Frequent Malfunctions and Dysfunctional
I purchased this app years ago and since day one it’s had numerous bugs. I’ve never encountered an app with this many problems.
Search & history issue
This is one of the best apps I ever paid for it but I noticed these problems after recent updates 1- I have to enter whole word then press search to find the meaning of the word which is way different from what it was before ( I could have see the possible words while I were typing ) and this is very inconvenient. 2- I can’t see history of words I have searched before
APP window display issue
The font size displayed on the word interface is very small. Do not display the background colour.

Best dictionary
It stopped working in 17.2 and I was scared. None of existing dictionaries are tried were as good as this app. Just installed 17.3 betta to see if it works. It did. I’m happy now.
Despite being purchased, it doesn’t work!!
I purchased this app more than one year ago, but it doesn’t work anymore.
Whet's time out?
After the update, it keeps sending me this"about time out" notifications, very annoying, plz fix!
Great app
It's great to have the best English Dictionary in your pocket!
Extremely unreliable on updates
Every year after an update, you’ll lose all your data (bookmarks, history, etc) and have to purchase the new version as you also lose your subscription. Perfectly ludicrous.
Need improve function
This is really good dictionary, however it still lacks of a neccessary function, which is " Family words"( like PC version). It is very important for English learners, particular at begining stage. I hope dev team of the Longman dictionary will impose this feature in next update
願うアップデート
ある単語の例文中の解らない単語を検索かけて戻ってくると、単語検索のトップに戻ってしまう。 使いづらい。
突然使えなくなった
語句の見出しの検索はできるけど、意味が表示されなくなりました。
App is not working anymore, it says to download the new update. There is no new version though!!
Can you please fix this issue? I bought this app more than 1 year ago.
Headache and no support
I emailed support department 3 times regarding my In-App so far and no rest. After updating my app it says my license expired. Does such a thing exist that in-app that I purchased and used for so many years is expired and have to repurchase it again?!! This happened before as well and they said it’s impossible. I took pictures of the messages I received and sent it to support department, no response yet ! I wrote a review about this before and they replied back it’s impossible. Unfortunately I cannot post a picture here that my in-app after update asking me to purchase it again.
God but serious problem in bookmarking
When you use this dictionary while using bookmarking function, you may lose your temper. Sometimes when I use this function, its whole function doesn't work. Just blank screen and later(I don't know exactly when) it revives. And some copy problems are there.

Updating issues
I’m really tired of updating issues with this app. Every other year the app stops working and asking for update. However after updating it asks me to pay again.
Crashes on iPhone 7 after updated to 9.0.5
Hello, this app stopped working on my iPhone 7 , iOS 13.2 after updating to version 9.0.5 It is working on iPhone Pro Max tho, hopefully you provide a fix for this and I will update my review .

Greediness smudges Bussines
This app is used to be the best. Extra paid options, however, are deceiving games. I paid for examples search and offline sound options. None of them works. Sound download takes ages until reach 90’s % then stop to restart again. Why you do that?
not bad but not good enough either
this might be the most expensive app I've ever paid, coz i really need a " off line" dict which i can use in my classes. this one fills the need but believe or not, some very basic words cannot be found in this one. perhaps the developer thinks every one knows those words
Stopped working in iOS 17
The app worked great before but now stopped working after I upgraded my iPhone to iOS 17.2. The search result is always blank now. Please fix. Updated: app working again after downloading the Example Sound DL in Settings - Content and restarting the app. It should not be that hard.
Excellent app
Longman did a great job. It is the most useful app I've ever had.
Please fix the crash problem after update
I'm using a iPhone 6 Plus and keep crashing after the latest update.
Unpleasantly obese updates
Although this is a good dictionary, I find it hard to believe every update includes 588 MB of new data. Why punish faithful users with these obese upgrades? There simple has to be a slimmer solution.
can’t use
Can not search anything, the search page is empty…what wrong with it ? How to fix it?
Total failure
Update the new version, it’s total failure. I cannot open it!

Great dictionary, yet it needs refinements
This version of LDOCE5 of Enfour is far better and more complete than any other dictionary, including the new LDOCE6 of Pearson. However, the app still needs several refinements: - It does not allow to download any extra content; - There are some graphical glitches, especially under "About" menu; - The thesaurus should be enhanced as well as LDOCE5+, which used to be sold by EnglishChannel. - Improving speed and reliability under iOS9
Owesome dictionary

Failed to install
Downloaded 4.1.6 upgrade in Itunes but after loading it says LDOCE failed to install!!! It bugs me a lot asking for big updates and now it stops working!

Can’t download the sample sound and the activator thesaurus
I brought the dictionary and in app two purchases with sample sound and activator thesaurus. I can’t download and use the two In apps purchase for long time. I sent email for the problems, but no responses.
Relatively not worth for the price
There is no thesaurus comes with dictionary though it says it does. You will find many words are missing eg. Goofy, etc....not a complete comprehensive dictionary. Other dictionary avaiable on itune such as dictionary pro, dictionary reference are more complete and way cheaper. Very disappointed. Not worthy of buying.
