarta is amazing as well, but only available in hard copy. But for online, this one is unbeatable, hands down. And it is simpler than Encarta.

The app stopped working this past weekend.
Pls help. Total failure. I’ve been using the app daily the past 3 years. I’m a teacher and have recommended it to many of my students.
They ruined the app. It doesn’t work
Definitions don’t show. Their advice to access the settings does not work. The app crashes every single time I press on the settings logo. It’s like they don’t want you to use the app you paid for. I just hate it when they ruin a good thing for no reason at all.

I purchased this app in 2020 and recently started not working, asking me for in app pay. I emailed them to fix it, but they are not responsive.

Hi, cannot open the app recently! Showing the message "total failure"!! Plz assist!
Wants me to repurchase it!!
I purchased the app a few years ago (LDOCE PLUS), but recently the app was not working properly (the definitions of any words were blank). I deleted it to reinstall, thinking it would fix the issue. However, after reinstalling the app, it requires me to repurchase it again! I tried to restore the license in the app, but it says no license found. I paid $35.71 and now I can't use the app.
App failure
I am writing to ask you to investigate my problem. I bought longman dictionary 6 years ago, and it has failed recently. Now this app advices me to buy it again. Could you please help me to restore it?

Hi there, I don't know where to contact you guys. I couldn't open this App after I updated it. Could you help? Thanks and regards, Alice
12 years of bookmarking, and I lost them all!
I should admit, Longman dictionary is brilliant in terms of how easily and precisely can explain words compared with other dictionaries. For the past 15 years I was using this dictionary on a daily basis. I was using it on my iPhone but recently, I got an iPad and I installed the app on it. When I set my bookmarks to be read by iCloud, I noticed there is none. Also, I noticed I lost them all on my cellphone! I even backed up my bookmarks by emailing them to myself, but the app cannot open the backup. It crashes each time! Today I noticed the app is not working as well! It asks me to purchase it again! So what’s going on with your app? It was working nice and well so far and suddenly everything is broken! My five star to the dictionary. And zero star to it’s app. Please fix these issues. This app was great and it can be great and super star again. Thank you!
