Stars and Stripes
I love reading free issues of this, it’s a great app and the best out there reporting news of US Military Forces. Was looking to subscribe, to app, but after reading subscription, realized ordinary civilians weren’t eligible. Very disappointed.
Why can’t I access content with a paid subscription
Have an active subscription, they’re taking my money, but I still get the “you’ve reached the limit of free articles, please subscribe” I miss getting it in print on base, was much better in print.
I.S, Forces status
Stars and Stripes provides excellent inside out information/news on U.S. forces. The granular detail and insights into to status of our uniformed members of the armed services, is not found in other news sources.
Still crashes
Even after the last update the app still crashes after opening
What’s going on with the APP
Been a subscriber for several years. All of a sudden my app stopped working.
Awesome.
Love the app and Stars and Stripes.
All News . . .
Tried to access content from iPad, iPhone and pc, no joy. It’s not me, it’s you.
Reaction to Woodstock concert by Vietnam veteran
Opening the Stars and Stripes center fold showing Woodstock concert while in combat gave me a feeling of disappointment. I would like to obtain this article and can’t seem to be able to get it? Can Stars and Stripes verify the article existed or was it just my imagination?
Bring your Propaganda-Detector Goggles!
I am grateful for military-specific news outlets, but generally annoyed with Stars & Stripes’ consistent-effort to apply hopeless liberal left-leaning slant to every article. Factual news would best-serve our community—free of editorial-staff’s cringeworthy/ tone-deaf politics, so ALL that serve can count on this resource for news with CREDIBILITY. 🇺🇸
A good reliable source!
Stars and Stripes is a good reliable source to stay up to date on what’s going on in the military for this old retired veteran. If I could afford, I would subscribe, but I’m thankful for all the free articles!
Worst App!
I’m a longtime digital subscriber. This app won’t open on my iPad, so it does nothing to load content. Deleted from iPad and downloaded it again, but same result. Why hasn’t this been fixed?
Stars and Stripes Review
Have enjoyed S&S for 13 of my 31yeRs of service. My recent discovery of your online edition keeps me updated on is happenings.
Enjoying but spotty
I like being connected now that I am no longer active but this app frequently does not update for days at a time. Until the app get better and more relaible....
The best source for military news
Whether you’re active duty, reserves, or just interested in the happenings of America’s military, there’s no better source than Stars and Stripes. Regardless of branch, the coverage is timely, accurate, and well written. I cannot recommend this app enough, especially for members of the service and their families.
Error on load
Error error error Maybe they have no news Again can’t load articles Tried several times Today it’s just like a spin cycle never actually loading anything
To political
You need to keep S&S apolitical, meaning stay neutral. Your audience are from both camps, but we live by chain of command regardless who it is..
News
Love the news Terrance LWilson
Politically Biased
News with a Propaganda Slant. I remember when I was on active duty out at sea how the sailors joked about it being “Hammer & Sickle”.
News Worthy
This is the ONLY place Americans can get real, actual information on where & what our troops are doing. The main stream media ignores most of this information! Thank you & keep up the great work you do!
S&S not updating on iPhone/iPad
S&S app hasn’t updated since approximately 14 Feb. I’m showing the latest update was 4 months ago. Please check out and ask developers to fix. Thanks
Review
I have been reading S&S for more than 60 years (yes, I come from an Army family) and it is so much more than just a news source. It is my hometown newspaper. I my morning would not be complete without the S&S. Thank you.
The app itself is good…
But when did a newspaper that is to represent servicemen and women become so politically biased?
Getting uptodate.
I enjoy reading the stores of new bases in Poland, reminds me of my Dad’s tour in Germany 1956-58. Our transport to Germany was a WWII troop carrier, train ride, then our apartment, 3 bedroom, 1st floor.
Update doesn't work
I updated the app but it couldn't open.
Unbiased news reporting
Love this paper as they deal in actual news not fabrication! Facts! Nice to know you are reading just the facts!
Keeps me up-to-date
Keeps me up-to-date on what’s happening around the world in a first class manner. Thank you, Mate SeaBee Andy
